Clean restaurant, great vibe with lights and music. Good service. Exceptionally flavorful carne asada.

Posting this review to highlight two things here: the consistently delicious frozen margaritas and…read morethe Camarones Tequila dish. Listen, the sauce in this dish is so good. They just need more veggies so that you can really have your way with the sauce. Skip the guac... it needs more avocado and flavor. The Tamal de Elote is also very yummy. Ate it too fast, forgot to take a pic. The service is great, there are plenty of waitstaff floating around. The parking lot can get crowded but there's plenty of parking across the street if needed. Ambiance is fun. It's super loud in the restaurant, partially because of the plethora of Happy Birthday performances with the instruments and all. Honestly, just join in the singing and clapping. Why not.

Decided to come to Chidos for HH since I had a class in the area…read more HH is from 1-6pm and since I had a late day at the office, I was pressed for time. I looked at the menu ahead of time and my homegirl sent me pictures to confirm. This way I already knew what I wanted (flautas & passionfruit margs) I came in, sat down and waited for a bartender to acknowledge our look my way so I could order. I was able to get my order in just in time and informed them I'd need a refill before it was over. My flautas came out as two taquitos cut in half and I just laughed. Barely any lettuce piled on top with sour cream and salsa on the side. Really, two tortillas rolled around chicken and cheese. It was hilarious. It was just barely much food at all and I didn't want to try anything else so just asked for my refill. Check came and got charged full price. When I asked about it, I was given a smart response and told they wouldn't take it off again like they were doing me a favor or I was trying to get over SMH They're lucky that passionfruit marg was hitting or it would have been challenging to go back.

Great company that keeps you laughing & delicious Mexican food!! What more can you ask for :)))…read more Met this gorgeous beauty for dinner and margaritas. I was so excited to try this spot! Authentic Mexican food, delicious and full of flavor!! One thing that really irks me, is Mexican food, with no flavor!!! LIKE HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE... Anyhoo this place, hidden in a shopping center... I would've never thought to check this place out, but thanks to good ol Yelp & this baddie foodie I've come to know......Here we go!! The chips were served warm with delicious tomato salsa. The guacamole was served fresh and very tasty!! My shrimp enchiladas were yummy! Rice and beans were seasoned perfectly...my company opt for a little bit of everything...chicken tacos, a chicken quesadilla and chicken enchilada. This combo option came with rice and she added a side of beans. And how can I forget the best part! Margaritas. I decided to keep it simple...regular margarita on the rocks with a sugar rim. All in all, 10/10 experience for me...I would definitely come back here to try some other things... It was a slow Wednesday evening. Our server was attentive and helpful... The restaurant was clean... Thanks Nessa for putting me on!!! Where we going next!!!! ;))) Happy Yelping!

We planned to take his boat and eat on the water but I was tired from playing golf. I asked for good comfort food that didn't require the water ride. Since I'm Latina the honey said he knew of a place but closer to my home. It was an easy YES, let's take the drive honey! Service was good! Luckily it wasn't packed. Parking was easy! This place reminded me of a place you'd find in Texas. Definitely was smiling the way in and way out! Let's get into it! Flautas - So delicious! Yes, yes, and more yes! Chicken Enchilada - I had to get one to taste, the honey liked it more than his fajitas. Fajitas - You can't really mess this up. Margaritas - SOOOOO GOOD! We should have gotten the small ones. Overall cute little restaurant in the cut and so worth the drive! Yes, yes, and more YES! I'll be back!

It's a hole in the wall! But hole in the walls are sometimes gems! I was the only female customer at 6ish. Quite a few men in the restaurant. The ladies working there are super nice, and attentive. Let's Get Into It! Cheese Enchilada - Met expectations. The chili sauce is not spicy and they made that enchilada cheesy! Fajitas- Met expectations. I have had better fajitas honestly but these weren't bad. Price point: Very Inexpensive for the amount of food! Overall, the place is decent. It has a El Salvadoran menu and Mexican menu, which for me I'm not a fan of. The Mexican dishes were okay but their tortillas were more thick and El Salvadoran style. I wouldn't return as the food was just okay for my liking. There were loud men singing at the top of their lungs like they were on the Latin Voice and that was off putting. I get it, they are having fun, but it wasn't karaoke night and was disturbing. I left after two songs of the man singing, thankfully I was already done. Definitely worth a try though for others.

I've worked a mile away for six years and this is the first time I've set foot in here…read more My coworkers and I had a meeting to attend and decided to stop here before going back to work. The place was pretty empty, and I think there was only one waitress working. Our server quickly brought us lunch menus. The items on the menu are extremely affordable lunch prices. I had three cheese enchiladas for $6.95. I ordered the cheaper version without the rice and beans. My coworkers all ordered different item. Two of them had chicken quesadillas and they were huge. Four sections, unlike some places that take a large tortilla and fold it in half. When the bill came I was charged incorrectly (I think the price for rice and beans). The server didn't know how to change it, but I planned to leave $10 for tax and tip (more than 20%), so that is what I did. The quesadilla two were charged $10 instead of $8, but that may have been because they had grilled instead of pulled chicken. I recommend this place for a cheap and tasty lunch. Just check your bill before you pay.

The Only Review You Need To Read…read more We decided to experiment with a new place to go for Mexican food today. There appeared to be a lot of businesses geared towards the Hispanic crowd along Kenilworth Avenue, so we stopped off at what looked like a good sized restaurant in a little strip plaza next to an international grocery store. We walked in the entrance, past the old cash register and TouchTunes digital jukebox and we were seated at a booth; socially distant from the couple of other patrons. Menus, chips & salsa and drinks were delivered quickly, then we placed our orders. Let's talk about the food (or at least what I ordered). The chips & salsa were good, though my daughter was quick to point out that the chips & salsa at another restaurant (the one with a red pepper as their logo) are better because the chips are served warm. They were out of soup which came with my entree, so I opted for a salad which....was fine at first, but it was wet. Dripping wet. So wet that as I got to the bottom of my salad, there was a small puddle of water in my plate. Plus it wasn't really leafy salad; it was shredded lettuce. Now the main course - the Del-Rio (cheese enchiladas with a hard taco, a pile of cooked ground beef, beans and rice. Some of the other reviews pointed out that they are generous with the cheese at this place, and I thought, "You say that like it's a bad thing - bring it on!" And they did; they were probably the cheesiest cheese enchiladas I've ever had, and that's not a complaint. My girlfriend couldn't handle the amount of cheese on her chili rellenos, but I had no problem with it. I would have preferred chicken enchiladas underneath all of that craziness, but I didn't see that on their menu (though I probably could have asked for it). Overall, the enchiladas were fine, rice & beans were fine, the taco fell apart after my first bite, but I shoveled it down and it was fine, and the ground beef was fine. I walked out of there fully stuffed and my appetite completely satiated. Everyone at my table was in agreement - the food was fine, but the experience was not enough to warrant a drive all the way back down there again specifically just to eat there. Mind you; we lived in Los Angeles for decades, so the bar is set pretty high for us as far as Mexican cuisine goes. However, this place has been in business (supposedly) for well over 60 years, so apparently they must be doing something right.
