I wanted to update my review to include the ramen. I love the pokebowls but the ramen I could skip. The broth was very flat definitely needed some salt. The pork belly was overcooked. The noodles were nice and chewy and thicker than what you'd expect. It definitely needed more vegetables. It was a large portion though which I can appreciate. I do want to try the miso broth and see if that's more flavorful since I tried the pork. They also have a more traditional ramen broth which I want to try but I was not a fan of the pork and the pork belly definitely needed to be cooked last I think next time I'm going to try the chicken. Plus $20 for a bowl of ramen seems expensive.

A bit pricy, and the staff seems a bit unorganized but the food is very much worth it. The only poke in the area and definitely a must go if you're craving anything sushi/poke related. Overall a nice ambiance and cool aesthetic, just a bit chaotic inside when I went in. Still highly recommend the restaurant if you are looking for food of this type!

I ordered both tea's and a spicy tonkatsu grilled chicken ramen bowl. I somehow didn't get the picture of the ramen . But it was all delicious. Staff was very welcoming and the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing .

It felt like there wasn't enough noodles for all of the broth that you get. They also do not sell the seamed buns anymore:( The employees were very kind and accommodating though, this is not a service type place though and you order at the front and the pick up your food at the pickup window or they will deliver it to you depending on the size of the order. My friend got the Ugly Pot and it was really really tasty! And my other friend got the Chicken Katsu and said it was also very good and it's her favorite place to get it!

Normally authentic Ramen not…read moreclose to a major city(NYC, Boston, San Fran) would be a major red flag but Michigan in general is quite diverse and to be honest, has not failed me yet. Sapporo is not about to break that trend! Right off the bat, the vibe is chill and the staff is welcoming. I go for the Takoyaki and Hakata modern. The Takoyaki is absolutely delicious. Wonderful balance of texture and salt vs sweet. Easily top 3 I've had. On to the ramen....which I was ready to be super hyper critical on. Hakata modern features Tonkotsu pork broth, chashu, ajitsuke tamago, menma, beansprouts, garlic oil, umami dama, and scallions. Final verdict? The broth is rich and flavorful, and there is plenty of it! The ramen egg is a tab bit overdone and the chasu can be a little more tender but who am I kidding? It's pretty damn good! The best part of all? Sapporo sits at a very reasonable price point while not compromising on high quality. All in all, very much worth a trip while in the area. Sapporo slides right into my go to lineup :-)

Walking in, this place has a very cool lounge type of vibe. Not a ton of tables, but it felt very comfortable and inviting. My colleague and I sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by the bartender, who was amazing. She recommended the Xolo Margarita to get started and it was delicious. For dinner, I ordered Elote (Mexican street corn), 1 Birria taco, 1 Al Pastor taco, and 1 carne asada taco (not pictured). The Elote was creamy, salty, spicy and sweet in all the best ways. The Birria (dipping taco) was super flavorful and the consume was just right. The Al pastor taco was the perfect balance of salty and sweet, thanks to the pineapple on it. The carne asada taco was good, but probably the most plain. This place was awesome and not overpriced. I paid just under $18 for all of my food, not including the margarita. If you happen to be in Flint, you need to stop in. I will be going back for sure.

The birria ramen was interesting, the meat was chunked, not shredded and the broth had flavors of clove or cinnamon- was not expecting that and I did not care for it. I used to crave this place and tell everyone about it when it was New Age Noodles and now I have zero desire to go back since the menu change/ rebranding. Sad. RIP.

On our most recent visit, my wife and I started the meal with grandmas eggrolls and steam buns. The buns have a "rotating flavor," which was pork this time around. Both apps were enjoyable, but the steam buns could've used more pork. For our entrees, we ordered the almond boneless dunkers and the pork katsu. Both entrees came with rice, which had above average flavor and texture. The katsu was delicious, and is hands down the best dish I've had here. The dunkers were pretty sizable compared to other restaurants' ABC, but the gravy it came with had an unpleasant, metallic taste. Overall, New Age Noodles is a good restaurant. I will say, I would like to see some of the specials become permanent menu items.
