Sitting on the patio, by the river side - was great! Our service was adequate and limited. We had to ask a few times for some of our requests. The food was good. The soft serve margaritas, which we saw online and assumed they were more ice cream like, were a thickened regular margarita. This might have been mentioned or is what it's advertised as so, no big deal - but we thought it would be more dessert/creamy because of the soft serve portion! I had the raspberry flavor which was good.

Such a great experience, we went two days in a row! Honestly, I could have just had the fresh made from scratch guacamole daily. The presentation of the food and drinks yells celebration in every way. I saw everything from margaritas in IV bag, a 3ft fork, sparklers going off on elaborate drinks, and a happy birthday song that I didn't know if it would ever end. Literally, this place is a giant party! The service was fantastic, the staff was accommodating, and everyone just seemed to really enjoy working there. Even on the busy Valentine's Day weekend, the staff was working hard to please. Highly recommend the ribeye tacos, the queso there is delicious, and be prepared to spend on some over sized drinks. They have non-alcoholic beverages as well. Overall, just a fun place to enjoy and will certainly keep fighting any crowd for a table here.

This place is wild Sparklers in your drinks Dried ice and fun music The decorations are beautiful bright colors all over Margaritas are a party in a glass the food was fabulous for the whole table We all were happy The one negative the tables are so close you feel a little suffocated

I was so excited to finally try this place since they are opening one up near my house. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. I do with the had more covering on their patio. The food is your standard American Mexican fair. Nothing mind blowing. The menu was way too big. It needs to be paired down. The menus we got were also sticky and falling apart. The service is not great. No one was very friendly. The food came fast. It's also wildly expensive for what it is. I can't come here very often because a normal plate of enchiladas is $20 and I can get that elsewhere for way less. We came for the soft serve margaritas and they were good but too big. I should have shared the one I got. Will I go again? Maybe down the road but not anytime soon.

Mi Cozumel has to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. I typically go to the one on Vandercar but I decided to go to the Newport one on this trip. I definitely like my original location better due to the larger size and lively atmosphere. Even though it was very crowded we were seated immediately on a Sat evening. This location served up fresh, quick, hot food which I enjoyed. They had the soft serve margarita, delicious. However everyone is packed in the right space and oddly was very uncomfortable in the chair. Due to the space being tight and crowded, all the noises were amplified. This place is overestimating to me, hence the 4 stars for atmosphere kept it from being 5 stars. However, I will always return to Mi Cozumel!

Came here for a birthday dinner a few weeks back, great environment for that. They really go all out for birthday celebrations. Despite the fact the restaurant was jammed our server Guillermo was very friendly, and everything came out correct. Food came out at a reasonable pace even with how crowded it was. Had the pizza birria which was delicious. Only critique is that my drink was mostly juice; had the iv margarita which did look cool but I think was overpriced at $25. Would probably avoid the gimmicky drinks but otherwise great experience! Other thing to note, they don't take reservations so be prepared to wait for a bit especially with a large group.

This is a really fun and cool environment. I love celebratory environments but the 20 birthday celebrations with loud horns and drums inside was a bit much. We really enjoyed our main courses, but some of it came out cold and the prices for drinks seemed gimmicky

This place is cool! I thought it might be someplace that does crazy gimmick drinks with not so great food. But the food was wonderful as well!! I loved the street tacos and the wife got the ramen ( at a Mexican place) ?? But she liked it and the corn was delicious!! The service was fine. Nothing great nothing bad. Will definitely go back and try some other items.

They tried to kill my friend. She told them that she had a shell fish allergy and they still put lobster on her quesadilla.

If you ever get a chance to check out some of the events that happen here, I highly recommend it - They are always so much fun! I like that they are intimate and never feel too crowded to have a good time. The bartenders are always fun and engaging, and I never feel like the people are too much. This is a great place to try different bourbons before you go out in the store and buy them!

