I made my appointment today with Caitlyn C. From the jump she was calming, welcoming and professional. With it being my first time I was a scared of how the experience was going to go but Caitlyn was quick, efficient and we had talked our way through it. Tone is my Esthetician, and she is wonderful! I have never had any complaints about the services, or the spa. Tone is very funny, and she makes what could be an very uncomfortable and very private experience (Brazilian wax), a very comfortable experience. The prices are very reasonable in my opinion, and I enjoy going every 6 weeks or so for the waxing. I have very sensitive skin, and I have never had any issues after the waxing. I have referred 3 of my friends to Tone for services, and they have all reported back very positive reviews about the services and Tone as well. I can't speak to any other services that are offered (such as eyelash extensions, hair cuts, etc) outside of the waxing, but I would recommend this salon/spa for the waxing services.

She barely uses 4 strips and we are done!! In and out under 15 min. She was also able to sell me microdermabrasion facial which I had not gotten it done as such before, I think that was the reason my face is not breakout free. Throughout these years I had not noticed that on my face before so clearly something she did worked!! Definitely coming here back again for both these services. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

My esthetician was Dawn and she was so amazingly professional. It was my first time ever getting a Brazilian and I'm so happy I went here. I also happened to be on my period and warned Dawn beforehand and it did not get in the way at all. The sugaring itself is 1000x less painful than waxing. Dawn talked me through it even though the pain was bearable. I'd say a 4/10 and I would say I have a low pain tolerance. It's instinctive to tense up your muscles and expect the rip of the sugar but relaxing makes it hurt way less. I was blown away at how painless and relaxing the whole experience was. Dawn starts by cleansing with spray, drying with cornstarch/baby powder, sugars the hair, and then tops it off with tea tree oil. Despite the appointment literally being a removal of genital hair, I was so relaxed and wanted to sleep after. It's good to take an ibuprofen and exfoliate before. I will be back again. A great first time experience.

When she called me back to the room where the waxing is done, there was a nice sized chair to put my things on. On the bed thing there was a box of wipes and a paper towel so thick it feels like fabric suggesting you use it! lol I really appreciate that you get a minute to yourself to undress. Not all salons do this, they figure since your going to bare all eventually whats the difference. There is a BIG difference! First of all its just respectful, it gives you a moment to gather yourself and get comfortable (as comfortable as you can in this situation!). For the actual wax, they know what their doing. She uses hot wax so less hair grows back each time and longer strips so less passes are needed. The first wax is always the most painful, if you keep up on your appointments you need them less and less and it really stops hurting! I promise! For the first timers, THERE IS GOOD NEWS!!! They sell a numbing cream! You can get it here, but you need to use it 45 minutes before your appointment.
