Awesome Thai food and Pho in the area. I've tried several items and haven't been disappointed.

I stopped by here this past Saturday night with my family for dinner. We were spending the night nearby when I looked for a place to eat and found Mays Bangkok. My wife and I checked out the menu and placed our order through their preferred website, which ultimately ended up coming from Springroll.com. The website gave me a 25-minute pickup time, so we headed on over. Mays Bangkok is located in a small strip mall. Don't turn into the Home Depot like I did, as there is no connection between the two parking lots. In any case, I arrived about 20 minutes after placing my order and found that the food was already ready. The inside of this restaurant is tiny, with six four-top tables and then a small area for the host to stand. There was also a picture of a city I didn't recognize on one wall and a TV on the back wall. For dinner on this evening I ordered the green curry with chicken and chose a hot spice level, while my wife ordered the drunken noodles with shrimp and a mild spice level. The menu described mine as stir-fried bell peppers, eggplant, and pea pods, while my wife's was described as stir-fried rice noodles, eggs, bell peppers, green onions, and cooked and raw bean sprouts. After getting back to our hotel, I opened the bag and was confused by my curry because it was definitely red instead of green. The ingredients were correct, though, which made it even more confusing. Thankfully, getting a red curry instead of a green curry wasn't a huge deal to me, and I did appreciate the flavor of the curry. It was also pretty spicy, but thankfully not enough to explode my head, and I was able to eat it without reaching for any water, even though it left a lingering heat in my mouth. The chicken took on the flavor of the curry nicely, and there were plenty of pea pods. I only wish there had been more eggplant. My wife also enjoyed her dish, especially the shrimp paired with the vegetables. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I was disappointed that I received a red curry instead of a green curry, my food here was good, and I thought the price was fair as well. read more

Not a bad Thai restaurant, but not great. There's limited tables and it's more of a takeout place. The food is OK, but there are many other Thai restaurants that are far better but you have to kind of get to Detroit I'm finding to get to them. There's not much as far as options in the Flint area. Food was amazing. Spiced perfectly and overall delicious!! Ordered Pineapple Curry with chicken (added shrimp) & Crab Rangoon.

The food was excellent. We had Gra Pao Gai (basic chicken), chicken pad thai, crab rangoon and a spring roll. Spring roll needed some meat. Pork maybe. But it was buttery and crispy. The crab rangoon had great flavor they had a little too much crispy edges or broke some off and put it on top of the pad thai but the flavor inside with cream cheese was delicious. Chicken pad Thai was medium and it was on point with what you'd expect it had some heat but it didn't blow your hair off. The prices were Fair. The portions were enough to eat twice unless you wanted to just get uncomfortable. Haha. I will definitely order here again I want to try the red curry. We ordered doordash so I don't know what the inside looks like. There are a couple of alternatives in the area but I've tried them and I think I prefer this place over them especially when it comes to price and portion. read more

The service was nice and the place was clean. We dinned in and the food was delivered in a timely manner. I ordered my pad Thai medium (like I do at every Thai restaurant) and there was no spice really at all. The crab rangoons were pretty good. We ordered Thai iced tea (we have had it plenty of times before at other places) and it was so gross we could not drink it, it had a horrible sour taste to it like something was expired. read more

Food flavor was fine but if you want a big portion there are other nearby options. I'm a Thai enthusiast and their portion was disappointing in comparison. I got a pork meal for 15$ and there was 9 pieces of thin sliced pork and minimal vegetables. read more

I ordered medium pad Thai no bean sprouts- and I'm not sure what this is? I'm not understanding why this is completely white? The "sauce" was as thin as water and all at the bottom, and this was the least spicy thing I've ever eaten. Super disappointed, especially because this place has good reviews. The people eating here must have the pallet of a baby, because this was bland and boring. Definitely not pad thai. Waste of money read more

This is a hole in the wall that you keep going back to because it's so good! Walked in with my husband and asked the person at the counter what he eats there. He suggested the pad see ew. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and the four seasons. This is what you want in a noodle dish: thick noodles (but not choke you as you eat them) drenched in savory sauce. The mung beans add a nice fresh crunch to the dish. I ordered a medium heat and it was a nice heat without sweating. My husband though ordered xxhot: his neck was sweating lol. This was my first trip into this new restaurant. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I enjoy good Thai food so I was excited to see a new option in town since we only really have 1 choice. The environment is friendly, clean and welcoming. The menu is easy to read and simple. The price is comparative to others in the market and is well worth it for the meal itself. $10 for a box of chicken drunken noodles gives you more than any other typical Thai place.. so kuddos there. However $2.00 for a spring roll seems over priced for me. I can tell that the cooks are still figuring things out. My drunken noodles came out very light in color and lacked a full drunken noodles flavor that I am used to. However the spice level was perfect and the rest of the meal was great. I see some opportunities for growth, but they are on the right track. I will be back here again for a quick take out dinner. read more

BOMB!!! That's all I have to say. I love Thai food and this place lived up to my expectations. I've now had the pad Thai with chicken and extra spicy (yes it is spicy) also, they told me there is a Thai spicy that's not on the menu if you wanna go more spicy. And I've also had the Thai fried rice with chicken, again spicy and it was so good! Will be going here a lot more often read more

I really like the curry noodles!!! Mmmmmmm. Their dinners are around $12, great value. Fast, hot thai food. They are very accommodating with adding and subtracting veggies in the entrees. If you like thai food, give them some business. Most of you will be glad you did! read more

The kang kalee (curry potato) is definitely my go to meal from Bangkok Express although, every meal I've ordered to date has been amazing. Bangkok Express is a real gem. I used to have to drive to their Ferndale, MI location to get my fix and now they are in the Flint area! I wanted to throw a party when I heard they were opening here. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! The food is every bit as good as the original location. Mae taught them well. This food is unlike the other Thai places in the Flint area in my opinion. Second review for Bangkok Express, because I tried something new, their Princess Shrimp medium hot. I always order their Thai Fried Rice, with shrimp, medium heat and some of their spring rolls. The Princess Shrimp was very good and very well seasoned, except it didn't have enough Shrimp and Vegetables, in comparison to the ratio of Sauce. It was very good and tasty. Nice and hot too ! I ate it in combination with my shrimp fried rice, instead of using the plain white rice that came with it. It was a winning combination. I also notice the amount of food you normally get when you order has shrunken. Not happy about that, so instead of five stars I'll give four. Because of quantity and not enough veggies and shrimp in the Princess Shrimp and Spring Rolls are to expensive, for their size and the amount of ingredients they put inside of them, which has gotten even less. Will most likely stop even ordering them all together, not worth the $2.00 each. Overall, I find this is the best place in Flint for Thai food, especially my favorite, the fried rice. read more
