We came here with a large party and were seated in a back room. From the start, service was incredibly slow, it took nearly 4 hours to get our food. Drink refills and even basic necessities like silverware were completely overlooked, and several of us had to get up and search for them ourselves. It took over an hour for anyone to even take our order, and when the food finally started coming out, the staff waited until all the dishes were ready rather than serving them as they came. As a result, the food was left sitting out, getting cold, and was placed randomly around the room, regardless of who ordered what. One server even spilled food and just left it there. Some meals were never brought out at all and completely forgotten. The staff were unfriendly and disorganized. The food itself was nothing special, certainly not worth the wait or the poor service. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for groups. Definitely a waste of time and money. read more

This establishment has brought dishonor to the Mexican name. They served me enchiladas that were raw and unsalted. I told the worker about it and they said they can't me me a new one and only could give me a refund. I was so angry and requested to speak to the manager but the said no and send me on my way out the door. So I'm never going to this establishment again. Neither should y'all. read more

I really struggled with how to rate this restaurant. The chips were nothing special, my burrito and enchilada were EXACTLY the same except for the shell (one flour, one corn). The filling was weird and not flavorful. We told the waiter it wasn't that great and he said the red sauce is what really makes it. Ok, so you charge extra for cheese sauce that you think ruins your dish? That's odd. The beans were good. The rice was a little spicy. Based on my experience alone, this was probably 1-2 stars. But my husband ordered some kind of massive quesadilla with chicken, steak, veggies and everything else in it that was really good! Admittedly this was the dish the waiter recommended, and I had gone off on my own. Fortunately it was big enough to share, so I didn't starve! IMO the menu is just too big. It's hard to choose something from a menu that size and it's hard for the kitchen to produce quality when the menu is that large. They should get rid of those combo meals and stick with the more specialty items that they seem to be able to do well. read more

I'm so disappointed in the food quality that I received tonight. I have been coming here to the London location for many years and loved it but something has changed. My tacos tasted like there were chemicals in them. I ordered a side of rice and beans and my beans were gray looking. Others at my table had beans as well but they were darker. It's not bad, but it's not great. First, the chips and salsa will tell you a lot about a Mexican restaurant. The regular salsa they bring out tasted sweet. It just didn't taste like salsa is supposed to taste. When they brought out the hot salsa, it looked like chili. See the pictures. I was able to make a decent salsa by combining the two, 60% sweet and 40% hot. The wife ordered some fajitas and she said they were really good. I know they looked good and smelled good. I ordered the cheese steak burrito. It looked good, but the taste didn't match the look. The steak had no flavor and it was very chewy. I powered through and finished the meal, but it wasn't special. The prices are reasonable. You can get full on the food as the portion sizes are generous. Just don't expect to be blown away with taste. read more

I was happily surprised when I walked into Mi Casa and was greeted so nicely and the atmosphere was perfect. I ordered a Burrito and so did my wife. Every town has its "go-to" Mexican restaurant, and while I'm not from Corbin, this is the one I would go to when I am there! The bright exterior's decorating theme is continued inside, with colorful murals on the walls and booths. The serving staff is equally bright and happy to see patrons, quickly bringing chips and salsa to the table. I had my "go-to" Mexican meal of a quesadilla and was not disappointed. The quesadilla was served with a side of fresh-tasting guacamole, some salsa, and sour cream. All in all, not a bad experience. Recently visited Mi Casa after several months of avoiding all restaurants due to the China Virus. I ordered the Molcajete Fajitas. Even though the most expensive item , it's a great value at Mi Casa. The steak was juicy and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp are large and tasty. Since the new manager took over, it's cleaner and the service better. BEWARE!!!! The manager on duty at night is unbelievably rude. I placed an order for 5 people. As I got my order and went to my car, I realized there were only 2 dinners in the bag. I went back inside. He started pulling my food out at the register. He stopped and started checking people out. I still didn't say anything, even though the food was getting cold. He then picked up all the food and went to the kitchen. He came out carrying another bag he said they had forgotten to give me. After checking, the order still wasn't right. He started throwing food lids. He then started hollering at the girl who took the order. When I asked him why he was behaving that way, since I was being polite. He really got angry then. People in the restaurant started staring he was making such a scene. He was still hollering rude comments as I left. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN AND ADVISE OTHERS TO EAT MEXICAN SOMEWHERE ELSE. He needs a lesson in common courtesy and the correct way to treat a customer. Mi Casa is not the most authentic Mexican restaurant (example: store-bought guacamole) but their food and drinks are very very good. The service was great and super friendly. The birthday treatment is complete with singing, sombrero and free dessert--or a shot of tequila if that's more your style for the night! We were tired and hungry coming through town on a road trip. This place exceeded our expectations. When we walked in it felt like a tourist gift shop at a Mexican airport had thrown up. A bit of sensory overload...although my husband pointed out that someone must have hand painted (and perhaps also hand carved) all the booths and chairs and painted the tables with traditional Mexican scenes. We immediately received chips that were freshly made and fantastic fresh salsa with a hint of cilantro. We each ordered a margarita--mine in the rocks, his frozen. Those drinks are not what earned this place a high review! Sweet fruity juice drink with only a hint of tequila. But then our food came. My husband had carnitas chimichangas -with perfectly seasoned pork, fried very lightly to perfection. The rice was excellent. I had a catfish dish with the flakiest most perfectly seasoned fish, also pan fried so lightly, it was perfect. The fish was on a bed of amazing sautéed vegetables. Stopped here on our way from Kentucky to visit relatives in East Tennessee. We were able to view their menu online and call in a to-go order with no problem. Still had to wait a few minutes once we got there, but that gave us time for a restroom break (they were impeccably clean) and a moment to stretch our legs. We all choose different meals-cheese nachos, bean burrito, and a crazy large portion of some kind of fries with fajita fixings on them-and all were excellent. We will stop here again!! read more
