I waited a good 10min before I was sat down in one of the chairs and waited another 10 before being serviced. That wasn't unusual nor uncommon to me. When I tell you that Fong gave the BEST foot and leg message ever during a pedicure, it's not an understatement. She was very attentive and kept up a good conversation. I really appreciate the time she took to take care of the little things I asked for. Going back for future pedicures for sure.

He made them round and i pointed that out to him and he never corrected it. I showed where he took a piece out of the acrylic with the dremel and he just filed it down more instead of filling it back in. My polish is streaky, the bright yellow for the flowers and the flowers themselves are not like the photo. I kept showing and asking for corrections and nothing. She was patient with my services, and even my indecisiveness on a color. She also didn't get an attitude when I requested that she not drill on my nails. Lastly, she was focused on ME! Not chit chatting with other nail techs or customers. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to 1) speed of service 2) they charge extra if you want more than 2 polish colors and 3) I wanted designs and nobody was there that could do it. Unfortunately, Monday was NYD, so I called on each day that week, trying to reach someone. Nobody answered each time I called, it was frustrating! By day 5, I had three nails that had chipped paint and two more that had very tiny chips in the corner of my nails. I've never had such a horrible experience with gel polish in my life. I found Deyo for Face and Body when I was looking for a makeup artist for my wedding last year and Barbara Deyo came highly recommended by both my wedding photographer and wedding planner. When I first met Barbara - I was immediately impressed by her warm, welcoming and extremely kind persona, her professionalism and unbelievable talent. After we met - I was literally hooked. Not only did I hire her and her team for my wedding, but I went to her countless times leading up to the wedding (and since then, until COVID hit) for all of her amazing services. She is incredibly talented in so many different areas. Makeup is obvious - she is a genius when it comes to makeup. I also visit her monthly for her incredible "glow facial" - which leaves my face feeling renewed, refreshed and literally glowing. She is an eyebrow expert, and I always make the trek from where I live in Ann Arbor, to Birmingham, just to get my eyebrows done. She also offers microblading, which I highly recommend! All of her services are reasonably priced, and her skills are limitless. Not only is she a wedding make-up artist, but I have also had my makeup done by Barbara for other special occasions, or just a regular night out. I also hired Barbara as a "stay through stylist" at my wedding. Instead of just doing my makeup (and my wedding party), I hired her for the entire day/night to style my photos, touch up everyone before / during / after photos and stay with me through the ceremony and into the party. This is an unbelievable service that she offers, and because of her, my wedding photos were even more beautiful! After an extremely emotional ceremony, I was in serious need of a touch up before the party and am so glad Barbara was there to fix me up and freshen my make-up. She has over 20 years' experience as a wedding photo stylist and helped style every one of my photos (including my first look). Her attention to detail is unmatched, and I am so grateful for all of her help and hard work on my wedding day. Lastly, Deyo for Face and Body is an incredibly beautiful space in downtown Birmingham. It is a private studio / salon that is so relaxing, impeccably clean and very well organized. It is half spa/salon and half gorgeous boutique with quite a large retail offering. Every time I visit, I always end up purchasing something from the boutique section. She has a beautiful selection of purses/clutches, jewelry, accessories, and of course her full line of make-up, skin care and beauty products. I use all of her skin care products at home and love the makeup. I even purchased make up kits to give to my bridesmaids as part of their gift for being in my wedding. To sum up - I HIGHLY recommend and encourage you to go to Deyo Face and Body. You will be so happy you did.
