I was stoked that I could book these services on NYE - just in time to head into the new year all refreshed! I booked a 10am appointment and was able to find street parking easily. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionist and Jenna S, my aesthetician. Super clean spa with a nice layout. Jenna is an absolute doll! I absolutely love my full brows and appreciated her asking me if it was OK to leave a couple of additional hairs on my left eyebrow to match the fullness of my right brow. She did an amazing dermaplane which really helped freshen my look. To be honest, I was so relaxed during the facial that I don't remember much of the scalp treatment -- I do remember her telling me that she'd use a high frequency comb and some scalp oil, all of which was appreciated. I think if I was more awake for the scalp treatment, I may have wanted firmer pressure.. the scalp treatment has the potential to be one of those really relaxing ASMR scalp massages that are trending right now! I was very satisfied with the esthetician who did a great job listening to what I wanted and shaping my eyebrows beautifully. I will be returning to use the remaining ten visits on my wax pass. I'm glad I bought the wax pass several years ago before prices increased. I was told that the shop is working on being able to validate parking for the structure next door. Because when you feel like "My skin needs this" and then you have a long wait or no openings makes you put off treating your skin right. (or maybe its just me). Okay back to the scheduling of this appointment with Aesthetic Theory Detroit (ATD). I click on the tab to request appointment on yelp and I love that right away i was taken to a quick few questions what my concerns were along with a few other questions. Because when deciding on a facial it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what would work. I was happy that it didn't take long before i got a reply back with suggestion what facial would work based on my concerns. I got schedule for a few days later and I was on my way to having a Dermal infusion. Day of my appointment everything was smooth from the minute I walked in, I answered a few questions and then I was taken to a room where my facial started right away. It didn't take long maybe 45min total if you count the time it took me to fill out the information on the ipad, now let me tell you BEAUTY IS PAIN and this might not be for everyone but the end results is so worth. And of course consistency with your skin care regimen is a must, I saw the difference in my skin with just 1 appointment. It also helps that they take before and after pictures so you can see the progress but honestly I saw it after 1 visit. I did schedule for another one in about a month because its a PRICEY but 1's a month you can make it work because your skin will thank you. I loved how i didnt feel pressure to buy anything or like I was being given a sales pitch during my facial. 2 days after the facial I did get a few little breakout but I was told that would happen because of the treatment from the Dermal inusion. But Heather did a fabulous job and i'm looking forward to getting my skin right and the next appointment I have.
