I love Mi Dia, the food there is so delicious! The staff is nice and it is definitely one of the fancier places you can go to for Mexican food. Great place for a date. There are so many good looking options on the menu that I'll need to go multiple time just to try them out. Just an fyi but their chips and salsa are amazing so be careful not to overdo it! The carne asada was great! Devoured it and each bite was just buttery and savory. Also had the churros at the end. They were a great item to share. I had the blueberry habanero margarita, it was delicious starts off sweet and then you taste the spicy. It was spicy though and I handle heat pretty well! For dinner I had the steak and relleno, the texture of the steak was similar to a filet not chewy minimum fat and it had amazing flavor. This dish was huge, I brought home over half my steak. This is the first time we have had a bad experience here. When we got there, the waitress we were supposed to have gave our table to a different waiter. Then, we got a bowl of queso instead of a cup. After that, flour tortillas came out, and they were not homemade. My husband asked the waitress about them in Spanish. She basically told my husband, "Do you really think we would switch out homemade for store bought? My told her he just knows homemade tortillas from store bought as he is Hispanic. She came back in a couple of minutes and said they were store bought. Our waiter only came to our table twice. When we asked for our check and chips and salsa to go, he took 10 minutes to come back as we saw him going around the restaurant, talking to other servers. So disappointed! read more

We ate dinner at the Grapevine location on Friday, 4/24/26. There were four of us and the two diners who ordered the Chicken Queadillas and the New Mexico Tampiquena said their meals were very flavorable and tasted fresh. My husband and I split the entree feature of Waygu fajitas. The flavor was good, but the Waygu steak was so tough that you could not bite through it. When I tried to take a bite, the entire piece of steak came out of the fajita in one whole strip. My husband had the same experience. Waygu is supposed to be so tender that it melts in your mouth. That has been our experience with other restaurants. We were very disappointed. I also was disappointed with the food presentation. Our plate looked pretty with two large bulb green onions, but they took up 1/3 of our plate yet were unedible. My other complaint is that the El Jefe margaritas were $18.00 each. Way too expensive for an average tasting drink. The check was split 50/50 between the two couples, but our waiter had to reprint the receipt 3 times before he had a correct receipt for each couple. I had been to the restaurant for lunch one time and it was OK. Based on this last experience, I don't believe we will be returning. read more

What a treat! This is def a hot spot in the hustle and bustle of the Dallas Metroplex. Upscale Mexican/American fusion made from scratch (hence the name). From the time we walked in, to the time we walked out, it was a great dining experience. Our waiter, Dayton, was exceptional with his vast knowledge of the menu, his recommendations and his pleasant demeanor. After looking over their very unique menu, we decided to have the Duck Carnitas Tacos. It is hard to describe the moistness, and deliciousness that the tacos had. It came with Spanish Rice and refried beans which were also great. Our daughter had the Huevos Rancheros which is her go-to at Mi Dias. Our SIL had the Chicken Fajitas. Everything was amazing. I just love Mi Dia from Scratch! It's hard to say if I prefer to get my drink put down in front of me first or the chips and spicy delicious salsa! Their cocktails are amazing! Hell Freezes Over is my absolute favorite...I could literally sit and drink a gallon of it! She asked us if we wanted mild, medium or hot, and also checked through a list of options ranging from tomatoes to bacon. A few minutes later, she returned with molcajete filled with delicious made-to-order guacamole. My favorite dish is the wood-smoked skirt steak topped with a cheese chile relleno. Order medium rare for the best experience. There's a margarita for everyone, including one with hatch-infused tequila that has a nice spiciness. Tex-mex cuisine that appears to be marketed toward upper middle class tastes (which normally is a trap for truly good Mexican fare) was an unexpected and welcome surprise, and achieves blue collar gas-station style Tex-mex greatness. The ceviche app was spicy and wicked good! My ill-refined and unsophisticated tastes always benchmark Mexican restaurants based on the quality of the chile relleno. That simple recipe at Mi Dia excelled beyond measure. When added to one of their signature steak dishes... well, this higher-end Mexican bistro achieves true Mexican "hole-in-the-wall" greatness - don't let the upscale location and clientele fool you - the authenticity of this joint's menu is top notch! Frankly, I'd love to see this place offer a "Lunch Truck" menu to we working class stiffs who infrequently patronize "high-faluting" restaurants. Mi Dia is that good. The wait staff's recommendations, their knowledge of the menu, and non-judgmental approach to educate patrons on their tequila selection was so appreciated. I'm not sure why it's taken me over a decade to write a review for Mi Dia. I have been here countless times. They have incredible fresh margaritas, frozen and on the rocks. My typical is the frozen with a grand marnier meltdown. We always enjoy the table side guacamole with the chips and salsa. For years I have ordered the mi Dia salad with glazed chicken. However, last night I ordered the banana leaf wrapped salmon. Oh my Lanta, I will be getting this from now on. It was amazing! The Carne Asada and the steak with relleno are always top hits for one of my best friends and my husband. We love the vibe at Mi Dia. Went on Tuesday afternoon at 6pm and it was pretty busy. Patio seating was available but I chose to wait 20 minutes for a table inside. I would recommend making a reservation. Service was good, even though it was busy food came out fast. Food was excellent, I had the chicken flautas without the chile sauce because I don't eat spicy. The flautas had a generous amount of chicken and were nice and crunchy. The churros were amazing, crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside. It was incredible and fed our group of 6 well. The chips come with a house salsa that definitely has a kick - so be mindful of what you order that might have a high spice level. I recently moved from out of State. This is by far the Best Mexican food I've had in years, me being a native of Mexico City. The first time I visited, I ordered the " Queso Fundido " for an appetizer. Both my waitress and another waiter carved the " large " portion of it and made 5 tacos out of it. It was delicious. I visited a second time a week later and ordered the steak fajitas. Out of the park! Grand Slam! On my third visit, I ordered the queso fundido again for take out, since it was a meal for itself being part of the appetizer menu. When I got home and opened my meal, I was extremely disappointed that the portion given to me was way substantially far less than my first time. I was barely only able to make 2 tacos. I felt that I was ripped off for the $15 cost. I will return again but will definitely speak to a Manager on Duty if I run into this situation again. read more

I will start with the pros - great miche, great service, great ambiance, and great tableside guac! The guacamole is made literally as said "table side". A man with a cart asks what ingredients and the spice level you would like. Then mashes it beside you. Chef kiss I love fresh guacamole. The miche isn't on the menu but the bar tender said he could do it. And it was perfect. Perfect spice level too. (If you're not familiar is basically a spicy bloody Mary with a beer on the side to pour with it). Now the cons. The food is basic in flavor at best. The rice and beans are bland. You could find similar at surrounding Mexican theme restaurants. I believe I had the tacos with pork meat. The pork has no flavor. No seasoning. If it wasn't for the salsa and side of cheese I ordered, it would have mostly been mush. The blue corn torillas and pickled cabbage were a nice touch tho! I will say I'm originally from Chicago.
