Great food and service 4 for dinner tonight. Everyone enjoyed the food and ordered something different. Drinks are great we had no complaints. read more

I used to live here come to this place all the time. I stopped here on the trip this time and the food is excellent. And for the record I love the vinaigrette sauce they put on the tacos to me its first rate! The food is always been excellent! I had excellent service to when I was here. To get an idea of how good the food is look at my pictures here on Yelp read more

My favorite Mexican food in all the land! Their quality never changes, it's always SO GOOD! They are very friendly and accommodating with substitutions in your meal. My favorite is the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. read more

Love the restaurant in Orem, so we tried the the American Fork one. On a Friday night, enjoyed food and experience. On a Saturday afternoon, food and experience was horrible. I'm not going back. I'll drive to Orem from now on. read more

On their online menu, it clearly states, one substitution allowed on the combination. I ordered o the phone. Never was an additional $3.50 mentioned to exchange an item. Had a battle at the store, because they wanted to charge me the extra. Very poor customer service. Love the food! but customer service needs to get better!!! read more

We used to love this restaurant for years but after being sick for three days with rampant diarrhea and vomiting, we won't go back. We gave it a third chance after poor service on two other occasions. Beware read more

Our favorite local Mexican restaurant! Lots of options, and their mole is incredible!

Food is not good. Chips definitely taste store-bought. Salsa is not good. We had eaten here in the past and it was decent. Seems like it has gone downhill. No idea why they are so packed all the time. read more

Delicious food and great service! They are always fast and the food is sooo good! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food and fantastic service! I ordered the giant quesadilla with al pastor meat. A little while later they came out and extremely apologetically told me that they were out of al pastor meat and suggested carne asada instead. I said, sure no problem. Our meals came moments later and our server told us that he was going to bring us a desert on the house. I told him that it wasn't necessary and there was no problem. He went ahead and brought us a fried ice cream that was honestly probably the best I've ever had. The quesadilla was amazing also! We will definitely be returning!! read more

The American Fork restaurant is the worst of the chain BY FAR. The food is okay. The ambiance is fine. The portions are the smallest, and the service is terrible. The food is occasionally cold and not up to same standard as the Orem location. read more

Ordered through Grubhub. Order came earlier than expected but was completely wrong, everything needed to reheated because it was already cold. Very disappointing.... read more

We were greeted with a warm welcome by employees in nice yellow Mi Ranchito dress shirts. Nice. We were immediately served the traditional chips and salsa. The kids with us even like the salsa. It was just the right amount of spicy for us. We order a full order of guacamole and they brought it out right away. It was nice and cold and so flavorful. Good enough to eat all by itself. They have kids menu items. The happy face fries were a big hit. The tacos were crispy and delicious. We even ordered fried ice cream. It was served with extra spoons, good call. We devoured it. The service was spot on. The place was clean and orderly. We will go back. read more

The server was nice. It was downhill from there. In fairness our companions seemed to like their combo plates just fine. The salsa was just ok. My Carne Asada was the worst I've had anywhere. Tough, gristly, and not any flavor. My wife's chimichanga was mostly rice with a couple of small spoons of ground beef. The restroom situation was ridiculous. It wasn't that busy but it's a big place and there is a one person restroom for each gender. There was a pretty long line that seemed to take forever with people always having to be told there is a line as they tried to get in the restroom! We won't go back. read more

This is some of the most pathetic Mexican food I have ever eaten. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Just moved to the area from San Diego and even by Utah Mexican Food standards, this place is terrible. No flavor, just some slop containing unseasoned shredded chicken and liquid beans with a bag of store bought chips. read more

This WAS a family favorite. Hadn't been for a couple of years; decided to return. We ordered a chicken enchilada meal, big burrito meal, a second burrito meal and taquitos. PROS - seated quickly, table was clean, tasty chips and salsa with free refills, CONS - waitress was rather impersonal and not especially helpful with menu items, slow service, when food did arrive one of the burrito meals and the taquitos were cold, refried beans were runny. Returned the cold meals and asked that they be warmed. From the looks of it, the plates we're set under a broiler for a couple of more minutes and then return to us. Taquitos now on the well-done side, burrito still cold. read more

