I ordered what they call brisket, but it was bland and lacking flavor. The house-made sauces didn't do much to help, as they were just as underwhelming. The food came out quickly, but I can't help wondering if a little more time and attention to the food would have made a difference. If I had to pick the best thing on my plate, it would have to be the collard greens. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant looks like someone converted an old shed into a dining establishment. I'm assuming letting guests sign their names on the walls, ceiling, and pretty much any available surface is supposed to count as decor. Personally, I found it tacky rather than charming. Overall, the experience fell well short of the hype. Between the underwhelming BBQ and the atmosphere, I wouldn't return for a second chance. Based on our visit, I just don't see what all the fuss is about.
