Ordered ton yum soup 32 oz . It was $18. Tom yum is normally made with a chicken broth and tom yum paste that gives a wonderful flavor. I make this at home all the time . This soup was water based with some stewed tomatoes added and had zero flavor. It was horrible! The price is way overblown. If they actually used fresh chicken , instead of frozen, chicken broth or stock and tom yum paste it might be worth the price tag . The food was really fresh and really tasty. Plenty of seating and plenty of parking. Was ready when they said it would be. It's on the pricey side but it's worth it the ingredients are quality. I got the curry puffs which were crunchy and smoky with a great sweet dip that has some cucumbers and onions diced up small. I also got the pineapple fried rice with added chicken. I wish the red and green peppers were diced a little smaller they're in strips but the flavor was there and also it needs more pineapple if it's called pineapple rice. I did like it but it lacked pineapple. I gave them an extra star though because they do give you enough food to eat for a while. read more

The service was great. I had Thai Tea, Tom Kha soup (seafood medley), Phad Thai (seafoood medley) both medium spice. The tea was ok, didn't taste much of the tea flavor, mostly sweet cream. The soup was very generous with the seafood, but I thought it was kind of thin and and too sweet. The Phad Thai was again very generous with seafood, but again too sweet. No wok flavor in the noodles. It had too much sauce. I didn't feel the medium spice. You might want to at least do spicy or really if you like it hot. It was my first time here and I really wanted to like the place. There are a few other things on the menu that I would like to try next time. read more

We drove from Saginaw to B.Pepper for dinner. I was so dissatisfied with my meal. 1st, it was brought out and the plate it was served on was ICE COLD. So I touched the middle of my food and it was lukewarm. (I never send anything back but I had to tell the young man my food was not even warm). The other meals in our party were fairly warm but all on COLD PLATES. Usually at these types of restaurants they actually serve meals on trays with warmers! The food was in a black (salty)sauce. I've never seen food in a sauce that was so dark. Two of the other people in our group ordered "mild plus" for the spiciness... they were assured it would not be very spicy. Well, their dishes came out medium spicy, so they accommodated them by bringing out more of that black sauce to pour over their meals... one bowl of rice was brought out for three people to share so we made due with that amount of rice... not an enjoyable experience for all of us. The food at this restaurant was very good, a huge portion of pad Thai and for my wife Bangkok noodles. Plenty of food, brought home, lots of leftovers, and it was pretty good. My problem with this restaurant is that their prices are very high on the dinner menu. Our check was $56 for two entrées and 2 cups of tea, they also add a 3.75% fee if you use a credit card. I'm not used to paying this much for a meal of this nature so I will choose someplace different next time. By comparison, our last meal at our favorite Chinese restaurant was less than $30 for just about the same amount of food items. read more

Grabbed carry out from Bangkok Pepper while visiting family in the area and it was great. We tried the Chicken Pad Thai, Pra Ram Long Song, and Beef Pad Se-ew. We ordered all three dishes with medium spice which was just right. We also got an order of chicken satay and spring rolls. All of the flavors were great and each dish was unique. The chicken satay was a smidge dry for my liking, but the flavors were good and dipping it in the sauces that came with it helped. The spring rolls were great and the dipping sauce that came with them was also good. The prices were a bit high, but the portions were huge and you could easily stretch each dish into 2 meals. Looking forward to trying different dishes the next time I get to order from here! read more