Dining options in Utah County are limited on Sundays. (There are so many limits in Utah county, but that is beside the point.) Today I wanted good Mexican food, and I didn't want to have to drive up to Salt Lake. I ended up driving North along State Street past all the closed restaurants until reaching Mi Ranchito in AF. It'd been awhile since I'd last dined here, and the last time was okay. This time was great. Service was friendly, and attentive but not annoying. 3 Mole enchiladas, and a couple of Modelo Negras and I was one happy diner. I love mole, and I was pleased with their sauce. (It wasn't Red Iguana, but nothing can compare to Red Iguana's moles.) Next time you are hungry on the Sabbath, skip the chain restaurants. Give this place a shot. The menu was enticing enough, that I'll be back to try more. read more

I've been to the Salt Lake location and thought it was decent, so it's nice to see that they have other joints in Utah County as well. This place was pretty busy for a Sunday night, so I took that as a good sign. We were seated in a booth that had high wooden walls, but they were a bit noisy when kids and other patrons would bang against them. Other than that, the decor was Mexican themed and colorful which suited this place. Our server was nice and our drinks and food were brought out promptly. My Michelada was delicious and satisfied my craving for this deliciously spiced up beer. I also liked the complimentary chips and salsa because it had a nice spiciness. So as you can probably tell from what I've mentioned thus far,I'm a fan of heat. For my entree, I went with an order of the Camarones a la diabla which was advertised as being very hot. Unfortunately, the shrimp were hugely lacking in any kind of spice which was slightly disappointing, but the sauce did taste pretty good in a buttery way. read more

I've only been here for lunches with coworkers. There is a pretty good collection of casual dining Mexican restaurants along the Wasatch front. They are Mexican in the same way all the Italian places are not really Italian. It's American comfort food at its best. They are all pretty much interchangeable. That said, this one is better than many. The food is consistent, tasty, and they have good beer. I'm never disappointed when this place gets suggested. read more

Ate here for the second time (reluctantly) with some coworkers who thought it was Rancheritos. It wasn't. Water served that tasted like soap. Chips were the little broken bits from a bag of generic, store-bought variety and the salsa was runny, bland and seemed like it also came right out of the jar. Not authentic Mexican food and not a good start to the meal. Honestly, the Machaca with eggs was quite tasty and filling, but my stomach was alerting me to the beginnings of a tough night by the time I got back to the office. By the afternoon of the next day I was beginning to feel semi-normal again. That was the only thing I ate that day and it will be the last time I ever go there again. read more

So here ya go: Go for these reasons: 1. Best Mexican Fried Ice Cream in the WOLRD 2. Bistec en Rajitas is AMAZING 3. The salsa is homemade every day and is very very good. Things they could improve: 1. Loud restaurant because it is an old building 2. Odd restrooms that are not cleaned as often as they should be. 3. You can see into the kitchen if you look carefully and it is a little dirtier than I would like it to be. Not a great place for atmosphere. Building is old and tired. But, if you want good food.....this place has it. read more

Best Mexican food I have ever had. Better yet, best restaurant in Utah I've been to. I ordered the grilled cheese quesadilla with veggies, and it was honestly the best quesadilla I've ever had. The veggies were grilled to perfection and were seasoned with so much flavor you wouldn't believe. I could've just eaten those veggies without the quesadilla. Everything tasted fresh like it had just been made, including the salsa. The salsa had a good spice to it. Not too little, not too much. The owner is the kindest man as well! He seemed so grateful just to have us there. 10/10 for food and 10/10 for service. Everything I ate there was delicious, down to just the rice. You're also given VERY generous portions. Very well worth the money. I don't eat out often, but when I do, this is my first choice, as it should be yours too! Thanks for the great meal! My husband and I will never stop raving about how much we love this place. read more

We have been coming to Mi Ranchito lfor a number of years now. This is what Mexican food should taste like. It is hot and delicious. We always ask for Victor. He is so friendly and welcoming. He is prompt with the food (thanks to the kitchen) and checks back often with us. We always ask specifically for him because we know our eating experience will be great. Our hope is that this great restaurant will be around for a long time. read more

I have been here more the a hundred times throughout my life and in the last ten or so years it's realy hit or miss! The hard beef tacos are a must! There is just somthing about them! I usually get the guadalajara meal because I want it for more then one meal! And it's at least two. But with quantity there is a sacrifice to quality! And that is the problem. I have tryed most of the buritos and thay are so so, the fajitas (except any with sea food) are good. The chilli reano is hit or miss. After eating here as many times as I have every thing tasts just the same there is no difference between the enchilada and the smotherd burrito. So it's up to you not my first pic but better then others. read more

