    Chicken flautas
    Amy M.

Was craving Mexican tonight as we haven't had it in a while and a margarita also sounded really good. We were seated promptly upon entering.and within 2-3 minutes of being seated we were delivered chips salsa and the fresh guacamole gal also arrived. We decided on a half bowl of guacamole and watched her make it in front of us. Our server stopped by and we ordered waters and two margaritas. 25 minute after being seated we still had no waters or napkins/silverware!. My daughter mistakenly got a jalapeño in her guacamole and because we had no napkins or water she had no choice but to spit it out into the tortilla bowl. The chips and salsa didn't taste fresh. We finally receive our waters and margaritas about 35 min after being seated. We had ordered our margaritas on the rocks, no salt. They were delivered with salt. Oye! This place is so incredibly loud inside. I was ready to go before our dinner was served. Our dinners finally arrived and we couldn't fill up our bellies fast enough. We again asked for silverware. Our server Jaime never came to check on us. My husband flagged him down for a water refill, boxes and our check so we could get out of there. None of us finished our food as it was just way too loud for our liking. Food was decent but not incredible. I had the chicken flautas and they were plain just chicken no cheese and in flour tortillas. I did enjoy the side of beans. My husband had the Combination Guadalajara which was a beef tostada, a beef enchilada, a beef taco and a chile verde burrito . As far as food goes it tasted pretty authentic. Service was subpar and the noise horrific. Not sure if I would give this place a second chance.

This place was very good! I love that the food is super authentic and yummy! I also think the price is good here! I got the chicken enchiladas and they were very good! It came with rice and beans and I really enjoyed that! The service was good and the restaurant was really nice too! I loved that they give us chips and salsa too!

We've been to Mi Ranchito a handful of times now. Today, we chose to dine here because we were celebrating our daughter's birthday and it's where she asked to eat. Mi Ranchito is a cute restaurant. It gives off an authentic feel, is pretty clean, the hosts/hostess are welcoming and the servers are patient and attentive. Their menu has a nice variety to choose from and their prices are average. The meal portions are generous. I cannot say this is my most favorite Mexican restaurant if I am being honest because the food quality varies with each visit but, I've only really ever been disappointed once. Their food does taste good. I usually get the combo with two beef tacos, rice, and beans. They do this weird thing with their tacos by putting on a dressing that tastes like Italian dressing in my opinion BUT it works and tastes great lol. My husband enjoys their enchiladas and our daughter really likes the chile relleno. Definitely worth checking out

Inside is cute, colorful walls and paper flags. Service was great. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The food is where we had to dock several stars. The free salsa was good, but definitely missing something. Also needed salt. My husband got the carne asada thin steaks. They were soooo chewy. Horrible texture. He couldn't even finish it. I got the flautas which were yummy but I felt like I needed a sauce or salsa for dipping. The options on the table were not enticing. The rice was just terrible. Way overcooked and clumpy. Lacked flavor. Guacamole was brown. They offered tableside fresh made guacamole which was cool but I guess the guacamole I got had been sitting out the kids enjoyed their quesadillas. We won't be back. $90 for a subpar meal was disappointing

The vibe in here is really cute and colorful. Our wait was awesome. He kept bringing refills without us having to ask. The Diet Coke was incredibly crisp. The shrimp tacos came with a lot of shrimp and were really good. My husband got the enchiladas and he enjoyed them. They are open on Sundays too which is great.

Mi Ranchito is a classic American Fork staple. It's always nice to find a non-major-chain restaurant (especially in this part of Utah county!) The service, food and ambiance are all good. I wouldn't say they are amazing or much better than any classic Mexican joint, but they do the job and make it worth stopping in. The restaurant is clean and the menu very large! The rice is exceptional-- very fluffy and not dry. And our food came out exceptionally fast!

I have been coming to mi ranchito my whole Life and will continue to. The food is always amazing and the menu is huge so you can never get sick of it- but your go to will always be on point too! Service is always friendly and it always clean.

Our server was a very kind young man and took good care of us, but with the quality of the food and the price, I really wouldn't suggest trying. The fish tacos are fried (and probably frozen from Sysco), the chorizo tacos I ordered were burnt to the point where it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The pastor was honestly really good though. My wife enjoyed the enchiladas, but again, $15 for the plate we got just seemed agressive and inconsiderate of the customers. The restaurant itself was nice enough, not particularly dirty or clean. The door leading to outside seating was locked, apparently we couldn't eat out there. It's not the worst I've had, but the value for price is insanely low.

Step inside and you will find a beautifully decorated space with an open kitchen greeting you at the entrance and a staff that is genuinely enthusiastic about the food they are serving. Ocotillo specializes in the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico, a region known for bold meat and seafood dishes. They also offer a daily brunch menu that is worth planning your weekend around. We ordered the tres leches pancakes, a triple stack that delivers exactly what the name promises. Bathed in a three milk mixture and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream, moist but not to sweet. The Sonorense combination was equally impressive. Arrachera steak strips, chilaquiles made with poblano chile, a tamal de elote, and two eggs. The arrachera was excellent and the chilaquiles were crispy, which is exactly how they should be and not something every kitchen gets right. The menu is long enough that choosing something different next time will be a genuine challenge. Omelettes, chilaquiles, brioches, and other specialties give you plenty of reasons to return. We are already looking forward to exploring the lunch and dinner menu. Slightly more expensive than a standard breakfast spot, but the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients justify every dollar. Five stars without hesitation.

I the tortillas weren't really cooked or heated through very well and there was literally no cheese. When I flagged down the young man who seemed to the shift, he very politely told me expensive and they were cutting back on it. When I showed him my taco with literally 2 to 3 tiny shreds of cheese on it, instead of the cooked cheese shell that I was accustomed to, he was like "oh whoa that's not enough!" no kidding. Additionally, the meat was overcooked, kind of crispy and crunchy as opposed to being tender or juicy. We each got two tacos, we each got the bird and my husband got a Memphis and I got fleeing Californian. None of them were up to smoked taco standards. I tried to leave a review through their website and what I got was "Sorry this seems like Spam so you can't submit this review." How to lose a in one visit. This would be the way. But I'm sad because they really did have something unique going for them, very tasty. Very intriguing mix of flavors. But you gotta bring back the cheese guys you gotta bring back the cheese and the crispy crust and the tender meat because that's why we showed up in the first place.

I will say, this is NOT fast food. They make the food fresh to order so do not expect to have a fast drive-thru. We waited quite some time but I have no complaints about that because of the freshness of the food. Additionally, we ordered a side of rice but the nice gentleman at the window told us that as they were cooking the rice, they decided after doing quality control, it just wasn't up to par with their standards. So, he offered us a refund on the side of rice and they filled the taco salad with all the other yummy stuff. We appreciated the honesty and would rather a refund than to be sold yucky rice! As far as the food goes, it was all fantastic. The taquitos hit the spot and had guacamole, cheese, and lettuce. I'd for sure get them again! The refried beans were hot and flavorful. The beef in the taco was juicy and fresh. We will definitely try the taco salad again when they have better rice so we can get the full experience but the chicken was super juicy and flavorful. We are happy to have stumbled upon this place and grateful they're open for our late night cravings. We will definitely be back!
