Amazing food! We went in short notice on a beautiful Saturday night. We came in with 6 when everyone else in town wouldn't seat 6 on this day. Drinks amazing. Food amazing! We had a 5 and 3 year old and despite no kids menu it didn't matter they loved the food we shared. This is a gem in a small beach town full of unique food experiences: A+ here 5 stars would recommend

This was some kind of spicy Mezcal drink

Oy. Y'all I SO wanted some EXCELLENT Mexican food. And A GOOD cocktail. Nahhhhh. I just can't say YAY!!! I can say ehhhhhh. The service was good. No issues. Not excellent and it's a cute spot. BUT whoa overpriced. It isn't FINE dining as some have said. Nah y'all. I'm very very critical of tortilla chips and these did NOT meet my mark. Greasy and under salted. No. Then Chips and Salsa are you kidding me for the price and quality?? Wow. It's such a small portion. Nothing and I mean NOTHING I had met expectations. And the $5 "Vegan" upcharge! HA! I have to echo Brian D on wtf y'all?? My Mezcal drink... pretty but I had to add my OWN hot sauce (none on the tables???) To give it ANY flavor at all. For me it's 2 stars. But my man loved the stuffed jalapenos. Not the price, as I believe that it's inflated even for the beach. So that gives them ONE extra star. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't. I got a HUGE flavorful burrito at another local spot that hit the spot for me. And it wasn't a Mexican place. Wink wink.

We came back to Mi Corazón for my birthday today because I love this restaurant so much! I cannot get over how amazing this place is! The special artistic ambiance, the great service, and the food ... honestly this food is so obviously made with such passion and care - fresh, local, gorgeous ingredients, and the chef is an artist with flavors. We will be back - as often as we can drive down!

Fabulous cocktails and music!

We LOVE this restaurant ! Amazing fresh, expertly crafted Mexican food! I love the fresh fish tacos, the jalapeño margaritas, the creamy pablano chicken ! We return again and again whenever we are in Cannon Beach!

We happened upon this restaurant and boy are we glad we did! The ambience is fabulous. Incredible design, impressive artwork and the FOOD! THE FOOD! Omg! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I got the 'soup' and the flavor was beyond anything I have ever tasted. The service was lovely and they were so friendly.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food do not come here, the prices are outrageous. The service I will say was good, although I payed 30 for a small plate of ceviche which was completely different from what I had in mind. Just overall overpriced af wanted to walk out but decided to give it a chance and was very disappointed will never be coming back. (wait time was pretty crazy too)

Disregarding the ridiculous prices and rude staff, I actually felt ill from eating the food.

I had a mushroom and tofu taco, which came with a side of beans. Both the tofu and mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and had fresh and flavorful salsas/aiolis on top that elevated the dish. The beans were a bit runny, but I enjoyed the smokey flavor they had. My boyfriend had the Kalua Pork nachos, which he kept raving about.

They have a variety of seating so you can choose from their cool bar, high tops, regular tables, barstools at the window counter to people watch out on the street, or a couple of patio tables out on the sidewalk. The Hubs and I had a big late lunch, so we opted to share their pulled pork nachos, which were a reasonable size (average dinner plate sized) for $15, which was perfect for 2, compared to some places that only serve ginormous nachos meant for a big group, for a lot more money. Their nachos were loaded with pulled pork, and a generous scoop of guacamole, along with the other usual nacho toppings. Their housemade chips were flavorful and hearty enough to hold up to the toppings. I also had a Strawberry Rosemary Fizz mocktail, which was yummy and refreshing, and reasonably priced at $7 (some other local places are charging in the upper-teens for a mocktail, which is crazy to me). The employees working were all friendly and upbeat, and my drink & our food came out quick. Their menu is not huge, but not small either, and quality stuff with a nice variety of Latin-inspired fare you don't find at other local spots,, so we look forward to visiting them again in the future.

We enjoyed the food on Puerto Rico on our cruise so this was a treat. The restaurant was vibrant with island decor and family photos on the walls. My wife ordered a Mojito and I had a Rum and Coke. The mojito was underwhelming and was missing flavor. On to the food..... I ordered the Mofongo with pork and my wife had the garlic chicken. My meal was moist and tasty along with being filling. The garlic chicken was pounded thin and overcooked, very dry and hard to eat. The accompanying beans, rice and salad were very good. I mentioned the quality or lack of to the waiter (I think was the owner) and he questioned me like I was wrong. No apologies given. I didn't ask for a discount and wasn't given one. All I would have liked was an acknowledgement. We won't be back especially with a food truck park within a quarter mile away with almost 30 assorted trucks.

We ordered the Tenderized Steak Marinated in a Garlicy Vinegar sauce, the Mofongo with roasted pork, and empanadas to share. The standout dish for me was the Mofongo. It was a unique dish that I hadn't tried before. It came in like one of the mortar shaped bowls with like smashed plantains and the slow roasted pork in the middle. It was pretty good. The Marinated Steak was decent and had a good flavor to it, but the Mofongo would be my recommendation.

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.