The last few times i've went here (over the last 4 yrs) the food just isn't worth it. The pad Thai sauce was so liquidity. This last time I went (a week ago) I ordered a different dish. Should I feel bad that I might be the minority here? But the Yelp tooltip gives me "Meh. I've experienced better." for 2 stars, and that's exactly how I felt. I'll call it 2.5 stars. I'm a huge fan of Thai food. But it's not like I've lived in Thailand or have Thai aunt that cooks some crazy home meals or anything. I just tend to try a lot of Thai restaurants all over the States and have more than enough data captured to know which ones pass the authenticity, and taste better than others. I really wanted to like this one, but unfortunately didn't. The atmosphere is fine. It's might even be considered cute. The place was clean. Service was above average. But the taste of food is definitely below average. It hits the mark on my biggest pet peeve of non-Chinese food tasting like Chinese food. I'm talking about the stereotypical cheap mom-n-pop take-out Chinese places here, not the gourmet round-table joints. Every culture does fried rice a tiny bit different. Thai is no exception. It should've had a hint of Thai to them, but all I got was a hard-hit of soy sauce. Pad Thai again, tasted like noodle stir-fried in soy sauce and nothing more. If I was at a aforementioned Chinese take-out place, I would have considered them even "good." But I was at a seemingly high-regarded by locals Thai place. And I was starving! Maybe it was an off-night. Maybe I'm full of crap and don't know a thing about Thai food. All of the good reviews are making me very curious. But! It is what it is. This is my honest review of the first time visit, and needless to say, I don't think I'll be returning, especially because there are at least a couple places in Toledo that serve better tasting Thai dishes. Took spouse and some siblings there for lunch. The service was friendly and good. The food however was not that great. I ordered my Pad See Ew hot, it was barely mild. I asked for chicken AND extra vegetables in mine for which I was charged an additional $5.50 on a $9.95 dish. There was barely any broccoli which comes with the dish not to mention I had a hard time finding any additional vegetables for which I paid more than half the cost of the dish itself. This location has a lot of good reviews by regular customers, but for me, the food we ordered was ok. We got lost early on because the gps headed us to the old location. We had to drive around and finally saw its new location. It was dinner time when we arrived. The dining room was almost full. We were able to sit down without prior reservation. The waitress was friendly and gave us cold water to drink. We ordered chicken drunken noodles, and seafood vegetable medley. It didn't take a long time for them to cook. The flat noodles tend to be overcooked. And it is bland for my taste. Preferably, I'm used to eating savory Thai Food from different restaurants. Although, their serving was a lot for 2 people. So, their price is reasonable. I do like their interior. Their floor and restroom is really clean. Haven't tried all of their dishes. So far, doesn't make me want to go back. The potatoes in my dish were spoiled, I asked for brown rice instead of white rice; & they charged me a $5.50 up charge without making me aware of it until it came time to pay. They are to cheap to prog out new menus, so they scratched out the price & hand wrote a higher price. The food came out luke warm. The coconut milk was barely discernable in the massamun curry. Let me start by saying, This Place was packed and 10-15 call in orders were waiting! So locals love this place and I was happy to be here. I ordered the Gra Pow Gai with no chicken no meat. I added broccoli and green beans. My order was made to-go. When I got to my room I noticed they give you lots of food which is great! I would have given them 4 stars but my veggies weren't as crunchy. They weren't soggy but not very crunchy, maybe just a tad over cooked. Spice level and flavors were great! First time here. Quarantine sucks. Here we go. Ordered the See Paw Paw or whatever. It's flat noodles, eggs, broccoli, brown sauce and your choice of meat. I got shrimp because of course I did. Brown sauce is delicious, noodles are delicious. The broccoli has a good crunch to it. The eggs are all right. I'm not much of an egg guy. I eat it scrambled with my breakfast on occasion but mostly in my Chinese, Japanese, and now Thai food. I can take or leave the eggs honestly. However, I do suggest these guys should probably rename their shrimp to "crack-cocaine from the sea" because that stuff is grand. Total came out to $15 for dinner carton. I've been to Bangkok Pepper a few times now, including a handful of times while they were still at their old location farther down on Hill Road, but my husband and I hadn't been patronizing the place too much lately and I couldn't really think of why. Well, now after our most recent visit, I definitely can't remember why we've kinda ignored Bangkok Pepper for the past several months or so! We recently stopped in again for dinner following a friend's funeral last month. From the service to the food, we were pleased. I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu, while my husband opted for a pad Thai dish. We split a combo appetizer, which featured spring rolls, curry puffs and cheese rolls with dipping sauces. I have to hand it to Bangkok Pepper- those cheese rolls were awesome and a little addictive! The spring rolls were quite nice as well, but my husband preferred the curry puffs the most. For me, it was all about those cheese rolls. More please! Our appetizer and soups came out of the kitchen fairly quickly, as well our hot teas, which were refilled throughout the meal without question by our server. I will say this, though- my first cup of hot tea wasn't exactly scorching hot, more like lukewarm at best, but my husband's was heated the way it should be. Each refill seemed sufficiently hot, fortunately. I never bothered to mention to our waitress that my hot tea was, in fact, lukewarm as it wasn't a big deal. The soup that comes with the meal does contain chicken bits, so if you're a vegetarian, you have to ask for a vegan option, which is annoying, but I already knew it in advance from ordering here before, so it wasn't a big deal, but I can see where it would be a problem for people. The entrees didn't take too long to hit the table after ordering, maybe 20 minutes, which was fine with us. At this point, I'd say the restaurant was pretty bustling. Both of our entrees came with both meat and vegetarian/tofu options, as well as our choice of spice level for the dipping sauces. I went with medium heat level this time, which seemed fine. I've gotten it spicier before, but I wasn't in the mood to eat something super hot, so the medium hot sauce was more than adequate. My husband went with something a little hotter, which he seemed happy with. The drunken noodles were pretty good, cooked properly with nice chunks of tofu. Was it super authentic Thai food? Probably not, but we're not in Thailand, so I won't overly nitpick about everything. You get the picture. If I expect it to be extremely authentic, then I guess I ought to be ordering it in Thailand. What I do expect is for it to be a tasty, healthy dish based on the traditional drunken noodle concept and not pre-made. Well, it was quite tasty, with plenty of flavor and was pleasing to the palette. My husband was fairly impressed with his dish, too, commenting that it was the best dish he's ever ordered at Bankok Pepper. In the past, we've had a few of their stir fried vegetarian dishes and a sweet and sour option, as well as the cashew chicken between us, and this visit definitely surpassed those experiences. Overall, the service was great, the food was pretty good and the portions and size were on the money. We had leftovers to take home for lunch the day, which is always a good thing. I'd give it 4.8 stars out of five, but I'll round it up to a five overall. read more

