Service: 5 stars Food quality: 3.5 stars (I enjoyed the skirt steak and a friend loved the duck tacos) Good for groups: yes

Stopped by Mi Dia and ordered the lunch special with enchiladas and flautas -- absolutely delicious. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. The enchiladas were rich and satisfying, and the flautas had the perfect crispy bite. The mango agua fresca was a standout -- super refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Great food, great experience. Definitely coming back.

Lunch specials are decent price deals, but you get what you paid for. Lunch Tex-Mex quesadilla was mid--soft with very little meat inside and simply nothing special to it. The lunch two enchiladas and a beef taco combo was also just okay. I really enjoyed the rice and beans with it, but the beef taco was like a crispy beef taco from Taco Bell and chicken enchilada was drowning in sour cream (though the chicken was very tender and well seasoned). Highlights of this restaurant were the tableside guacamole ($18) and free chips & salsa. It's a fun experience to watch them make the guac at your table, and it's a big portion plus with bacon. The salsa with the fresh tortilla chips were super good (and lowkey spicy). They let you take a bag home too with instructions on how to warm them up, which is really nice.

I met a sweet friend at Mi Dia from Scratch for lunch, and oh my! I had the lunch fajitas - they are now my new favorite place for fajitas! Homemade tortillas - excellent. Grilled chicken for the fajitas - delicious and tender. Grilled ones and jalapeño - grilled to my liking. Everything was fresh, tasty, and as I wrote this I am craving their fajitas already. Our server was attentive, made sure our drinks were always filled, he checked in us often, and followed up with asking if we need to-go containers or drinks. Excellent service! The interior of this restaurant is elegant, and yet, not stuffy. It has a unique design with the bar in the middle and secluded booths built all around it. There are cozy tables in the back, and a really nice outside seating area. It was hit so I didn't choose outside seating, but come cooler weather and I'm there!

Was seated right away with my boss on a Monday night. Place was very busy. We received good service, but I was expecting a little more from the food. The tortillas didn't taste homemade. The chips were a bit stale also. The shrimp was delicious though!

This restaurant is very nice. We walked into an upscale beautiful decor restaurant. It was around lunch time so it was pretty crowded. We were quickly seated in a booth and were brought salsa and chips. Half green and half red salsas in the same bowl. They were both very good. We ordered the guacamole in the mocajete and it was amazing. My daughter in law ordered the fish tacos and I had the fajita chimichanga. Our waiter was so nice and accommodating! Overall this was an awesome experience and I can't wait to come back!

Mi Dia has drinks great and their table side guac is at the top of my favorites list, but the menu has a section of what would be great dishes but they are soo spicy! I like flavor but not spice that is overwhelming. I've taken several friends there and they always love it. It's more of a personal preference.

Popular busy place, might have a little wait time. Great atmosphere for drinks and food. Service could have be a little smoother. Felt rushed. The carne asada was excellent, the rice was ok, and the beans definitely will have a kick. The Juanita gives you great tasting options. Skip the refried beans not tasty. Table side guac was excellent, your choice on spice level. The flan was a lite and tasty options. The ice creams also had great flavors.

We are big fans! Being from New Mexico, living in Texas has been hard for us when it comes to New Mexican food. Mi Dia comes through with red and green chile enchiladas (ox eyes enchiladas on the menu) and other items that taste like home! This location is usually pretty busy, especially during peak hours, but the wait has never been too much of a deterrent. The staff is always friendly and efficient, attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant had lovely indoor and outdoor tables, with heaters and fans outside to help patrons deal with the Texas weather. Standouts, for us, are from the Santa Fe items section on the menu -- aforementioned Ox Eyes enchiladas of course! The guiso is great...rich and flavorful! You can't go wrong with flautas or a tampiquena steak! Tamales are substantial with enough filling! And the sopes are also very yummy! The chips and salsa are also really tasty, and their cocktails are lovely! They also have a solid beer selection. There's something for everyone!

Good job Mi Dia (Grapevine) We went on Sunday for brunch (or lunch) and the cocktails were really well made and the food was delicious. Service good.

Very nice upscale Mexican restaurant just south of downtown Grapevine. Busy on a Wednesday night but we only waited about 20 min. for a table. The margaritas were tasty and the service was friendly and paced well. Enjoyed their version of queso flameado with flavorful chorizo and salsas that were varied in both taste and heat levels. Baja Shrimp tacos were delicious, and the charro beans were excellent. Highly recommend!

Had dinner here last night and it was really good. The salsa they give you upon arrival is amazing. Like you want to just drink it. I love that the chips are large. Maybe my waist line not soo much. The food was season to taste and not salty. The shrimp and fish were good quality and a decent size shrimp. We walked right in and didn't have to wait. The and bacon to the guac which I've never had but it was good. The restaurant is a decent size with different alcoves. I would definitely eat here again. I was able to walk here from Hotel vin.

