This places was a joke. We placed $100 order with them on April 15th. The order took almost 2 hours to get to us. The products are not even close to what you would expect. The orange chicken is just sweet and sour sauce that had oranges in it. Taste just like sweet and sour chicken. But then we had an order of sweet and sour chicken and the sauce the gave us was water thin & not your typical sweet and sour. The orange chicken tasted more like sweet and sour chicken then the sweet and sour chicken did. All the meat quality was poor, over cooked, and falling apart from being so dry and over breaded. The chicken lo main was a soup by the time it made it to us due to them not draining the noodles properly. Even the fortune cookies were expired. A hole in the wall, for certain, but not the kind of "hole in the wall" gem that people whisper about and secretly go back to time and again. Nope, it's just a hole in the wall with below average Chinese food. I've eaten here a few times and years ago, it was much better compared to what it has become over the past couple of years. I had the vegetarian lo mein. It was bland and blah with almost mushy noodles. They weren't good. The dish was utterly lacking in seasoning and was one of the blandest Chinese food dishes I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend it. Beyond that, the menu hasn't changed much in years, even though I believe ownership has changed hands at least one time. I don't understand why the menu seems so dated and boring, but it is. If it has changed much, I'm not sensing it. I get the lure of having popular staples and traditional best-sellers, but it really still seems like the menu they had when I was a kid, only the prices are higher. The only thing that seems to have undergone a drastic transformation is the noticeable slip in food quality and portion size. Is it still inexpensive for quick takeout dinner? Yes, but the food quality has slipped tremendously. Back in the day, while it was still a proverbial hole in the wall even years ago, the food was actually consistent and of decent quality. I don't know what happened here. As for the ambiance, like I said, it's a "hole in the wall" and not in the good sense. We ordered food to go. Standing in the vestibule, waiting to pick up our food, we noticed the ceiling tiles. Several were damages and quite unsavory for a restaurant. It's a false ceiling, replace them! We ordered 2 boneless almond chicken and 2 shrimp cashew. We had maybe 4 pieces of cashew and the almond chicken had a very heavy gravy. Love this place. Yes it is an old place that many say is a hole in the wall. But this sorta hurts my feelings. These people are so very nice, talkative and have even gave my boyfriend and I samples of their new dishes. When I was sick even they sent home some free soup for me. Back in the day it was rumored to be not very good food. But they have much much much improved over the years. They deserve much higher rating then they have got so far. Oh this is our entire family's favorite place for Chinese food. They are friendly and fast and darn good food !!!

We ordered from them today and I ordered the orange chicken. It was so grizzly and tough that I couldn't even cut it with a fork. Thinking it was just me I had my husband try it and he said it was horrible. We go there quite often so I called to let them know so they could correct the problem and all the guy said was ok. No I'm sorry or bring it back or any solution, just ok. They just lost some customers because I'm all over social media and have a big mouth. read more

I ordered the chicken chow mein with noodles and I received a greenish colored soup with onions and chicken swimming in it and uncooked noodles on the side. I used to come here with my family at least once a week back in the 80's and 90's. My first job was as a dishwasher here. Nothing fancy to look at but tried and true Chinese food. Always good service and the dishes were as reliable as # 1,2,3,4. Almond boneless chicken for the win! Rub the Buddha belly when you pay your tab. read more

New owners again. Saw 1 adult and the rest were teenage staff. I ordered the almond chicken dinner with no lettuce & green onion and white rice. Chicken rice soup, no green onion. Wife ordered garlic chicken with won ton soup. Different server brought out our soups and mine had green onions in it. Both soups very watered down. Took way longer than usual for our dinners to come out. Mine was okay, gravy a little different. Wife's gravy was a different color and a lot of soy sauce in the rice. When we told server about how different the food was, he told us to try something different. Tables not cleaned the whole time, very poor service and food. Will not go back. Have loved their food for years, so was very disappointed this past Friday when we picked up carry out from. Prices went up and quality went way down. Used to love their egg rolls; now I believe they are using frozen egg rolls! I am hoping this was a fluke...otherwise we will have to find another place for Chinese take out! read more

Been coming here since the 90's with my family. My mom used to get us this all the time and I have never waivered. I drive from Clio all the time to get it because it's that good. From the egg rolls to the pork fried rice they do it well. Nothing over the top fancy just good food with flavor. read more
