This is a great place to get a great meal, a cocktail, and leave satisfied. The place is so cool…read more Brick and iron at its best. The charm of old tables with mismatched chairs, even a bench made from an old bed headboard. The staff is great. Quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. The bar is huge. Bottles upon bottles. Then there is the food. Locally sourced and cooked to order. My mom ordered the catfish. It looked delicious and she ate every bite on the plate. My breakfast bowl was absolutely perfect! Potatoes roasted to perfection with awesome hot sausage with eggs cooked to order and covered in the best sausage gravy that I have ever had! Note: I love sausage gravy and have eaten it all over the country. Bravo to the chef! We will be back!

As usual, food is worth the drive. Had a wonderful luncheon with friends, last week. Ordered the…read morefried chicken (8 piece, as we wanted leftover chicken, and wanted several sides ). The cornbread was stunning, love how it is served in the skillet. The sides of crispy brussel sprouts ( a10+), whipped potatoes, mac n cheese, and field salad were wonderful. As for the fried chicken, it's wonderful, crispy and not over seasoned, allowing the chicken to shine. The only downside, and this bothered me enough that I actually emailed the restaurant. They now offer mocktails - one sounded extremely refreshing, Blueberry Spritz, so I ordered. It was very refreshing. The problem arose when I went to pay the bill and discovered I had been charged for the alcoholic Blueberry Spritz, when I asked the waiter, they apologized as they forgot it was now offered as a mocktail. The mocktail and cocktail have the same name, so.... Had I been a recovering alcoholic, or had a medical condition that prevented me from drinking, this could of been bad. When emailing the restaurant I suggested they change the names so a mocktail could not be confused for a cocktail. I had pointed to the mocktail, even commenting on it sounding great as a non alcoholic option, when ordering. If you want a mocktail, confirm when given to you, it is a mocktail... by the way, my cocktail did not taste alcoholic...

Service at the bar just for drinks early in a weekday was great. They had a fun college night and…read moreroom to dance on a normal night. Even a stage for a band. There is a full bar and food too. We didn't eat this trip though.

Let me preface this review by saying that your experience here really depends on what you are…read moreexpecting and what event you may be here for. My husband and I knew that line dancing was an offering here on Monday nights. After months of wanting to check it out, we finally got a babysitter and headed out for an early evening on the town! Tipsy Cow is what I expected from a little bar/grill in a strip mall. There is a bar, a stage, a dance floor, some pool tables, and some tables. For some reason, I was under the impression there would be a mechanical bull, but I didn't see one. I have no idea why I thought there'd be one. The line dancing was fun; however, husband and I are somewhat seasoned line dancers and the learning pace of the dance was a bit too slow for us. It took an hour to learn one dance. We were glad they played a few songs after the lesson to keep the dancers dancing a bit more, though. The turnout for the lesson was decent, but only a small handful of people remained on the floor after the lessons. We were slightly disappointed, BUT we still had fun. We do want to come back for the line dancing, but now we have a better idea of what to expect. We did not order drinks (we already had drinks earlier in the evening at another place) but did get some food. The menu is small and more like 'bar food' -- not a restaurant or anything like that. We ordered cheese fries because all the dancing was building up an appetite! The cheese fries were perfect. Service was great. This isn't the kind of bar I would usually like (I'm more of a craft brewery person). However, I had fun here because the line dancing was fun. If I came here just to come here for drinks and food, I don't think it would have been just as enjoyable. I don't know what the shows are like, either.