Any port in a storm, as they say. We have tried to like this place but just can't. The HVAC on the roof was thumping and rattling, making the whole ceiling of the dining area thump and shake. The lights were shaking as was our table. The salsa that came with the chips was really off, watered down and tasteless. I asked for a spicier one, which was a little more flavorful but also watered down. When our nachos came out, we were greeted by a pile of chips heavily coated in mostly melted, not great, probably fake, cheddar cheese. There was a layer of refried beans and grilled chicken underneath. The beans weren't bad, but the chicken was super salty. Very heavily seasoned with what is probably the same seasoning they put on their chips - some sort of seasoned salt concoction. My woman reported her margarita to be "super mix-y." My beer was cold, though. Like I said, this place just isn't too our taste but it seems to be great for others. And that's fine. If you come here just try not to sit directly under the thumping HVAC vent. I don't know how long it will hold. 02.23.25

I am going to say they were respectable. Not the best I have had, but way better than a lot I have had. Would I get them again? Probably, but there are a lot of other things I would try on the menu before getting them again. Being my coworker's birthday, we ordered a Chocolate Piñata for dessert. It was a fun experience to have people at the table take a swing at it, until out came Churros, and Fresh Fruit. There was an array of sauces to dip the Fruit and Churros in. Mesa's is just a few minutes drive from Gaylord so it is super convenient. The ambience is pleasant and open and in general it was fine. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seats and parking outside. I did not get a "homey" feel but that may be just me. Our server was attentive and efficient. No problems or complaints. The free chips and salsa were good but not outstanding. The salsa was warm and obviously homemade, but it lacked kick. It was tasty but not "OMG this is good." I started with a cup of Roberto's queso which is the standard queso cheese with some ground beef, pico, and a tablespoon of guacamole. It too was good but not outstanding. I am not sure what it was missing but there was something that was needed. I had the two beef tacos and they were just average. Not much flavor or anything distinctive. The ground beef was not well seasoned so they were kind of bland. The rice and black beans were also kind of bland. Frankly, my tacos at home are better. The wife had the taco salad and liked it, although it did not come with any dressing. She used the salsa. Not sure if that was an oversight or that is the way the salad is served. She was also happy that they serve Negro Modelo on tap, so she was happy. The kid had nachos with black beans and cheese and did not complain. Such was the case recently when we paid a visit to Mesa. The first order of business was getting an appetizer to go with the chips and salsa. Upon the server's recommendation we got the queso Blanco. It was quite possibly the blandest queso I have ever eaten. At this point I started to worry that it was a sign of things to come. However, the extra spicy salsa that we also requested to go with the chips was more flavorful and gave me hope for the entrees. The good news is that my chicken and cheese enchiladas turned out to be better than the insipid appetizer. The not so good news is that it was still a mediocre meal. The rest of my family had mixed feelings about their food. My husband, who got 2 beef enchiladas, said his were overly salty but otherwise average. The bacon wrapped shrimp that my mother got were a little overcooked but she liked the sides. Both of my sons' entrees, the Mesa burrito and the chicken strips, were very well received. People like to say that even when pizza is bad it's still good. For me, that also applies to Tex-Mex. But, considering the plethora options out there, I doubt I will be returning anytime soon.

Yet, for the longest time, Baja Mex Grill did just that by serving the strongest margaritas in town. In fact, I had always heard that there was a limit of 2 per person. Although it may have only been a rumor, it was a good policy nonetheless (I speak from experience!) Even if margaritas weren't your thing, the food still held it's own. Basically, you couldn't go wrong with a visit here no matter your preferences. I don't know exactly when or how many times the ownership changed over the years, but apart from the name, nothing about this place is the same today. It was immediately evident upon being served chips and queso that both seemed like they came straight from a package. The extra hot salsa we requested turned out to be a creamy, green concoction that had a jalapeno-y flavor, but somehow still wasn't spicy. I will give them credit, however, for a very tasty regular salsa that appeared to be made in house. For my entree I ordered the Picante Enchiladas. Contrary to what the name implies there was no detectable heat. Furthermore, the grilled chicken on top had the distinct flavor of a frozen version made by Kroger. Once again, that prepackaged element reared it's ugly head. My husband and sons were mostly underwhelmed by their meals as well. The phrase "I've had better" was echoed around the table. And, they aren't normally a picky bunch! Our server brought everything out quickly, checked on us often, and kept our drinks topped up throughout our meal. So kudos to him! I have said this before, but it bears repeating. The Tex Mex arena is far too competitive for mediocre food like they serve here.
