This place was a great choice for me. I decided to check this place out for my annual eye exam. When I called to find out if my job insurance was accepted. I was also giving great information about ( free parking, don't have to have a appointment and that I most of all I would receive a full eye exam) So the day that I decided to go it was about 10:30am. I didn't have a appointment but true me I didn't have to set for a long time. The place is very nice and friendly. The eye Dr. Was great and I enjoyed my exam. I was able to find a very nice pair of glasses. But this place has a very nice selection so get ready to like more then one pair. It was less the 2 weeks and I received a call that my glasses are ready for pick up. When I tell you I love my new glasses I love them. The prescription is great I can see so much better. The customer service is the best! I scheduled my appointment for about 8 weeks in advance. When I arrived it was busy, but the line sped along and the desk helper checked me in quickly. My eye exam was swift, pleasant, and comforting by a knowledgeable doctor. A couple forms were missing a signature that I didn't realize until I got home, but I should have double checked before I left) and they fixed it all up for me instantly via Google Maps chat! I have no idea how that works but I found a chat option in my Google maps when I looked up their number to contact them. Then on top of all of that, the glasses I ordered from them were SO CUTE, but I got sent out west for a job and got stuck out here because of the virus so I couldn't pick them up. I wrote to them because I realized I'm stuck out west without a flight back into the midwest for the foreseeable months because I don't want to return and bring the virus back to my parents, so they offered to MAIL them to me. Y'all, I love this place so much. Defintely check this place out for your eye needs. Everyone from the front desk, to the doctors on staff, to the management seems really helpful. Dr. Hindman is very nice and professional. The front staff was also very polite and helpful with assisting me in picking out my frame. Prices were very fair on the frames. So... last year I realized that I needed glasses. When I was driving looking for a decent priced gas station and would think that I just read $2.25 for unleaded and realized when I drove in that it was really $2.75 I thought that's it I need some glasses. So after doing some research I ended up going here. I called and asked to make an appointment and I was told that it was not necessary. I walked in later that day filled out some papers and was seen within 10 min. The eye exam was a fast and a learning experience. The optometrist was nice and explained everything he was doing. I was able to pick out my glasses that same day and they were ready within 2 days. This past summer I had a small accident with my glasses and I was able to walk in and get them fixed right away. Since this is the first optical place I've ever been too I find the experience to be pleasant and easy every time I go in! read more

Staff is very professional and courteous. They have a wide array of frames to choose from that include big names (Dolce, Gucci, Burberry, and more). My husband likes them because he needs wide frames and they carry these as well. Oh, and if you're looking for a place that does eye exams for children that do not yet know their alphabet, this is the place to go to. TERRIBLE customer service! TERRIBLE. I walked in for a trail pair of contact lenses, because my one of my contacts ripped while I was visiting my family in Chicago. The lady at the front desk was rude! She had a terrible attitude, only looked up once to see my prescription, and messed with papers the entire time while speaking to me. Her attitude seemed like I was bothering her, although she's at he front desk to give customer service. I walked out eventually, and told her I didn't like her attitude. Hey angry white guy, this message is for you. I had an eye exam at your place years ago and the optometrist was a jerk and your frame selection was bad so I never went back. Today I took a pair of frames that I ordered at Warby Parke into Miami Optical for adjustment. Angry white guy adjusted my frames in 10 seconds and asked me if I bought them off the internet? No, I bought them at Warby Parker in Lincoln Park. The nice clean place with friendly opticians and docs. Dude says: Why didn't you take them there for adjustment? Because they shipped them to my house and they cost $145 all in. The angry white guy, in a nasty tone of voice, told me customer service matters, service matters. Why yes it does old angry guy and so does a clean optical center, your place is dismal and dirty, not to mention the nasty optometrist years ago. And if you are that threatened by the internet why don't you just charge a 10.00 fee to adjust glasses that were not purchased at your place? Hey just roll with it and replace your tired nasty carpet and chairs while you are at it. read more

on 1-5-13 Me and my 2 children go here shortly before noon of course it was no one waiting to be serviced. The place is dirty carpet and chairs and reeks of odor and in need of serious upgrades. I was awaiting my 3rd child to arrive and one of the staff ask me if i had insurance i said yes VSP and my dependents are included but my daughter was on her way with the card. so she looks me up on the vsp website without even goign through the different vsp screens to verify my children were covered. She keep insisting i pay $52.00 for each. So my daughter arrived with the card verifying coverage for my dependents but this lady kept stating i pay additionally over my $5.00 co-pay. So i just walked out due to i did not want anything inside this dirty place. The odor was horrible. I will never again go here. read more

This place is shady! The staff is terribly unfriendly and the prices are outrageous. House of contacts my ass. Exam rates start in the &160s but prices are indefinite. The girl said the final price of the exam will be determined afterwards and prices for an exam could raise to the $300's. For an exam? Its bad enough we have to renew our prescriptions once a year. To not know what price your getting is outrageous. You can find much cheaper prices in the area. If you don't have full coverage optical do not go here. Prices for glasses exams are in the $60's but there selection is very limited. In short. Dont go here. Unless you are insured or enjoy throwing your money away. read more

Pro -Doctor was a very kind older man, knowledgeable, straight to the point, and quick -The man who does glasses adjustments is very kind and skilled and has a great eye for symmetry. I have lopsided ears, so my glasses in the past always had to be adjusted to appear level on my face. The man felt the sides of my head and ear lobes. Then he melted/shaped the plastic arms until they fit perfectly (they look very even and level) without slipping. -No appointment necessary to see eye doctor -I was in and out within half an hour -Affordable glasses -Opened until 7pm, very convenient for my busy work life -I can go back to get my glasses readjusted, free of charge. Con -The front desk women have poor customer service -They could not figure out how to enter my insurance information. I had to call VSP myself and have it sorted out while I was in front of them -The interior has dim lights and old chairs. It wouldn't hurt if they remodeled. read more

This place is awesome. I walked in without an appointment. They checked my insurance options and showed me my pricing right away. By the time I filled out my medical history, they were ready to give me an exam. Dr Hauser was very forward and to-the-point. The staff was also very helpful helping me select glasses. My daughter just broke her glasses so I was kinda in a bind. I needed to call an eye doctor quick well I called a couple places. And was told I could get an appt. in a couple of days. But she can't read the chalk board in class so a couple days was not good enough then I was told by my sister that they were quick and that they accepted walk- ins so I was out the door and sure enough we filled out some paper work and were in and out of there within 30 mins. which I think was awesome cause I didn't feel like sitting there all afternoon. Some glasses that they sell come out bad and the frames break really easily because of the material they are made of.The workers there affirmed that they were covered by the company that made them.They still want to charge me the same price,after being paid the first time.They also affirmed that they will fix them for free,they knew the company had made a problem while doing them,but they still want to charge me again.I recommend not going there . read more
