I find this disappointing as I always like to go to try different dishes from the standard menu. To me it shows that the restaurants that do a special menu are normally more innovative. Had I known this beforehand I would not have come. Having said that the food I sampled was decent enough. My appetizer was the Korean chicken which was plentiful. My main was the ribs. I was surprised to see that it was just that only meat. I expected there to have been a bit of a garnish or greens. Between the ribs and chicken my whole diet was meat. The dessert was two choices. I went with the chocolate cake. The hocolate cake slice was the smallest slice I've ever been served in a restaurant. I really liked the decor. I also really liked the music that was being played. Service was efficient. The ladies toilets had a damp smell. Overall I was disappointed and would not visit again.

The ambiance is beautiful, and it's a place I enjoy whether I'm dining with a group or coming in by myself. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are consistently great. Ossobuco truly never disappoints.

Sunny's was fantastic... right up until the very strange grand finale…read more The food was outstanding. The beef carpaccio was quite possibly the best I've ever had. The wedge salad was phenomenal -- honestly, a dish on its own. The sausage was good, but nothing I'd lose sleep over. The steaks, however, were perfect: beautifully cooked, incredibly flavorful, and exactly what you want from a great steakhouse. Then came the strawberry shortcake -- WOW. Easily one of the highlights of the night. Service was also top-notch throughout the meal. And then... the "kitchen tour." What a clever little production. We were enthusiastically sold this "special moment" of seeing the kitchen, only to eventually realize that the magical journey had one very practical purpose: they wanted our table back. And voilà! Before you know it, you've been politely bamboozled out of your table and strategically relocated near the front door. Bravo! Sunny's, we're adults. Just say, "Guys, we need the table -- would you mind continuing at the bar?" DONE. No hard feelings. We understand how restaurants work. There's really no need for the customized kitchen-tour charade just to get us out of our seats. It was awkward and honestly a little embarrassing, and it left a surprisingly bad taste after what had been such an excellent experience. Do better with this, Sunny's. The restaurant, food, and service are too good to end the evening with something that feels so unnecessary and disingenuous. Will we come back? Absolutely. The food was that good.

When my wife surprised me for my birthday with a visit to a Michelin star restaurant, I already…read moreknew the experience was going to be special. I must admit, however, that I was a bit, unsure about what could possibly make a Korean barbecue restaurant worthy of a Michelin star. After leaving there, I found myself questioning why it only received one star. The meal was in a word perfect. Now I have seen a few reviews that mentioned some issues. I can confidently say that since the time those reviews were written, any of the problems mentioned have been addressed because there was nothing about my dinner experience there that could have been improved upon. Food, quality, presentation, service, and even the vibe of the restaurant contributed to the excellence that permitted the entire evening. No, I would say that this is a far cry from the Korean barbecue restaurant that you would bring your family to but strangely enough there were a number of families here, including small children. And everybody seemed happy. Wanting the ultimate experience we ordered the Omakase. Omakase is something that I have always associated with just sushi so seeing a meat Omakase was pretty excited. And it exceeded any expectations I might've had. Unlike the standard Korean barbecue restaurants, the cooks come over and make sure that every piece of meat is perfectly prepared. I don't know if it was because of my birthday or if it is always part of the Omakase, but they began the service with delicious top shelf, champagne. This was followed by an amouse bouche a fresh golden Uni on top of a Washington state oyster. The oyster was a perfect balance of briney and sweet, in combined well with the rather nuanced taste of the uni. Little did, I know that the perfection of this small bite would be carried on through every part of the meal. A cup of bone broth was brought out to drink. Some upscale Korean restaurants I have eaten at in the past serve bone broth, but it's not something that I had seen locally and I really do enjoy it. The first meat dish we were served was called steak and eggs. This was a unique creation of filet mignon tarte and caviar. The caviar added wonderful texture and a bit of saltiness that made the dish outstanding. This was followed by ample portions of filet mignon, skirt, steak, ribeye, ribeye, Again, I would note that the staff cooked each piece perfectly before placing it on our plates. Next came mushroom and skirt steak. Seasoned with salt it was quite enjoyable. So was the 45 day dry age Ribeye and 45 day dry age Rib eye cap. The Rice cake that followed was tasty, but I must admit was not in the same way as any of the other ingredients. Then came the over the top, premium meats, the American wagyu, Japanese wagyu, and LA galbi American A5 wagyu. An unexpected taste treat was the Japanese A5 in ginchi broth with noodles. Sides included Dehydrated chinrse lettuce stem Okra Kimchi cabbage, Scallion onion salad Egg soufflé After this male okra could become my new favorite vegetable; all of the kimchi varieties were superb, and the egg soufflé was delightful, although filling. I must admit it was too good not to overindulge. I probably would not have ordered dessert because I was so full, but they gave me a birthday dessert as well as some fresh fruit, which was a perfect finish to a perfect meal. Love this place and I do know there are some far less expensive options than the omakase so I do plan to be back. Highly recommended as among Miami's finest.

