As for the food, I give it a three. Large food portions, but lacked what we consider authentic Mexican. We came on an extremely busy Sunday brunch. There is limited indoor seating space. They have plenty of outdoor picnic style wooden tables. They can definitely accommodate for groups of all sizes. My café de olla was sweet. I enjoyed my mango n chamoy paleta. We will have to come back to try their lunch menu.

Mi Ranchito reopened down the street from its original location. We were able to visit for breakfast on a Sunday. Even though it was crowded, we were able to find a spot inside. They also have tables outside too. You order in line and then find a table. I ordered the migas super style, meaning it's served with queso instead of shredded cheese. It was SO good! I enjoyed everything from the cheesy eggs to the beans to the homestyle potato's. We'll definitely be back!

New location for Mi Ranchito and they did an amazing job!! The location has so much parking and such a beautiful setup of tables outside. The food is just as good as always! The trees provide nice shade for this time of year. Service was impeccable! Come give them a try and stay a while. You won't be disappointed.

This is a beautiful place and the service is quality. The people who put this place together - job well done. Walking in - just know this is counter service. Sometimes a benefit and then sometimes if you want to order more and have to wait in line again - sometimes not. The food is beautifully presented! Goes with the ambiance. I don't know if my tastebuds were off that day because even both the Agua Frescas we tried seemed not simply fresca but more sugary than I expected. For the price point I do personally feel maybe for my tastebuds there could be a little deeper depth of flavor. Maybe if we happen to be Menchaca-ing again we can try some other dishes.

I am re-reviewing because Mi Ranchito moved down the street to a beautiful building with inside and outdoor seating!! Highly recommend you visit their new location. They are no longer at the old "orange wall" location. The food is still incredible! The tamales fresh! And the salsas are delicious! I haven't found one thing I hate from this place. The staff is the same and always very nice and gets your to-go order right every time! Highly recommend.

Really enjoyable and tasty meal from their new and beautiful location. Large portions at an affordable price. Nachos-chips were thick but help up without getting soggy. Fajita chicken was absolutely delicious Beef ranchero enchiladas-delicious meet and sauce Bunelos-a massive crispy dessert like a sopapia just not puffed up When I picked up the order the staff was very friendly Make sure to try all the self serve sauces as well

This place makes my favorite Mexican food in Austin!! Top tier breakfast tacos, enchiladas and tortilla soup. I pick up breakfast tacos at least one a week. Recently tried their tortilla soup and licked the bowl clean. Their chicken mole or spicy guajillo enchiladas are my favorite. The tamales are also great. I love the bean and cheese and jalapeño and cheese. They offer strawberry and sweet potato tamales as well. They have a sauce bar with many options on the spice scale and pickled jalapeños and onions. Their spicy avocado sauce is my favorite and pretty spicy. Their coffee is also very good! The vanilla latte is a little on the sweeter side but so so good. The staff is always so kind. You order at the front counter and they bring the food out to you. Their new building is very nice, clean, comfortable and welcoming. So much seating outside and a good amount inside. Lots of parking in the back. Could not recommend this place more!

Beautiful little restaurant with lots of flavor to back it up. I had two migas tacos, one avocado and one chorizo. They were super filling and the salsa bar let me customize them further. I also ordered a watermelon aguas fresca that really hit the spot. It was huge making it an excellent value for what I paid. The staff were very kind and quick in preparing my order. Can't wait to visit again.

Hubby was asked to take a trip over there by a friend to pick up some pork tamales and their salsa that you pay extra for. He got a dozen for us and they were flavorful, fresh and piping hot. Hubby loved the salsa that they make there as well. Service done well and provide good quality food. I know they very recently moved to a new location in a white house that they built and believe the new address is 1105 FM 1626, Menchaca, TX.

I came to do a funeral at onion creek memorial, decided to stop at this place. It did not disappoint, from the aurora and lots to choose from the menu. We tried the chicken tamale and the masa and meat ratio was 50/50 so good and flavorful. We also had the Asada taco with corn tortillas. The taco was filled with meat and the corn tortilla was homemade. Let me tell you about the salsa bar!!! Want spicy? Get the avocado salsa soooo good.