I have worked in the service industry since I was 15 years old (I am now 34) and I have never had…read moresuch a sour experience before. I stopped at party source to get a 6 pack of my favorite drinks, and was like "hey I'll go get a drink from the bar since for once I don't have all 3 of my kids". I walked into Merchant's Club and sat down at the bar by myself (there was a couple to my left and then a single man to my right, they were not busy at all) Neither bar tender gave me the time of day, even after I said hi when I was sitting down. Finally the tall guy bartender with bleached hair asked me what he could get me (he seemed annoyed that I interrupted him cleaning beer glasses and shot glasses), and I said "can I please get a pickle back?" He said, "we don't have pickle juice." I said "okay that's fine, do you have olive juice?" He said, "yes", and I said, "okay that's fine I will take olive juice in place of pickle juice." He then proceeded to give me a shot of olive juice and went back to cleaning his glasses. I said, kindly, "and the Jameson?" And he responded, "Well you didn't say that." To which I responded "That's what a pickle back is, Jameson with a shot of pickle juice." This entire encounter, I kid you not, was 5 minutes to under 10 mins. I don't care that someone doesn't know what a pickle back is. That's the least concerning thing. The worst part was the aura and vibe both of the bartenders gave me from the minute I walked in to the minute I left. Zero personality (besides seeming like they both hated their jobs) zero consideration, ZERO customer service skills. I know sometimes people are having a bad day. I get it. BUT when you work in the service industry, it's not an excuse. If you're in such a bad mood that you're not going to be able to do your job, which is literally #1 just be kind and hospitable to people, then call off. After he gave me the Jameson and I took my shot he almost immediately said, "will that be all" and I said, "yes please", paid, and walked out. The first employee I saw I walked up to and asked "do you work directly with the bartenders at all?" He said, "No, but what's going on?" I just told him how awful of a 5-10 min interaction I had and that if they act like that to everyone, it's going to severely hurt their business. He apologized over and over and I told him not to apologize, it's not his fault, and to just please relay my complaint to someone that works directly with those bartenders. The worker right outside of the bar was very kind and receptive. I didn't catch the names of the 2 bartenders working when I was there but here's a brief description: the male was white, pretty tall, bleached hair, skinny. The girl was also white with brown hair, medium length, and came up to the guy bartender's shoulder (maybe) in regard to height. I was there on Friday, 9/18 just before 9pm.

Despite having such a large group, drinks were out fast and there was plenty of seating. 2 things stick out here: Decor and the Drinks. Both were impeccably done. The nature meets wood and brick aesthetic is so purposefully laid out and when the eye cruises across the landscape it's so satisfying!! We had a LOT of drinks, but the jade river, el toro rojo, and pacific muse were our favorites. The drinks are priced pretty well ($12-$14) and the service was very prompt, always cleaning up empty glasses and clearing space for more people to sit. I for SURE recommend this place as a spot to come and throw a couple rounds back. We stayed for hours and drank and talked our hearts out! Thank you for such a wonderful night. 5 stars.

We're eager…read moreto find a top-tier burger place in the area, though unfortunately this fell a little short of our expectations. Decided to split the Silver Charm for an appetizer, and it came about ten minutes later. The onion rings were decent, good flavor and somewhat crispy. The accompanying sauces of barbecue and ranch were both good as well, though both were missing something to elevate them a bit more I think. The flavor was good, but quite a small portion for $10. My wife ordered the Strike the Gold Burger and I went for the Northern Dancer Crispy Chicken. The sandwiches came out about ten minutes after we finished the Silver Charm, which was perfect timing. She liked her burger pretty well, and I took a bite too. The "caramelized onions" were definitely more sauteed, with still a bit of crunch, and otherwise I could really only taste the barbecue sauce, which was tasty, but I would have liked some more varied flavors. My chicken sandwich was... a bit disappointing. Rather than a chicken piece that appropriately fit the bun, it was more of a chicken strip, with bites that would only yield bun. In addition, because the chicken piece was so small, it was also extremely dry, which is a bummer because I actually thought the breading was very tasty. The chipotle aioli was decent, but didn't pack as much spice or flavor as I was hoping. And with only two toppings and a sauce on the whole sandwich, I was disappointed that the tomato was rather mushy and didn't seem fresh. I will say the fries that came with our sandwiches were crisp and well seasoned, and somewhat unfortunately the best part of my meal. Based on our experience, I didn't hate our dinner here and if someone invited me to meet them here, I wouldn't say no, but I'm also not going out of my way to revisit.
