Thai Hot Pepper hits all the spots for me. I've had their chicken pad Thai at their hot and medium spice levels as well as their crab rangoons. The spice level is always just the way you ask for it, and the crab Rangoons stayed fresh during our study session with them. I find their prices to be very reasonable, and I like that they offer lunch and dinner portions! I've never sat inside but their take out service is very very quick and always fresh and hot. Ordered Tom Yum soup 32 oz and it was pretty good . For the price of less than $8 it hit the spot when I had a cold . I will come back . The restaurant is clean and the young lady at the counter was welcoming. I ordered egg rolls and the Pad Bai Kra Prow with beef. I asked if they had any garlic chili paste or Prik Nam Pla to which she said they only have chili flake. Big red flag for a Thai restaurant. Food comes, plastic utensils, styrofoam container, really for eat in? Let's add to the trash problem. The egg rolls were hot and crispy. My Pad Kra Prow was big chunks of beef, bell pepper, onion, and a ton of what I think were bamboo shoots julienned. The sauce was a sweet salty brown sauce. No Umami at all. Almost no Basil, not a fresh Thai chili in the whole dish. At best it was mediocre fast Chinese food. Not authentic Thai. read more

This restaurant here with the new ownership just reopened due to some car driving into the front of the store. This place hands down is the best Thai food in Grand Blanc. The fried rice has the correct texture and awesome taste. It's not bland like the other two Thai restaurants in town. I would highly advise all to try this place if you're into Thai food. read more

Literally the best thai. I drive 35 min from Lapeer because nothing close to me compares. Big portions, not just vegetables- if you get extra protein it actually has extra protein. For the price the servings are huge- the food is always hot and ready on time and served by the friendliest people. First time visit tonight with my wife. Food quality was excellent but we had to wait 10 mins for the team to finalize our order that should have been ready upon our arrival. We tried the Pad Thai and the drunken noodles as well . We also had the spring rolls, spicy wings, and crab rangoons. All of them were very tasty . The taste of my food was excellent however, the HOT flavor that I was hoping for just was not there. It might have been medium . I would hate next time to order the X-Hot offering and to be totally blown away with HEAT. May have to try this place another time. I discovered this place a few weeks ago, and have picked up take-out now six times. I would give it a full 5 stars, because the food is delicious. However, while some have been minor, there have been at least one error when it comes to my order every time except for once. I ask for chopsticks and don't get any. I order the Crab Rangoon and asked for an extra sauce (I paid for it), only to get home 15 minutes before they closed and discovered a container of crushed peanuts in my order. No sauce. None at all. I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication comes from, but everytime I come in to pay the young men working the counter are playing on their phones. I have been to hot pepper thai 3 times now. This last time was to place a large order for an office Christmas party. I went in the night before I wanted to pick up the order. The manager and cooks took the time to listen to what I wanted, and review the order twice to make sure everything was correct. I paid for the order, and the plan was to pick it up at 11:15 the next morning. Mind you, they open at 11. The staff said they would be there early to make it happen! I showed up the next morning at 11, and we loaded the food into the truck at 11:15 as requested. Our office staff loved the food. They were able to try a little bit of everything. Really good quality ingredients and cooked fresh. 4 stars in my book is a very fair rating for having had a great experience and enjoying the food at any restaurant, but what took this to 5 stars was the friendliness and accommodation of the staff. The Pad Thai Chicken is the best we have ever had from anywhere. The portions are huge and they put a lot of big pieces of chicken breast in it. It is packed with large pieces of chicken breast and the flavor is phenomenal. Don't forget to grab some of the red pepper sauce in the small containers at the counter .... it is outstanding in flavor as well. This is our new favorite place. read more

This place came highly recommended by someone because of the authenticity. There are other establishments I frequent and thought, "What could be more authentic?" I decided to give it a shot and ordered something I had been craving for a while. The portion size was smaller than what I am used to and the prices were a lot higher as well. Unfortunately, as much as I was fine with paying the higher prices for amazing food, my dish wasn't at all impressive. I'm Asian and love my Thai cuisines and this just didn't make the cut. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good like other places I've been too. Perhaps it's just the dish (pineapple fried rice) that wasn't good and other dishes would be better. Food was delicious. Unfortunately the service was severely lacking. Ordered curry to share and since one person is vegetarian, we asked for the chicken on the side. Got home and not only was there chicken in it, but they didn't give us any white rice. When we called, they said "oh we saw that chicken on the side request but were told we couldn't do it." Ok? But you couldn't tell us that? For that and the missing rice, you know what they offered? A "free" white rice during the next visit. Umm that's not free, I ALREADY paid for it once, and that's like a $1.50. You can keep your rice. Mistakes happen, that's fine. But the total lack of communication or desire to make it right makes this place trash in my book. read more