Ugh. My lips are still burning. I asked for a take out order of pad tai and green curry, a level 3 and 4 spice. I had the same thing last week so I knew exactly what spice level it is. To my horror, when I took my first bite, it was mind numbing spicy. My chest hurt and when I took a look at the sauce, it was an oily red. I called back, saying that there was a mistake in my food because it's inedible. There was a lengthy phone discussion before the lady said she'll put the manager on. The manager told me to bring back the food and they'll 'somehow reduce the spice by diluting it.' I told him that he needed to remake this in order to be edible. He gives me crap about bringing it back and NOT remaking my order. Whatever. At this point, I'm starving and I'm getting off a 36 hour shift. I drive back and the front people LECTURED me about making it more clear when I order over the phone. Apparently, they had a mixup and thought it was 4x and 3x the spiciest level! So I'm waiting now, quietly fuming because this was NOT my fault. read more

Food 4 stars Takeout service is 2 stars I would consider myself a semi-regular at Bangkok. I usually have Bangkok every two months. Their spring rolls are great (and not greasy!), though smaller than the average spring roll. The main dishes are always great. My go to dishes are the drunken noodles (steak), pepper steak, and pad Thai (chicken). Great dishes that never disappoint. Only downside lately has been the wait. I call ahead and they are 2-3x longer than what they initially have communicated. read more

Pretty frustrating experience today. I came with my dad and got there at 8:40pm, he went in to order and they told him they were closed when he got to the counter. He asked what time they closed and they said "we close at 9" when my dad told them it was 8:40, they repeated "we close at 9". The door was unlocked, open sign lit up in the window. It's one thing if you're going to close early, but you should close for real. Lock the door and turn off your sign. To tell a customer you close at 9 and it's 20 minutes to 9 just sounds like you don't care about your customers and don't wish to have repeat business. We have come here plenty of times but there are much better choices where you can get served during business hours. read more

Complimentary soup with order, chicken and rice soup, is super good and has crunchy rice.
