I visited here for a Mother's Day brunch. I'd been to their other location before, so I had an idea of what to expect. The food was really good but I did think it was a bit on the pricier side. I had the enchiladas and sweet plantains. We also shared drink pitchers. I guess being right on the water justifies some of those costs, but I did wish the portions were a bit bigger or the price a little lower. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and the views are incredible -- especially up on their second floor. I'd definitely come back, maybe for happy hour next time.

We decided to do our Cinco Demayo celebrations early to beat the large crowds. Figured we would bar/restaurant hop in the DC area. Mi Vida was our last stop and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation, however we arrived early and the bar had seating and was generally open. We sat down ordered food/appetizers and drinks and WoW. We had the guacamole with crab, shrimp, bell pepper ( opted out of the halopina). Absolutely fantastic. Pick a tequila and I am sure they have it. Full Bar with good variety of cocktails. If you make it to DC, do stop in ....we were not disappointed. The vibe was casual and very relaxed.

Decided to dine here while absorbing the sunny day. Reservation was made, we arrived a few minutes early and was able to get seated outside. The sun was definitely shining. There were umbrellas out for certain tables to shelter from some of the sun. After awhile employees came by and lowered the shade that assisted with the sun. We ordered our spirited drinks, chips and guacamole, and tacos. Drinks came and the one was very pretty in a fish designed glass. The chips and guac came out reason time followed by our tacos. The tacos and drinks to me were a waste of money spent. The steak taco was filled with plenty of meat but lacked the onions and cilantro that was suppose to be a part of the taco. It came meat and tortilla. The fish taco was tiny and greasy; literally 2 bites. The drink was not a hit either. This will be a one time visit unfortunately. Money wasted.

I went to Mi Vida for my friend's birthday and had a really nice experience. I've been here before for lunch, but this was my first time coming for dinner, and the menu had a lot of great options. The food was good overall, but the brussels sprouts were definitely the star of the show they were AMAZING. I also got the crab enchiladas. They were okay, but for me they had a little too much onion and not enough crab, so the onion flavor was a bit overpowering. Even with that, I still enjoyed the overall experience. Our server was delightful, and I really appreciated that they sang happy birthday for my friend, which made the night feel extra special.

Mi Vida is a Mexican restaurant with multiple locations throughout DC. I've been to this specific location multiple times and it's okay for what it is. I would say the food overall is decent and the service is good. It's just not great. The food lack seasoning, that traditional spice mixture and slightly kick found in Mexican food. It's a place I go to when other people recommend it, but it's not one I myself would go make it a note to go to. The restaurant ambiance is lovely and they have a nice outdoor seating section.

I went here to have brunch with my coworkers. We were going to the music festival, which would be held by the water, and one of my friends had never been to the Wharf before, so it was the perfect day. We had a blast!! This place is phenomenal. We sat upstairs by the window and indoors, and it was so cute. We were able to people-watch as the Wharf filled with people; service was great. Everyone was super, super nice, and the food was delicious. I got the burger to eat, and we ordered two pitchers of the poncha de lola, and oh my God, it was so so delicious. I definitely would come back to this place. I think I will bring my mom here for Mother's Day brunch or for her birthday. I am obsessed, and the location is prime.

I went on a solo dinner date at Mi Vida on The Wharf Sat at the bar and simply enjoyed my own company. There's something so peaceful about taking your time and savoring the moment. I had the guajillo burger with the tastiest sweet potato fries so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Paired it with a piña colada to start. The deviled eggs had the perfect little kick of spice such a good appetizer. My second drink was a Palovera so good! For dessert, I had tres leches my favorite. And of course, I had to finish the night with an espresso martini. Beautiful ambiance, amazing service Jose was so attentive! and such a cozy vibe.

Able to grab a table without a reservation on a busy Sunday but the restaurant was busy so would probably recommend a reservation during high traffic times. Service was attentive but unable to make some minor allergy modifications to the guac. The food tasted fresh and had good flavor. Some items were spicier than expected but nothing crazy! Looks like a bunch of things on the menu to try with fun twists (like blue cheese and grapes in the guacamole)

Great food and great with allergies! Shanon, our server, was attentive and made our experience great! We came on a Tuesday for happy hour and got tacos, drinks, and shared the nachos. If you have an allergy they take your order, confirm it with the chef, and then come back to you with any concerns or modifications.

