When you schedule an appointment, you have a private appointment with Tonya or one of the staff. I am very conservative regarding polish color. But I have seen her provide customers with more artful nail styles. She is located on Jefferson Avenue, the edge of Grosse Pointe, a few blocks east of Detroit. Her clients are diverse. If you want to pay 98.00 for a regular pedicure and gel polish. No hot towel. The place was quite and quaint, clean. With tip 100.00 all day. Not sure but yeah! If u want a clean quaint, quite please with a $100 pedi, gel manicure this is the place for you. ! No manicure just gel. read more

Tonya, my nail tech, was very polite and professional. I love my gel manicure. She gave a great pedicure as well! Shop was organized and clean. I made an appointment online. I was very much looking forward to my pedicure. I arrived five minutes early. Upon arrival I was informed my appointment was given away. She then lied and said she tried to call and text. She could have called, texted, or emailed but rather she made me waste my time and gas. My appointment was rudely given away without notification. I give Tanya 5 stars. She was (is!) fabulous! Amazing personality & just so nice. I love her little nook salon & her attention to detail. I would give 5 stars however the pedicure only lasted about 20 hours. No swimming or roughness on the feet either. This was done for my daughter who wanted a great pedicure for first day of school but unfortunately the color was cracked by the next day. It was likely the thinness of the color (she put a ton of coats on but it just might've been bad polish). Be sure to pick a solid color so the color on your nail pops! read more

I had a great experience here! I called last minute on a Saturday and was able to book for the early afternoon. Tanya is very thorough and good at what she does. My nails look fantastic! I appreciated getting to choose between the tv or music... she even let me watch a pretty gruesome ep of SVU ;) Cash tip is appreciated, but she does take card for the service. I think the prices are on point for the hurried-up-fast service -production line....BUT this is not like that at all. Small personal and you have Tonya's undivided attention. I will go bck, be sure you have the time to allow her to spend on you. If you want a quickie job, go see one of the many "initial" named salons. This is a very small one-woman salon but she has excellent service, is friendly, and almost 30 years of experience. I really enjoy this place, she is very friendly. I had my nails done in sept 2012. then i tried around the holidays, However, it was hard to get a hold of her and she didn't call me back. After the holidays I tried again, this time I got her and was able to get in couple weeks later. I really enjoy getting my nails done at nail box. Be patient, it is one person running the place and doing the nails. And with groupons it always seem to take a while to get in because everyone wants to use their groupon at the same time. read more

I was very eager to support a local business. However, it doesn't appear that Mickey is interested in growing her business or even working to get it off the ground. I purchased a Groupon back in October and have called on three separate occasions to make an appointment for a manicure. I have not received one return phone call. I started out with a Groupon & that was 6 months ago. Love the one on one attention you get from Mickey. Her products are high quality, the shellac lasts better then with any other place I've been. She has quality not quantity so getting your first appointment can take some time. But once your there schedule out your next few. Also, her 3 pack of manicures is a terrific deal!!
