Tacos de lengua Tacos al pastor

I really wanted to give this place five stars but unfortunately that's not happening. I ordered two things I ordered pupusas revueltas, tacos de carne asada y tacos de lengua. tacos de carne asada y tacos de lenguathe reason why I'm giving it two stars isn't because of the food per se but let's get to it. The onions and cilantro on the tacos, looked and tasted old. They didn't look like they were fresh. If you cut onions before and then put them in the refrigerator, you know exactly what I mean. Secondly, the. Tacos de lengua we're not only cut to big, but they didn't necessarily clean them properly (if you have ever prepared Cal tongue, you absolutely understand what I'm saying) The pupusa's were serviceable, but overall all the food needed a little bit of salt. Did I mention that the green hot sauce look and tasted old. It seems like these guys prepare for an extensive amount of time weeks, per se, and let things sit. We will see how I feel in 24 hours. I think the icing on the cake is when my food was brought out in paper plates. That left a sour taste in my mouth because if I'm paying to sit down at a restaurant, I would at the very minimum expect a tray or a plate like you would, at any of these other restaurants. I think I put it all together since I close this place down and I left at 9:10 PM and the cashier along with the Koch left at 9:12 PM. Something about that doesn't sit right with me. At the end of the day, it feels like the food that is made here is made with no love. It is quite serviceable as in you will eat. It will get full and go home, but you can definitely tell that no one is putting their foot in this food, unfortunately

The location is much to be desired and the decorations are definitely an afterthought. The music is a bit loud for it's size. The food was hot but lacked salt and seasoning for the pico de gallo and beans. The service was good but minimal since you have to order your food and pay before it's served. Paying by card has an extra charge. Tastes like food truck food and not in a good way versus restaurant food.

This place use to be alot better . I got the nachos today and they didn't taste anywhere near as good as they use to . The guacamole looked and tastes pretty old .I will attach a oic so you guys can see . If that wasnt bad enough I ordered a inca cola and I pooped the top off and it smelled like poo ... I drink these sodas alot so I know what its suppose to smell/ taste like . I told them about the smell of the soda and they said they know it stinks but they dont know why and they is nothin they could do . They would not replace the soda for me or give me a refund so i just left it there and walked out . I didnt want to make a big scene over a soda . I just figured I would write a review to let ppl know and hopefully management see's this review and it stops this type of stuff from happening to someone else in the future . You guys Definitely have to Do better !

It had been 12 years since my last visit, and over a decade later--this place did not disappoint…read more On our way out to enjoy the weather, I stopped in with my cousins and we ate very well. We shared the corn, which was perfectly sweet and tangy, ordered three lemonades, and tried a handful of tacos. The taco de lengua was tender and moist without being fatty, the barbacoa was savory with just the right hint of sweetness, and the carne asada was hearty, meaty, and full of flavor. We wrapped things up with a flan that was creamy and custardy--exactly how it should be. The packed parking lot says it all about this place's popularity. Don't miss out.

There are definitely a variety of taco choices. I haven't been unsatisfied yet. There is a small eating area inside away from the bottleneck area where people order and pick up their food but I don't think I'd ever want to eat inside since it's way too busy and the ambiance would be too hectic for me to deal with. There are other choices of sides or extras like maíz loco (corn on the cob with a variety of toppings like mayo, catsup, crumbled cheese, tajín...your choices), dried pork rinds, chicharrón (chewier and crispy version of the pork rinds), atole (hot, masa-based beverage made from corn dough, water or milk, sweetened with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla). There are quick desserts to go too. I would highly recommend ordering ahead so you can get in and out or figuring out the less congested times. I've come during the dinner rush hours time but hadn't been planning on getting it ahead of time. I definitely recommend this place and will continue to come back.

We were sat right away and I was surprised at how big the restaurant is (way bigger than it looks from the outside!). I started with a hibiscus margarita, which was delicious. Then we ordered a few things to split, including: guac and tostadas, charred cabbage, gorditas with chorizo, aguachile negro, and the beef short rib platter. The charred cabbage was the biggest sleeper hit. It was so flavorful and unlike anything I've ever had before. Everything else was delicious, although the aguachile was probably my least favorite of what we tried. We finished with the rose water tres leches and the dulce de leche crepes. The tres leches were pretty good but the crepes were amazing. I don't usually love dulce de leche, but it was definitely a standout.

If you are planning to visit during popular dining hours, it might be worth it to make a reservation. We arrived during a weekend around 5:30 pm, and the place was somewhat empty. However, by 6-6:15 pm, the place was PACKED. I was a very surprised (in a good way) that the menu was a bit smaller compared to other Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I necessarily do not think the smaller menu is a bad thing because, with a smaller menu, a restaurant can focus on preparing everything well (i.e., it's easier to do a good job with 20-item menu versus a 50+-item menu). For my dining pleasure, I went with the enchiladas suizas with a few margaritas. Overall, I thought my plate was very delicious; however, other diners at my table and I noticed that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Perhaps, the restaurant uses higher quality ingredients for its dishes. Although the margarita sizes might appear to be small, they definitely are not "small" in power/punch, so the $13-$18 price range is appropriate. My favorite margarita of the night definitely was the El Jardinero, which was a wonderful mix of carrot, cilantro, peach, lime and a semi-spicy pepper of sorts. Collectively, we all thought the service was exceptional because our waitress constantly visited the table. Personally, I thought it was a bit overkill, but that's a very, very minor complaint based on my very, very personal preference.
