Love a good local street taco spot but have given up on this place. Food was excellent the first time but greasy and sloppy since then. Service has ranged from friendly and wonderful to rude and annoyed people showed up. The beef barbacoa street tacos were absolutely delicious. They were also very small. I ordered 2 and was not satisfied, needed 4-5. And I'm an average sized woman who wasn't trying to stuff myself. But an order of 5 costs $10 each. seems a little steep. But maybe not if you consider the overhead costs of their nice building, location, staff pay, and quality ingredients. The guac is not mild. Paid $6 for chips and guac (a pretty hefty portion of guac) and only got a couple bites out of it because it was too hot for me. I'm not a major wimp but I'm also not a masochist who wants lots of spicy just for the sake of it. I definitely think this place could be a go-to once I figure what what I need to order. The worst tacos I have ever had anywhere. Got 4 Tex mex tacos. 3 ground beef & 1 pork pastor. Girl at window saw me put money in the tip cup but didn't say thank you then or when she gave us our food. That seems to be normal anymore everywhere. Drove about 5 minutes with sack in my lap then stopped to eat. Grease had soaked through the bag onto my pants. When unwrapped tacos the hard shells were so soggy they had separated at the bottom. Couldn't even pick them up. Had to eat with a fork. Only had a tablespoon or 2 of filling. Pork had several pieces that were only gristle. Will definitely not be going back. A dine in Papi's opening near my house but not sure if I'll try them or not. Anybody that would put out the quality of food I got must have pretty low standards read more

I feel like many of the negative reviews below don't understand what street tacos are. If you don't like corn tortillas, perhaps just leave that at a personal preference instead of reviewbombing a restaurant for giving you what you ordered? With that said, Papi's is a solid taco stand. Meat is flavorful, sauces pack the heat, and 2.50 a taco is a pretty good buy unless you're used to only buying from the Bell. The chips are mediocre but the queso is also tasty. Nothing tops Taqueria Ramirez for me, but it's great to have a good drive thru option for street tacos during this pandemic when going into small restaurants feel less comfortable. read more

Not bad but far from my favorite taco. I ordered the 5 street taco combo with pastor,Chile verde and chorizo. All the options were decent but had weird sauces on them. The tortillas tasted store bought and were average. The outdoor seating is nice and the staff were friendly. Over really good experience. I ordered chicken and asada street tacos and rice&beans. This is one of the few places that I really liked both the chicken and asada meat. Rice and beans was average but definitely not bad by any means; the rice was a little overcooked for my liking but I understand some people like their rice a little crunchy. The burrito was good, and a great size for lunch, but what really put it over the top for me was a really nice red salsa they included with my order. I have eaten here several times recently. I ordered queso again today. It was like water. After 20 min it still was like water. I'm sure they rehydrated it. That tells me that the queso had to have been so old that they added water to keep it from clumping. I don't expect too much from a drive through taco stand. My issue is more that I have tried to contact them and they don't even answer the phone. It will be a long while before I try this place again. read more

Went 45 min before they closed and at least 3 employees made eye contact with us outside but none of them acknowledged us standing there. We stood there for about 5 minutes while an employee was sitting in front of the window ignoring us. Finally we walked away and left. It's a shame this place is brand new and is already providing service like this. We Have come a few times since they opened and the employees always seem like they are annoyed we are there.
