The chips were fresh, and the salsa flavorful, and an ample amount of each. I ordered the Arroz con Polo this evening. It was delivered to my table in just a few minutes. I'll say it was different than what I've had anywhere, containing fresh veggies. A very nice compliment to a standard dish. Well done! We love Mi Pubs! If it wasn't for there efficient pick-up during shut down, the trial of endurance during this time for us would have been awful. We ordered and picked up almost once a week. Not only did we enjoy our favorite meals but also got Margaritas to go, which are excellent by the way. We looked forward to seeing the friendly faces of all that work there each week. And even when their lot was packed, we could tell they kept on smiling from their eyes(due to smiles covered by masks) Looking forward to getting back inside but they were integral in getting us through this pandemic. This was seriously the worst Mexican food I've ever had. The beans definitely came from a can. The rice may be more than a few days old, the salsa is flavorless, the chips were stale. I ordered the #26: 2 chili rellanos with rice and beans. They put ground beef in the rellanos!!! Who in the eff puts ground beef on rellanos?! And they were covered in a red sauce that I can liken to tomato paste. The egg coating was a thin layer of, well I'm not quite sure what it's is. The "cheese" inside was more like crappy canned cheese sauce. The chili's were tough sorta chili jerky? Oh man. My husband ordered a carne asada burrito. This was incredible laughable. So this "burrito" was a taco-sized tortilla filled with shredded steak and covered with that tomato paste sauce and some canned cheese sauce. I literally have no clue how someone enjoys this trash. This place will never receive a penny from me again. I feel like I should have been paid to try to eat that mush (which 90% of ended up on the garbage.) Their only saving grace is that the meal total was only $16 so at least I'm not out much. read more

Best tostaguac around, it's a tostada with beef, sour cream and guacamole. Very good food and margaritas, ridiculously low prices and quick service made me a fan of Mi Pueblito. Huge menu in a modestly sized restaurant, plus a tiny patio out back for good days. How ridiculously low? Apparently endless chips and mild red salsa are free, 12oz draft Dos XX $2, basic margarita $4, and three-item combination platters are $8! It's like being back in the 1990s for this East coaster lol. Maybe costs are modest in Versailles but this was still impressively affordable for good food in a nice place with table service. House-made chips came with a mild smooth red salsa, forgettable, needed some cilantro, peppers, chunks, something. I tried the "favorite" platter which included a tostaguac, a beef burrito (really more of an enchilada) and a very nice chile relleno; $8. But no rice nor beans. Very much enjoyed this great meal for so little money. My dining companion got the enchiladas rancheras, cheese enchiladas topped with beef stew (no ground beef), that was fantastic and just $7.50. Vegetarian rating: 4 stars at lunch for the 4 different veggie combination platters, each just $7. At dinner it's a different story, no discussion of veg fajitas nor combos altho you can get veggie quesadillas, guac & chips, and some salads. I didn't ask if the beans are strictly veg. Do they think vegetarians only come out at lunch? IDK, weird. Is it great mexican? Nah, there's no mole sauce, no cactus, nothing very spicy nor amazing but the chips are made in house and it deserves 4 stars for the value. read more

Mi Pueblito's, or Me Pubs as the locals call it, is one of the few Mexican places in Versailles. To be honest, if I were in L.A. and came across Me Pubs I probably wouldn't go there, but living in Lexington and working in Versailles means that Me Pubs is an option. Today was my third visit to Mi Pueblito's, the first for lunch. I went with the Burrito California, which like almost everything on the menu is covered in cheese sauce (queso). I'm not sure if this is true Tex-Mex, as I am not an expert nor a particularly big fan of the Texas cuisine, but it feels like it to me. Cheese sauce poured over almost every menu item. The burrito was ok and a bit salty, as have been all my other dishes here at Me Pubs. I'd give the food at Me Pubs two stars, but service is always great, so I'll give them a generous three. If you're looking for Mexican in Versailles, go to Lexington and try Mi Pequeña Hacienda or Abuelo's. If you can't/won't go to Lexington and are stuck in Versailles, go to El Tapatio. read more

