The food was excellent. We had Gra Pao Gai (basic chicken), chicken pad thai, crab rangoon and a spring roll. Spring roll needed some meat. Pork maybe. But it was buttery and crispy. The crab rangoon had great flavor they had a little too much crispy edges or broke some off and put it on top of the pad thai but the flavor inside with cream cheese was delicious. Chicken pad Thai was medium and it was on point with what you'd expect it had some heat but it didn't blow your hair off. The prices were Fair. The portions were enough to eat twice unless you wanted to just get uncomfortable. Haha. I will definitely order here again I want to try the red curry. We ordered doordash so I don't know what the inside looks like. There are a couple of alternatives in the area but I've tried them and I think I prefer this place over them especially when it comes to price and portion. read more

This is a hole in the wall that you keep going back to because it's so good! Walked in with my husband and asked the person at the counter what he eats there. He suggested the pad see ew. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and the four seasons. This is what you want in a noodle dish: thick noodles (but not choke you as you eat them) drenched in savory sauce. The mung beans add a nice fresh crunch to the dish. I ordered a medium heat and it was a nice heat without sweating. My husband though ordered xxhot: his neck was sweating lol. I ordered medium pad Thai no bean sprouts- and I'm not sure what this is? I'm not understanding why this is completely white? The "sauce" was as thin as water and all at the bottom, and this was the least spicy thing I've ever eaten. Super disappointed, especially because this place has good reviews. This was my first trip into this new restaurant. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I enjoy good Thai food so I was excited to see a new option in town since we only really have 1 choice. The environment is friendly, clean and welcoming. The menu is easy to read and simple. The price is comparative to others in the market and is well worth it for the meal itself. $10 for a box of chicken drunken noodles gives you more than any other typical Thai place.. so kuddos there. However $2.00 for a spring roll seems over priced for me. I can tell that the cooks are still figuring things out. My drunken noodles came out very light in color and lacked a full drunken noodles flavor that I am used to. However the spice level was perfect and the rest of the meal was great. I see some opportunities for growth, but they are on the right track. I will be back here again for a quick take out dinner. read more

I've now had the pad Thai with chicken and extra spicy (yes it is spicy) also, they told me there is a Thai spicy that's not on the menu if you wanna go more spicy. Bangkok Express is a real gem. I used to have to drive to their Ferndale, MI location to get my fix and now they are in the Flint area! I wanted to throw a party when I heard they were opening here. Second review for Bangkok Express, because I tried something new, their Princess Shrimp medium hot. I always order their Thai Fried Rice, with shrimp, medium heat and some of their spring rolls. The Princess Shrimp was very good and very well seasoned, except it didn't have enough Shrimp and Vegetables, in comparison to the ratio of Sauce. It was very good and tasty. Nice and hot too ! I ate it in combination with my shrimp fried rice, instead of using the plain white rice that came with it. It was a winning combination. I also notice the amount of food you normally get when you order has shrunken. Not happy about that, so instead of five stars I'll give four. Because of quantity and not enough veggies and shrimp in the Princess Shrimp and Spring Rolls are to expensive, for their size and the amount of ingredients they put inside of them, which has gotten even less. Will most likely stop even ordering them all together, not worth the $2.00 each. Overall, I find this is the best place in Flint for Thai food, especially my favorite, the fried rice. read more
