So it admittedly takes a lot for me to give a fast food place a 5... but Stripes deserves it…read more I picked up breakfast burritos on my way into work and they are the absolute best. They came out piping hot and were absolutely huge. I ordered the larges but I think the regular easily would be enough food. They even have an option to get it without the tortilla for those watching carbs or calories. I had the Carne Adovada burrito with the red chile and it was probably one of the best breakfast scrambles I have ever had. Everything tasted delicious. All of the people I got breakfast for commented how good it was and how they want it again next time we are in town. I was there at 7 AM and there were no cars in the drive through. The employee was polite and answered my questions as I had several special requests. The building is small and I didn't go inside so I can't comment on the cleanliness but it looks good from the outside. If you've never tried Stripes... do so!! Highly recommended!!

It was just okay. The chile Does not have the best flavor. It seems that they use sharp cheddar. Just my personal preference.I wish they would use mild cheddar. The tangy flavor of the cheese , how , along with the flavor of the chile Just does not please my taste buds. There was plenty of chopped up bacon in potatoes , but not enough eggs. The employees were my friendly in the order came out fast. I probably won't be back. If you haven't tried them, Give them a chance.

The exterior and "lobby" area make it look like the restaurant is on the small side with limited seating, but it extends quite far back with indoor table options and an extensive back patio area for a nice ambiance to enjoy your New Mexican cuisine. Service was very leisurely, but we didn't mind, as we were catching up with friends who've moved to the area and haven't seen in several years. The chips and salsa aren't complementary, though the waiter made it seem that way when he casually asked if we wanted some when we were seated. Plentiful cocktail and drink menu, as well as appetizers and entrees. I was happy with my selection of Spanish/fried chile rellenos, and I had it with the salsa "Christmas style", with both green and red salsa. It was flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the rice and beans hit the spot. I couldn't wait to take the leftovers home for snacking the next day. Kids' menu has the typical offerings, and the fries on the side are abundant. We had sopapillas (like fried dough) with honey after our entrees, which was included with the adult meals. A very nice dining experience in the historic Old Town neighborhood!
