Legitimately, the best Mexican restaurant experience I've ever had! I've been to hundreds of…read moreMexican restaurants thousands of times, but this beat all. Great service, great chips and salsa, great hot sauces, fantastic drinks, and amazing entree. I ordered a bourbon sour, which was made by hand with real egg white. It was thick, creamy, and delicious, pairing perfectly with the many spicy food items I ordered. I was between several entree items, but took the waitress' opinion and ordered the puerco en salsa with tomatillo sauce, spicy. So very good. We also ordered the chicharrones on a whim as an appetizer, which were amazing dipped in the hot sauce. I would highly recommend a visit here. We're only in town a few days, but plan on coming back before we leave.

I've been coming here for 10+ years for their handmade tortillas and fresh barbacoa tacos. They also have a killer creamy green sauce that ties everything together perfectly. I always try to switch up the protein but I can't. I like what I like, and the barbacoa is the reason I keep coming back. They offer plenty of other authentic Mexican plates as well, so there's something for everyone. The owners are incredibly sweet, and the inside feels just like a small, cozy Mexican taqueria simple, welcoming, and full of heart. One thing to note: they now have a weird closing time before dinner, so plan accordingly if you're making the trip.