Mi Vida had some of the best Mexican Fusion food I've had. They had a bunch of vegan options and everything we had was fresh and was delicious as well! I loved the margarita flight honestly they all tasted amazing and I loved the vegan beef empanadas as well. The enchilada I got was more like a Mexican pizza than an enchilada but the red sauce and the filling itself was so so good. The service was quick our waitress was incredibly helpful and the views were beautiful. I'll definitely be back!

For years I've loved coming here! I want to give a 5 but it's a 4 to me now I always get the roasted chicken but when I went yesterday I was informed that dish was no longer on the menu. I settled for the chicken fajitas which looked incredible but were just okay so I was a little sad Over all the ambiance as well as the service in this place is fantastic. They brought me a little desert for my birthday which I thought was a 10/10. We left no crumbs

I really enjoyed the ambiance here. The quesabirria was really flavorful. It's paired with pickled cauliflower and a sauce that has a bit of an aftertaste. I recommend queso for dipping. The carne asada was paired with a mushroom cream sauce - absolutely delicious w/a side of rice and beans. I also asked for a skinny margarita. Everything was on point. I'd visit again.

Other patrons who got nice tables after we were already seated.

Empty restaurant but sat us at closest table directly by server stand. Constant traffic by staff. Beware of a 20% gratuity built in to tab yet service was worth maybe 2%. Also, there were only two of us and receipt said gratuity added for groups of 5 or more.

The taco was amazing and was some kind of fried catfish! YUM! And the enchiladas were delicious as well. The green sauce cut through the overabundance of cheesy goodness quite well. I like that you can mix and match tacos so you're not stuck with all of the same one. The menu didn't have a ton of choices, which made deciding a bit easier. They had an amazing bar staff too that was absolutely killing it mixing cocktails. The margaritas were on point and the one had a flair of "salt air" foam instead of a messy, sticky rim. Pitcher of margaritas for the table: smooth, rich, not too strong. Exactly what a group lunch needs without turning into a whole situation. The guacamole is terrific and they'll adjust the spice level to your liking, which is a small thing that goes a long way when you're feeding a whole office with different tolerances. The tacos are built on house-made masa tortillas and you can taste that they care. I did the Pollo à la Parrilla and the Chilito de Res. Both landed. The beef especially, slow-braised and seasoned like they meant it. This is a José Andrés restaurant, so you already know the room has energy. If you're in the District and haven't made this a regular stop, fix that.

For entrees I ordered the chicken fajita and my husband ordered the birria tacos. The tacos did not come with the sauce. We thought the birria tacos was suppose to come with the sauce. The service was ok, we had to tell our server we weren't seeing him enough, there's a 2 hour limit and we weren't getting a chance to order more drinks. After that he kept the drinks coming. WARNING! You DO NOT get to choose what items you want from the ayce brunch menu, they bring every single dish out and they do it at a pace that you barely get a chance to enjoy anything. Every dish is loaded with fillers and barely any meat. Every dish has a similar flavor of chilli, lime and cilantro. I say this with the upmost respect to this restaurant, the only good thing about the brunch were the churros and they don't give you that until you're ready to leave. The chicken and waffles were almost good but the sauce on the chicken with the waffle just ruins it. The steak and eggs were ok and you only get a 1oz piece of steak. Birria tacos were just ok and the fish taco was ok. Everything else was not worth it. A lot of items went to waste. If we could've chose exactly what we wanted, it might have been better. This would also add to why the service did not start off well because our server gave us our first drink and left. After that, every item from the brunch menu were just getting dropped off by food runners. It became overwhelming. We didn't even have room on the table for all of that. Then we also had to ask for new plates because we did not want to mix the flavors of every dish. The drinks were also not good, I had margaritas for my drink of choice and they are so sour and filled with cheap tequila... respectfully for 70$ a person you're better off ordering à la carte. The restaurant is beautiful though, great for pictures and the food is colorful as well but the flavors are just not that good and you're ultimately paying for a bunch of food that you don't really even want nor enjoy. I really hope they adjust this because I heard it was 10x better in the past.
