Delicious Mexican food with beautiful views of the water. This place is huge with multiple bars and dining areas. Its menu is both vegetarian and gluten free friendly. We enjoyed the appetizers and nachos plus refreshing cocktails. The service was fantastic. The sorbet dessert was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Celebrated my mom's birthday and really enjoyed the food. The carne and catch all appetizer Un poco de todo that came with HUEVOS RELLENOS, ALITAS, TACOS DORADOS, EMPANADAS DE MARISCOS, PORK CHICHARRONES were both good. I would order the cantaloupe drink and Skirt Steak, Mushroom Cream Sauce, Roasted Poblanos every time I come. The service is kind of rushed but I get they stay crowded and busy. The birthday candle was a very nice touch, great place for celebrations or happy hour if you find yourself at the Wharf.

Our 5 star experience started with the hostess giving us a balcony table overlooking the wharf. The service was incredible. Very attentive staff. All 3 in our party were pleased with drinks and meals. Portions were smaller than we are accustomed to at Mexican restaurants but not skimpy. An appetizer is a good idea. The spicy margaritas really have a kick and great flavor.

Stopped in Mi Vida for a happy hour drink (and possibly a fish bowl(?)). Unfortunately, they had the fish glasses but not the ingredients to make the drink on question, so simple HH drinks it was. We saddled up at the bar top and enjoyed a few cocktails, while nibbling on chips&guac and chips&salsa. Note: this is a spot that does not offer chips and salsa for free. Overall, nice spot at the wharf for high-end Mexican fare.

This place was very inviting. Allowed us to sit at the bar to enjoy HH while it was slow with my niece. The food was good and was served fast & still hot. Frozen drink was very good & strong. Can easily take the tequila.

Decided to dine here while absorbing the sunny day. Reservation was made, we arrived a few minutes early and was able to get seated outside. The sun was definitely shining. There were umbrellas out for certain tables to shelter from some of the sun. After awhile employees came by and lowered the shade that assisted with the sun. We ordered our spirited drinks, chips and guacamole, and tacos. Drinks came and the one was very pretty in a fish designed glass. The chips and guac came out reason time followed by our tacos. The tacos and drinks to me were a waste of money spent. The steak taco was filled with plenty of meat but lacked the onions and cilantro that was suppose to be a part of the taco. It came meat and tortilla. The fish taco was tiny and greasy; literally 2 bites. The drink was not a hit either. This will be a one time visit unfortunately. Money wasted.

We visited Mi Vida for brunch and were honestly unimpressed. The food is okay, but the portions are extremely small and overpriced. Exhibit A is the wings (alitas), they charge $8 for 3 wingettes and they tasted terrible. The other food tasted better, like the shrimp tacos and the burrito tejano, but again the portions were extremely small. The service was also okay. It was good after they first came to our table, but it took a long time to even get water. We've been before and had a better experience, so I won't judge their lunch and dinner. If you're looking for brunch though, I'd recommend somewhere else.

This place is gorgeous. I was able to drop in 15 minutes before hAbby hour had stopped. Thankfully, I was able to order one drink at the bar and then join my table for dinner. That drink was pretty good. It was the house Margarita. The salsa was really great and had a really good kick to it, so I would give that a 10 out of 10. they did a good job keeping our chips refilled as well. I also really enjoyed the Souiza Enchiladas and the elote. One of the most frustrated things was They do not serve regular fries! We had 3 children with us. And would you believe it, They do not like sweet potato fries, so that was a bummer. I also was appreciative that they let me order a quesadilla, which wasn't even on the menu, but it was small as heck, and they charged me $21 for it! so I would say, if you're gonna go here, I would not recommend this as a kid friendly place. everything else about it was lovely.

I went to Mi Vida for my friend's birthday and had a really nice experience. I've been here before for lunch, but this was my first time coming for dinner, and the menu had a lot of great options. The food was good overall, but the brussels sprouts were definitely the star of the show they were AMAZING. I also got the crab enchiladas. They were okay, but for me they had a little too much onion and not enough crab, so the onion flavor was a bit overpowering. Even with that, I still enjoyed the overall experience. Our server was delightful, and I really appreciated that they sang happy birthday for my friend, which made the night feel extra special.

Mi Vida is a Mexican restaurant with multiple locations throughout DC. I've been to this specific location multiple times and it's okay for what it is. I would say the food overall is decent and the service is good. It's just not great. The food lack seasoning, that traditional spice mixture and slightly kick found in Mexican food. It's a place I go to when other people recommend it, but it's not one I myself would go make it a note to go to. The restaurant ambiance is lovely and they have a nice outdoor seating section.

Great food and great with allergies! Shanon, our server, was attentive and made our experience great! We came on a Tuesday for happy hour and got tacos, drinks, and shared the nachos. If you have an allergy they take your order, confirm it with the chef, and then come back to you with any concerns or modifications.

I went on a solo dinner date at Mi Vida on The Wharf Sat at the bar and simply enjoyed my own company. There's something so peaceful about taking your time and savoring the moment. I had the guajillo burger with the tastiest sweet potato fries so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Paired it with a piña colada to start. The deviled eggs had the perfect little kick of spice such a good appetizer. My second drink was a Palovera so good! For dessert, I had tres leches my favorite. And of course, I had to finish the night with an espresso martini. Beautiful ambiance, amazing service Jose was so attentive! and such a cozy vibe.

We decided to do our Cinco Demayo celebrations early to beat the large crowds. Figured we would bar/restaurant hop in the DC area. Mi Vida was our last stop and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation, however we arrived early and the bar had seating and was generally open. We sat down ordered food/appetizers and drinks and WoW. We had the guacamole with crab, shrimp, bell pepper ( opted out of the halopina). Absolutely fantastic. Pick a tequila and I am sure they have it. Full Bar with good variety of cocktails. If you make it to DC, do stop in ....we were not disappointed. The vibe was casual and very relaxed.

The food was overall ok, but not for the price. The Fajitas was $44. Not worth the price.

There are. I believe their menu has symbols, like "G" next to items that contain gluten, so there are quite a bit of items on menu to choose from.

I'm not one to complain about complimentary chips and salsa, but man no flavor and no salt in either salsas nor on the chips! Bummer. The garlic shrimp were pretty solid, albeit a fairly small portion of 4 shrimps for 18 bucks. The lomo saltado really missed the mark. Grey looking steak a la Applebees, not much flavor overall in the dish... beans and rice were good! Shrimp fajitas were also very forgettable, shrimp were well cooked but lacked seasoning. The 'epic margarita' aka a coronarita was okay, margarita itself lacked brightness and was a bit too sweet.