From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable--attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. You can immediately tell this is a place that takes hospitality seriously. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was beautifully presented and delicately seasoned--light, flavorful, and the perfect way to begin the meal. The wedge salad followed, crisp and refreshing with just the right balance of richness and acidity. For the mains, the experience really elevated. I had the tomahawk steak, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the better steaks I've had in Miami. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, and this dish deserves special mention: it wasn't just ravioli with a hint of lobster--it actually featured generous, large pieces of lobster, which made it feel both indulgent and well worth ordering. The ambiance strikes a great balance between upscale and lively, making it ideal for both a special occasion or an elevated night out in Brickell. Now, to be clear--prices are definitely on the higher side. But in this case, you truly get what you pay for. Between the quality of the food, the execution, and the level of service, it feels justified. Service was warm and friendly overall but not always as attentive. Small lapses stood out (most notably, red wine being poured into my champagne glass) but those things happen and were apologized. Food-wise, everything we ordered was good but some dishes felt overpriced for what they were. The beef carpaccio,l was overwhelmed by oil which dulled the delicacy of the meat. The wedge salad was similarly heavy-handed: fully tossed and drenched in dressing losing the crisp that makes a wedge shine. That said, the filet mignon was excellent: well-cooked, properly seasoned, and easily the standout of the meal. It was the dish that felt most worth its price. Overall, Miami's Dirty French is a great choice for a sexy steakhouse night out with a lively atmosphere and solid food.

The ambiance 10/10 it's a beautiful restaurant and it just had a great vibe. When we sat down it was a table in a private room, which we loved. Up to this point everything was wonderful. We all did the Miami Spice menu, which is very good for the price. Then about another 45 minutes later our food finally got to the table. Everyone's steak was rare, I ordered my filet Minon medium well and first it came rare and I asked the waiter to please take it back to cook it more, there must've been a problem in the kitchen because when I received my steak, i was not cooked medium well at all. Even the waiter came over to me and asked if I needed it cooked better. At this point I wasn't even hungry anymore. Food was good but I am convinced that there was a major problem in the kitchen. The hostess and waiter gave us Prosecco on the house and an appetizer. It literally took us three hours to have dinner here. Let me say again. I'm sure there was a problem somewhere in the kitchen or something because nine people cannot ask for steak, , medium well and all of them were rare maybe they had a gas problem. All this being said I will give it another try ,the appetizers were amazing. The drinks were great. I'll give the food another try. You guys give it a try and tell me what you think.

Some of the food we were served appeared to be undercooked, and afterward, multiple people in my party, including myself, experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning. This was very concerning and definitely not the experience we expected from a restaurant of this caliber. I called the restaurant afterward and spoke with a manager named Adam to explain what happened. His response was that he "can't do anything for me." I found that extremely unfortunate and disappointing. When guests are reporting becoming sick after dining at your establishment, I would expect the situation to at least be taken seriously and handled with care and concern. We spent a significant amount of money celebrating a special occasion here, and the combination of the food quality, several members of our party becoming ill afterward, and the way my concerns were handled left a very negative impression. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into what happened so another group does not have the same experience.