As with some of the other reviews, the service sucked. Where it not for the 2 or 3 previous visits, I would not be able to speak of the food because after 4 min wait (no the were not busy at all) to be seated, we then waited for 8-10 min for waters and a hello... waiters passed by, even a bus-boy... to no avail. Will not be returning. Hope they fail, and are bought-out by someone who keeps the menu the same and fires anyone who ever drew a paycheck from the current regime. Food is good, but the funky smells and soft service ruined me for good. read more

Seriously good eats ! You get what you pay for which is my favorite perk from any restaurant. It was delicious !! Didn't take long but wasn't super fast, but that's OK since this isn't a fast food joint. We love ordering a la carte because of the great options ! All I can say is you gotta try it before you knock it off your list ! :) read more

This place may not look like much just from driving by but once you step inside you instantly feel a homey Mexican restaurant setting. When I say that this food is the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life I am not exaggerating, from the giant portions they give you( I am a large guy and I can't even finish half my plate with how much they give you) which is an amazing bang for your buck definitely worth up to 20$ for only 13-15. To the amazing home made salsa that in complimentary to every person dining in! This is honestly my favorite restaurant in Utah county even better than some very high class restaurants up in salt lake. Whenever my wife and I come here it is always our first choice when going out to eat we don't even talk about anything other than how good the food is and don't realize until we leave! The staff is wonderful to talk to and the owner viktor is the nicest man on the planet. He seems just so happy that you're even dining in let alone paying for food! I would recommend this place to anyone who is craving amazing Mexican food and even if you aren't craving Mexican food come down here and once you park and smell the food all the way from the parking lot you will be hooked. If you're even thinking of doing carry out or delivery take the time to make the drive to eat here in person you will not regret it. This place is my all time favorite place to eat I have ever been highly highly highly recommend read more

Basic Mexican food. Not much flavor with the refried beans, cheese enchiladas, chips, salsa and rice. I liked the shredded beef taco. Our server was good. read more

It's easy to dismiss Mi Ranchito as an average, typical Mexican restaurant, much like dozens of others along the Wasatch front. But no matter how correct that assessment may be, I enjoy coming back here again and again. The menu offers hundreds of choices (or so it seems), the service is quick, the portions are generous and the price is very affordable. I really enjoy their complimentary house salsa--it's thin and chunky. I often pour a whole bowl of it on my entree. If you're in the mood for some Mexican grub, you could do far worse than come here. read more

Always a best experience. It's been my favorite mexican restaurant for years. They are open on Sundays and serve beer and mixed drinks. Not too many places in Utah County you can have that kind of full service. I enjoy the burritos smothered in cheese or the chicken tacos. I think the prices are fair too. They can accommodate very large groups!!! read more

I had eaten at the Mi Ranchito in Orem and was so pleased! I'm from Texas and know good Mexican food . So, I was thrilled to know that there was a Mi Ranchito (same family owned) nearby in American Fork. I took my large family there, bragging to them on how good the food was at the sister restaurant in Orem. Boy, was I disappointed and embarrassed. The food at the Mi Ranchito in American Fork did not compare at all to the one in Orem. It was awful. I wish they would have the cooks from the Orem restaurant come work with the cooks at the American Fork restaurant. It would help them greatly! Today when I ate at the Orem restaurant, another customer voiced my opinion as well. I will never go back to this restaurant in American Fork even though the service people were nice. So disappointed! read more

Disappointed by the carne asada but pleased by the camarones a la diabla the day after as leftovers. Being open on Sunday in Utah county and an urge for some rice and refried beans led us here. And if alcohol is your thing, try their michelada...it was the highlight of the night in my opinion...well, at least this lush's night. read more

The margaritas are excellent and the food is for the most part well prepared and flavorful. The beef was a bit on the dry side for my taste in the enchiladas however the accompanying tacos were delicious. Make sure you bring an appetite as the portions are very large. The staff was very friendly and attentive. read more

Has to be the definition of mediocre. I got the chicken burrito, the chicken was literally just boiled chicken. No flavor whatsoever. The tortillas all taste kind of sweet but none of the sauce have enough spice to offset it. My wife got the smothered bean and cheese burrito and it had no flavor either. Rice was OK, beans were OK. Way overpriced for the quality of the food you get. Save your money. read more

This is by far one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! I crave it almost daily. For an appetizer I recommend the guacamole and chips! And I can't remember what the desert is we usually get but they are big deep fried puff balls that you dip so amazing. And anything you order for your main dish will be amazing.
