My favorite Chinese restaurant. The Har Kow Shrimp is my go-to order. I love the lady at the take-out window. Super friendly!

Sadly after decades of consistency and loyalty I finally have to say I have taken enough abuse and unprofessionalism from this establishment to walk away. Thankfully I don't have many people to convince to bring with me, considering I couldn't really convince any of my friends or coworkers to order from here after having it the first time anyway. Let me start off by saying the owners are not Chinese, they are Vietnamese so the food is not "authentic Chinese". They will be open "if they want" on certain days, and other days just unknowingly be closed. She will randomly decide she doesn't want to make things on the menu anymore, and there are NO vegetarian items that they will make. read more

Others have commented on the lady at the drive thru window. We thought she so sweet we wanted to jump out and give her a hug. She had just had an encounter with the car in front of us, this place only accepts cash, it's their business, they can do that if they want. Other places change an up charge for credit cards., or a "discount" if using cash. They don't do either, and they tell you when you place an order on the phone, we only accept cash. The Szechuan chicken and vegetable fried rice was good, the egg roll was crispy. It was a good amount of food, and I would go back if I didn't want to drive a greater distance into Flint. Try it before you discount the little neighborhood drive thru Chinese place. You may be pleasantly surprised. read more

We had never been here before but we were both wanting Chinese and our usual place was closed. Some of the reviews said the food is awful and the lady is rude. However she was very nice to us. She even wished us a Merry Christmas. Food was done in about 15-20 mins. It all tasted good to me. I will most definitely be going here again. read more

I've been a long time resident of Flint and tried this wonderful little restaurant for the first time recently. The little elderly lady at the drive through window was very friendly and patient. I ordered the General Tso's dinner special. The wait time wasn't long at all even though I decided to go in the middle of a blizzard, what a more wonderful time to try new food, right? It was inexpensive at something around the range of $11 or so. Not bad for the amount of food that the to go box was stuffed with. It was a generous amount, enough to share with someone. The chicken was fresh and not cooked too hard. I opted for chicken fried rice which was ok, wasn't really fried brown as I'm used to getting from other restaurants. There were specs of white rice mixed in, no biggie though. Also ordered a chicken egg roll which was crispy and flavorful. Overall, the food wasn't bad and a bit fresh compared to the other restaurants in the area. I'd order again and would recommend to friends. read more

Just a little place but with great food. Seems like I've been eating here since the 1980's. Prices are very reasonable and you can call your order in ahead of time. For many years my typical order was egg rolls and various soups. It wasn't really until the pandemic that we tried other items with any regularity. But everything we've tried is great. The gung bo har (spicy shrimp) is wonderful and loaded with shrimp. The chicken broccoli has crunchy fresh broccoli and tender chicken. The egg rolls are the best. You wouldn't guess from the outside look how great the food is. Everything on the menu is delicious and we'll prepared. The people that work there are always so friendly and remember you when you come back. I can't really say I have a favorite meal but they do have some of the best almond chicken in the county. And I don't know where they get their egg rolls from or their plum and duck sauces but it's definitely a higher quality and better taste than you get at any other Asian restaurant in town. read more

Absolutely WORST experience i've ever had. sent my mom to go pick up our order. we had pepper steak and sesame chicken. when we called the lady was BLATANTLY rude and when we asked how much it was she told us to "just bring $20 cash." however, when we got it home it wasn't what we had ordered what so ever and the pepper steak was all sauce and it looked like gravy with maybe 2 little pieces of green pepper and a few chunks of steak. the sesame chicken didn't have sesame seeds and was just orange chicken. we went to take it back because it was not what we ordered and she slammed the takeout window screen in our face and told us to never call again and never come back after we just had stated our order was wrong. do not ever order from here unless you want to be disrespected by someone who does not know how to run a business. read more

Not only is this the best Chinese restaurant I've found in America, but its my favorite restaurant period. And I've tried hundreds of Chinese restaurants all over Michigan, Georgia, California, and elsewhere. Their Sweet and Sour chicken and their Mongolian chicken are my favorites. I wish that I could review their food but I didn't have the chance because the woman I spoke to when I called to place an order was rude and hung up on me. I understand she was probably busy but I was alone with 3 small children and while asking very specific questions about their menu, instead of answering she told me I had to come look at the menu because she can't tell me all the options she had a job to do. If she would have just answered that question I could have placed an order but instead Moy Kong just lost my business for good. A gem of a place for sure! They make me a lower sodium version of their chicken subgum fried rice which is still packed with flavor. I also ask for a touch of spicy heat. YUM! Today I tried something new ( Gong Bo Gai ), a delicious spicy combination of stir fried chicken, cashews, onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts, pea pods amongst other veggies in a brown sauce. This is the absolute best Chinese food in Flint for lunch or dinner. They couple that run it treat me like family every time I go in there and they have been running it since I was just a kid. Amazing food always fast and they will make you feel like your home every time you go in. 10/10 recommended to anyone who wants a quick bite to eat and a wonderful conversation to go with it.
