Wow this place is a hidden gem! The food was excellent. The best Mexican food we have had in Austin so far. We will definitely be back!

As for the food, I give it a three. Large food portions, but lacked what we consider authentic Mexican. We came on an extremely busy Sunday brunch. There is limited indoor seating space. They have plenty of outdoor picnic style wooden tables. They can definitely accommodate for groups of all sizes. My café de olla was sweet. I enjoyed my mango n chamoy paleta. We will have to come back to try their lunch menu.

A great local Austin restaurant! I've had breakfast tacos, menudo, tamales and many agua frescas. My absolute favorite item from this location is their Horchata Latte iced! A greatly crafted drink! You order up at the counter and are given a number to put at the edge of your table for your food delivery. I love the salsa bar and love the music they play. I take visitors here when they come to Austin. It's absolutely one of my favorite places to dine in ATX!

Mi Ranchito reopened down the street from its original location. We were able to visit for breakfast on a Sunday. Even though it was crowded, we were able to find a spot inside. They also have tables outside too. You order in line and then find a table. I ordered the migas super style, meaning it's served with queso instead of shredded cheese. It was SO good! I enjoyed everything from the cheesy eggs to the beans to the homestyle potato's. We'll definitely be back!

New location for Mi Ranchito and they did an amazing job!! The location has so much parking and such a beautiful setup of tables outside. The food is just as good as always! The trees provide nice shade for this time of year. Service was impeccable! Come give them a try and stay a while. You won't be disappointed.

This is a beautiful place and the service is quality. The people who put this place together - job well done. Walking in - just know this is counter service. Sometimes a benefit and then sometimes if you want to order more and have to wait in line again - sometimes not. The food is beautifully presented! Goes with the ambiance. I don't know if my tastebuds were off that day because even both the Agua Frescas we tried seemed not simply fresca but more sugary than I expected. For the price point I do personally feel maybe for my tastebuds there could be a little deeper depth of flavor. Maybe if we happen to be Menchaca-ing again we can try some other dishes.

If you're looking for delicious and true Mexican meals this is by far my favorite place to go! Trying to find authentic ANNND delicious Mexican dishes can be hard in Austin but this restaurant is perfect! Theres a bit of a wait when I went on a Saturday morning so I suggest going early but the food is soo worth it, there is also a free water station which is so refreshing considering Austin is getting hot during these summer days even in the morning. My husband got a couple regular egg breakfast tacos and my friend got the enchilada plate and it was all so good! The inside of the restaurant is small but very cute, the decor is nice and the salsa station is equipped with yummy sauces the green avocado one is definitely a must try! Make sure to try the strawberry horchata as well it's a 100/10 definitely good after being disappointed so many times expecting good horchata from restaurants and it being a powder kind this is not that at all, so refreshing and tasty

I am re-reviewing because Mi Ranchito moved down the street to a beautiful building with inside and outdoor seating!! Highly recommend you visit their new location. They are no longer at the old "orange wall" location. The food is still incredible! The tamales fresh! And the salsas are delicious! I haven't found one thing I hate from this place. The staff is the same and always very nice and gets your to-go order right every time! Highly recommend.

Really enjoyable and tasty meal from their new and beautiful location. Large portions at an affordable price. Nachos-chips were thick but help up without getting soggy. Fajita chicken was absolutely delicious Beef ranchero enchiladas-delicious meet and sauce Bunelos-a massive crispy dessert like a sopapia just not puffed up When I picked up the order the staff was very friendly Make sure to try all the self serve sauces as well

Beautiful little restaurant with lots of flavor to back it up. I had two migas tacos, one avocado and one chorizo. They were super filling and the salsa bar let me customize them further. I also ordered a watermelon aguas fresca that really hit the spot. It was huge making it an excellent value for what I paid. The staff were very kind and quick in preparing my order. Can't wait to visit again.

Once you're inside, though, the whole operation runs with impressive efficiency. You order at the register, take your receipt, and hand it off to one of the taco guys behind the counter. As the sign says, "No Ticket, No Taco!" so don't lose it. Seating is limited and the line can get long, but they move fast. And don't come expecting cheese or sour cream -- the only add‑ons here are cilantro, onions, salsa, and guacamole. It's a stripped‑down menu, and they stick to it. The tacos are solid. The beef isn't anything remarkable, but the chicken is tender, moist, and genuinely flavorful. The quesadilla is the sleeper hit; the baked cheese gives it a deep, savory punch that outshines the tacos. And if you're hungry or just want the best value, the burritos are enormous -- stuffed right up to the tortilla's structural limit. The onions and cilantro greatly balance each bite, while the salsa and guacamole are necessary and fundamental to tying the flavors together.. Somehow I'd never been despite living so close, so I was excited to finally check it off my list. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and their famous foyer is just as pretty in person as everyone says. I came with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar first while waiting, but I definitely recommend making reservations because this place is BUSY, even on a weeknight. Parking can also be a bit of a struggle since they have a pretty small lot. I had to make a few laps before I finally found a spot, so definitely give yourself a little extra time. They do offer valet, and I believe you may also be able to park in the lot next door after hours since it's their sister restaurant, but don't quote me on that haha. Their margaritas are also really good and definitely on the stronger side, so they were a great way to start the meal. The staff here was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. They even walked us to our table and later showed me where the bathroom was, which I thought was a really nice touch. As for the food, it definitely lives up to the hype. It's on the pricier side, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and was well worth it. We ordered the enchiladas, which were delicious, and the shrimp was probably my favorite part of the meal because it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I can definitely see why this restaurant has been around for so long and has such a loyal following. It took me way too long to finally come here, but I'll definitely be back. One thing I'm noticing as we do these is that you often write reviews that are genuinely useful--not just "food good/bad." You include things like reservations, parking, what to order, or where to sit. I think we should keep leaning into that because it feels very authentic to your style and makes your reviews stand out.
