I waited a good 10min before I was sat down in one of the chairs and waited another 10 before being serviced. That wasn't unusual nor uncommon to me. When I tell you that Fong gave the BEST foot and leg message ever during a pedicure, it's not an understatement. She was very attentive and kept up a good conversation. Also, I usually end up leaving with bleeding fingers and nails that chip within a week. From the moment I called to make an appointment at Pointe Nail Tech, they were so incredibly kind. My go-to is a shellac manicure (which is priced basically the same at all of the salons in Grosse Pointe) and I get compliments all the time on how long they last. Cyndi is humble and says that my nails just hold shellac well, but it's definitely her attention to detail that makes the difference because I've had shellac manicures from other shops that have peeled in less than a week-- at Pointe Nail Techs I usually get at least two weeks out of a shellac. The nail techs are three sisters who all are local and it's a true small-town small business. Cyndi, Clementine, and Maria are like an extended family to their clients, they are warm and welcoming and know folks by name. They are also meticulous about their cleanliness! I've never once worried about getting a pedicure or whether the tools have been sanitized, they're constantly cleaning which is hugely important in this industry. I came back for them to fix the cut however it resulted in an even worse cut. it is a horrible cut cannot be styled in anyway or curled straightened. To add insult to injury i paid and tipped a lot! I suggest a great clips cut for 20 buck. I dont need coffee i need a professional person who legitimately knows how to cut and style hair not high priced hacks ! I have photo evidence it has affected my style career relationship and esteem and mood ! eventually it will grow back in the mean time it i am very unhappy with the cut this salon and the poor service i experienced .
