The war on Christmas has begun! On a cold Monday morning, I was craving a bean and cheese burrito. I decided to stop by Mi Ranchito, since I usually have enjoyed their quick options for fast Mexican food. I pulled up into the drive thru, and was surprised to find that they were selling champurado and tamales, written on a sign as if it was a yard sale. Oh man, Christmas has come early! I was greeted with a "how can I help you." Oh baby, I was ready to be helped. Before I placed my order I had to ask, "is the champurado any good?" to avoid any concerns about going to antelope valley hospital this afternoon. The friendly attendant said, "yeah I am drinking some right now." This was it! I going to add a champurado to my order. I proceeded to add a bean and cheese burrito, a cheese tamale, and a chicken tamale. 15 minutes later, I am back home ready to open my early Christmas presents to find out that I have been given coal. I open the bean and cheese burrito, and disappointed to find that there was table spoon of bean and cheese and a whole ass tortilla. Secondly, they made a mistake on my order, they had given me 2 chicken tamales instead of 1. Disappointed to have not tried the cheese. The tamales tasted good and I prayed for more bean and cheese in my burrito. However, Overall it was alright. To my home girl that recommended the champurado, this is bomb. That's why we handed him the $21 Horrible Customer Service, I think they're racist because I'm an Afro Latino at the drive-through with my Afo Latinos son and the racist pig,The young man with the glasses double charged us tonight at the drive-through about 20 minutes ago. He also took a $21 dollars to make the amount that went on the card lower and he kept the change and refused to give us the all change back and gave us the managers phone number and never reimbursed us are $21 and gave us nine dollars back from the $21 which we should've got the whole $21 because the whole amount went to the card. this place stole money from the drive-through. The food is good. What you'd expect. I ordered the abondigas soup for a healthy alternative with veggies inside. Daughter had the caldo de res and again good flavor and healthy. I'm giving 2 stars because when my significant other and I went the first few times it was good. But now it feels like they intentionally leave out ingredients that we ask for or that are apart of the menu items. I typically get mini burritos with crema but everytime I order they never put crema. They repeat the order back to me exactly as I order but when I get the food there is ALWAYS something wrong or missing. My boyfriend ordered a burrito supreme, which comes with crema and guac. Pretty solid tacos! I went for the first time this past weekend and got the 3 taco combo. It was $7.25 for 3 soft shell tacos with rice and beans. I had carne asada and pastor and both were great! Horrible customer service, I spent $18 dollars on Menudo with extra tripe and and no bone, I got home after they confirmed with me regarding no bone and there were two large bones in the soup and a chunk of gristle, with little tripe - not worth $18 for sure. When I called, the staff pretty much said, oh that's too bad, you can bring it back. I was not able to go out again to the restaurant due to the heat. There was no compensation and no professionalism. I guess I won't even eat the broth for dinner since they want me to bring it all back tomorrow. Worst ranchito. Walked in after an hour they opened, workers were all giggling till they saw me. Instead of greeting me they just stared at me awkwardly as though why am I there. Looked at the food they had out and everything looked dry, beans were dried on the top, the rice looked over cooked and dry, the meats looked like they had sat over night cause they still had oil sitting on top. Nothing looked fresh even though they already had opened. It's a small place with less traffic so I guess they figure they don't have to be ready for any customers early in the morning. Seems like most of the bad reviews are for poor service or incorrect orders--both of which are very annoying. I've only been through the drive thru here and it's only my second time trying a Mi Ranchito location. Seemed like I should give them a try given that they're popping up all around the AV. My experience both with the drive thru and service was good. The food was actually really good. Tried the Al pastor tostada--meat was very good, & not dry, carnitas hard shell tacos--excellent. and 2 different chorizo breakfast burritos--burrito alegre-chorizo, eggs, hash browns, Jack cheese and regular breakfast burrito-chorizo, rice, beans, eggs, cheese (opted out of the raw onion & cilantro--not a fan). Chorizo was very tasty and not greasy at all. Both burritos were excellent in their own ways. Would definitely return just for the chorizo breakfast burritos. Green salsa is very flavorful. Red salsa is a bit spicy for me, but my son loved it. read more

I have been at their other location and it was okay, but they opened this new location close to my apartment and it has a drive thru I had to try it. I love the place much better than the other location, the staff is alway friendly, and a good selection of dishes. I now go there at least once or twice a week. My usual order is the vegetarian burrito and a side order of chicken taquitos I get both with everything excellent! I'm slowly working my way thru their menu trying different items and have enjoyed everything I've tried. I love Pico de Gallo and their is fresh and delicious. read more

I will give the food and staff 5 stars, BUT if the manager/owner doesn't do something about the infestation of flies then we will not be back!!!!!!
