This place was delicious to eat at. The place is tucked away off the road but was really nice area I think. The staff is very friendly and polite. Absolutely amazing food! Their carrot cake had a warm sauce drizzled over the top absolutely delicious. Ordered two items that came with rice and beans which I chose the chili Reno and the chard chicken enchilada with the casa sauce. We are new to Benson arriving toward the end of July. We tried Mi Casa last night for the first time, a lot of co-workers from the Oasis Sanctuary had recommended it. Wonderful homemade quality Mexican food. Family friendly environment, small and homey atmosphere. We had the 3 item combo ( 2 chili relleno and cheese enchilada with green sauce ) and the Popeye enchiladas plate. Both were wonderful! We spoke with the owners for awhile and he said his wife the chef can make anything vegetarian or vegan friendly too! So we will definitely try that as well when we come back. We were recommended this restaurant by a tour guide at the Kartchner Cavern he started that this place had amazing food and amazing carrot cake. My fiance lit up with excitement seeing carrot cake is here favorite dessert. We were slightly confused going in because of a sign saying please wait to be seated. After waiting a minute we went inside. The place was very warm however they had the AC running with a fan. The food took a little while to come up but it was well worth the wait. The food was Amazing amazing amazing. Everything was very well seasoned. As for the carrot cake was a little bit of a letdown. It was not what we were used to. Amazing, authentic Mexican food. We were told it's the best place by a local UPS driver...he was right! If you're trying to find it, look for the Rock Shop and motel, then park by the Rock Shop. You I'll see Mi Casa sandwiched in between, set back a little ways. It's hard to see from the road. Service was amazing, husband and wife couple with hubby waiting tables and wifey cooking. Best authentic food we've ever had. Definitely not the typical "Americanized" Mexican. We'll worth the stop. read more

After reading the reviews stopped here on our way back from Tombstone and it did not disappoint. The menu is extensive hard to make a choice so many great food options. The portions are quite large so we shared but it was really good. We got there 10 minutes before they opened and already a large crowd were waiting The staff was friendly and we were in and out within an hour. Wow!! What an excellent find in Benson, AZ. Small, cozy dining room (so plan accordingly). We went after the lunch rush at around 1:30pm and we're seated immediately. Service and prices were excellent. Presentation on point! Food was hot, fresh, and the perfect blend of flavor and heat. Loved every bit. Stopped here for lunch on the way to Bisbee. Had the shrimp enchiladas. This was some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had! It's a small business owned by a couple. This is a fabulous gem of a restaurant tucked off the main drag in Benson Arizona. I've eaten plenty of Mexican food as a native of the Souhwest but this ranks right up near the top of the list. Lovely little family owned Mexican restaurant where every dish is made with love. The enchiladas were wonderful. I'd recommend trying the trio so you can sample all three. The carrot cake, which is unique for a Mexican restaurant, is really worth a try too! FYI- No alcohol served here. read more

Beautiful presentation on large dinner plates allowed you visualize each perfectly prepared item. Everything was delicious. We waited a long time. Party of 2. There were open tables for larger parties but they cared more about the larger party than they did us. Once we were seated, we were asked to move to a smaller vacated table. We were not compensated in anyway for the long wait, the long wait for our food and moving for other customers And the restaurants profit and convenience. Wait staff was very friendly. I bought a pricey dish (I felt all the prices were very pricey) I had about four bites in my food and took the rest home and disposed of it. I will not go back there again even though it was highly recommended by locals. I guess they have nothing better to do read more

Mi Casa is a regular stop for us when traveling East from Tucson. They are closed on weekends, so we may drive 12 hours on a Friday just for another fantastic meal here. I almost didn't give 5 stars just because there are too many 5 star ratings already but I relented. This small family run establishment provided excellent service and good food. We ordered the Popeye shrimp enchiladas and the roasted green pork enchiladas. A generous portion of shrimp were a pleasant surprise. The pork was satisfying but I would go for the shrimp next time. The presentation was exceptional, almost bordering on too much but how often can you say that. The chips were thin and crispy, most likely house made. We preferred the "hot" sauce to the "casa" sauce. Belive me it is hot. The atmosphere added to the meal. Definitely a step above most Mexican restaurants. We will definitely return. read more