Won't be back. Order the queso w beef with had no cheese and a pile of beef. Need to rename it to a pile of bad tasting beef w no cheese. Asked to send it back to just get a cheese dip they charged me for both and wouldn't take it off the bill. The kids meals were absolutely terrible. They can't even cook fries for the kids. Service was terrible and never got refil or my check and had to walk up to request my bill. You could have earned a long time customer since I'm in the area all the time. What a wonderful and nice place to go for lunch! I went here for lunch on Valentine's Day, and it was genuinely awesome. The atmosphere was fun and casual, my glass never got less than half full, and everyone was so friendly! I'm allergic to almost all animal products, and they had veggie fajitas on the menu that were perfect! They even have a designated vegetarian selection, even on the lunch section! (Might I add, it's more vegetarian friendly than vegan friendly, but there are choices for everyone) The fajitas were piping hot, filling, and wonderfully flavored, everything you could possibly want, plus the side plate filled with pico de gallo, refried beans, yellow rice, guacamole, and some other yummy food was overflowing. I like 2 mexican restaurants in this world and one probably isnt very Mexican at all. Qdoba has nice fresh burritos although a little pricey for fast food. Mi Pueblitos is definitely my favorite though. There food is great and the menu is huge with all kinds of variety. My alltime fave is the Carnitas, these big hunks of slow cooked pork with these amazing seasonings. And the prices are cheap, especially if you clip the coupon out of the local paper. Because Versailles doesn't have a lot of options for restaurants, we have been forced to choose Mi Publeto time and time again if we want Mexican and don't want to drive to Lexington or Frankfort. Never again. Here is what has become the typical trip to this restaurant. 1. Chips and dip show up at the table almost as your sitting at other Mexican restaurants, not here. Plan on waiting 10 minutes for you chips to arrive before getting your drink order. Then wait another 5-10 minutes for your drinks to arrive. 2. Food not only takes way too long but the last 5 times we've been there has either been wrong or someone had to wait for their food for more than 10 minutes after the rest of the table has been served. Stuff happens, I understand that, but over and over again? How about an apology for everyone else's food getting cold while they wait for the person who hasn't received their dinner. How about when the food finally does come out that it's not cold and has obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. Just poor. 3. Beyond long wait times the food is subpar at best. My sons chicken quesadilla had a small chicken bone in it. 4. And this takes the cake. Tonight my wife ordered the special which was listed at $5.99, they changed it to $6.99 while we were seated eating dinner. The server brought the check and of course they upped the price to the the new price. After finally losing it because of all the other issues, the manager apologized and changed it back to $5.99 which was listed when we sat down. We have been to this restaurant probably 40 times since we've lived in Versailles and after tonight we will never be back. Bad service, poor food, and lack of constancy. The only reason they are still open is because they are the only real game in town if you're craving Mexican. Adios Mi Publeto, we won't be back. read more

About a month or two ago, I went in with my boss. She was new to the area and wanted to get good Mexican food so I brought this place up as I knew it had used to be a great place to go. We both got chicken nachos, and they were terrible. The recipe had been changed as I knew because I had went many times before and that's was always my go to. Granted, it had been a couple years since I had last went. GIVING THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, I decided to give it another shot with my girlfriend last week. I ordered a burrito with nothing on it, just queso. Well, I got my food and there was lettuce and tomato on it, I then get a waiter to let him know that's now what I ordered and he was very rude. "Well that's how it comes", and I said "I get that, but that's not what I ordered". I had also got a strawberry margarita and it wasn't even blended, it tasted terrible. I will NOT be back. The food was just ok but I ordered ice tea to drink which tasted like it was old and usually the tea is really good there. I told the waiter and he was nice and promptly brought me a water . When we were given the check the waiter said to tell the person at the register about the tea and he would take it off the check. I told him What the waiter said to and he got so defensive and said there was nothing wrong with the tea and no one else had complained. His tone with me was similar to a parent reprimanding a child and relunctanly he did take it off the bill. My wife and I used to go to this place once a week. We will no longer be going back. The food is now greasy and we seem to get sick after eating there. My wife had the Chimichanga and it was swimming in oil and just nasty. We would have reported this to the waiter if indeed we saw him after we ordered. Yep had the 3 visit waiter this time. I had the fajitas and same result. I will not. I have never seen a combination of bad service, bland food and huge amounts of grease on food that stayed around. I guess the only real downside is that Mexican food isn't quite the healthiest but I have dad their grilled chicken and veggies. This restaurant is what it is- a cheap place to get a burrito with the family in the heart of Versailles. Wait staff is attentive and nice. Portions and presentation is about par for the course. Drinks are good. Highly suggest the BBQ chicken nachos with the queso, Pollo camino, and the taco salad. When I want to hang out with buddies, we choose "Mi Pubs," as it's known locally. Whenever I ask co-workers if they want to grab a bit to eat, 9 times out of 10 it is Mexican food at Mi Pueblitos lol and the other times it is Ricardos lol. I am sure they get tired of going there with me, but hey, I really like it. When you walk in you are greeted and seated. Service is pretty quick regardless of how many people are dining. I usually get the steak fajitas with corn tortillas. The steak comes with tomatoes, green peppers and onions sizzling on a skillet if you get the 6oz meal, and it comes with a side of pico de gallo, refriend beans, lettuce, tomatoes and Mexican rice . The salsa is very good and you can judge the food based on if the salsa is good or not and the tortilla chips are not salty or greasy which is just right. I have tried two other Mexican restaurants in Versailles and I always refer back to this one for great food. They recognize me because I go often so they welcome me back with warm smiles and a sense of familiarity. read more