Mi Ranchito continues to be my go-to restaurant for menudo after a night of celebrating. It's the same (perfect) every time. It's $16 but can feed two, or you can have leftovers. Outdoor seating is nice too if the weather permits. They have a small staff that is always hustling too, so that's appreciated.

Mi Ranchito was delicious! We ordered the huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and horchata lattes -- everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. They also had a great selection of salsas, which really elevated the meal. The horchata latte was the standout for me -- super creamy, rich, and just sweet enough. I seriously regretted not ordering the 32 oz! The staff were very welcoming and kind, and the indoor space felt incredibly cozy. There's plenty of seating inside and a good number of tables outside as well -- perfect for nice weather. Parking was easy, with a main lot behind the building and a few spots in front. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially for brunch or a casual weekend breakfast!

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

I have not found a taco place that was phenomenal until I tried this place! The vibes take you back to Mexico with authentic tacos served simple, straight forward, and let the taco speak for itself! We were downtown for a concert at the Moody Theater and were hungry so we decided to walk a short 9 mins to Taqueria De Diez! The best decision made! Full disclosure... the establishment is located down a very DARK creepy alley (the kind in the movies where you shouldn't go down to get) but after overcoming that fear... this will be the best decision you make! Your tummy will thank you! Follow the outside "TACO here" sign. Go through the door and walk straight... this will get you through the line. Lucky for us on a Saturday night at 10:30pm there wasn't a super long line. We managed to grab two seats to chow down our tacos. You will be able to see the chefs cook the carne asada on the grill and the Al pastor on the spit roast being cut to be put in tacos. The smell was amazing and you know you're at a legit place! Ordering: -Check out their menu while waiting in line so you know what to order when it's your turn. -place order at register. They accept visa, Mastercard, Venmo, cash, but does NOT accept AMEX. - grab your drinks if you purchased some. Mexica soda, horchata, jimicama drinks, water , etc - give your ticket to the expeditor and tell them to go or dine there. The expeditor will ask you cilantro, onions, and salsa on a taco? Say yes. It's a must. The expeditor will tell the chefs to assemble your tacos. (I'm seriously so impress with how efficient and quick their service goes. We waited maybe 5-10 mins and got 5 tacos and chips/salsa. There was about 8 ppl in front of us but the lines go quick. If you ordered chips and salsa then you will get the chips from the cashier and the salsa from the expeditor. * 1 Al pastor taco on flour 4/5: love the fresh pineapples on it! The Al pastor had crispy pieces and was super tasty! It was really tasty. There were pieces of meat that was dry but the salsa helped and pineapple. Season was really good! I was in awed with how tasty it is! Definitely best Al pastor in ATXi had! * 1 Campechano on flour 5/5: wow best of both worlds! I had this taco second and loved the combo flavor! Juiciness of the carne asada and crispy frol the Al pastor. * carne asada on flour 5/5: juicy perfectly seasoned and love the green sauce on it! Sauce was creamy and paired well with the taco. It was so so freaking good! The flour tortilla is super thin and let the meats stand out. Loaded Smokey taco and was differently the best carne asada I've ever had! After trying the carne asada I definitely think it's better than Al pastor! I'm glad I tried the Al pastor taco first before the carne because I think the carne asada would have outshine the Al pastor if I had it first. It was a great end to the last taco! * 1 VOLCAN- couldn't try because it was sold out * chips and salsa 4/5: chips crispy and not oily. Salsa was super spicy but good. All tacos come with onions cilantro and salsa with no additional cost. Overall do I recommend this place? I truly wish I tried this place 5 yrs ago when I moved to ATX! I truly highly recommend this place! Do not wait 5 yrs to go try this place or you will be full of regrets! It's a simple taco but made right with complex balance and flavors! I love love love it and now will be thinking about these tacos! Highly recommended! Prices are reasonable and the tacos are made with love!

We all ordered drinks and asked for water at this point. The water was brought, but we waited and waited for our drinks.
