That being said, I tried to play it safe and ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, which were very tasty! You get a VERY large portion of the grilled meats, peppers & onions for a decent price, which I appreciated (and definitely had many leftovers from). You also get rice & beans, lettuce, guac, and sour cream on the side. Additionally, I opted for their version of a Cadillac margarita, which was interesting. I was surprised at the color of it (a pinkish) when it came over, but I think it's from the blend of juices they use. It actually wasn't too bad! I love a good jalapeno margarita and asked for some in the drink, which I think added nice flavor from the sweeter juice blend. Chips and salsa...not so great. The chips were nothing special, and the salsa was not edible. Super thick and not a good flavor. Otherwise, we all enjoyed our meals. A pretty basic but not-bad Mexican restaurant with many menu items to choose from.

Authentic delicious Mexican food doesn't begin to describe how delicious this is. The refried beans are unreal, especially dipped into the crisp, homemade tortilla chips. They make the rice homemade and I've never had Mexican rice taste better than from El Ranchito. The chicken and steak fajita meat is flavorful, tender and didn't have any weird pieces of fat you'd find at other places. And the queso and Guac are killer. And checkout the homemade pico de Gallo in the photo. Everything is homemade from this family biz. We literally at here earlier in the week and it was soooo good we got catering for the family a few days later. It's authentic Mexican in Kentucky. A much try.

I was NOT disappointed at all! Jose was our waiter and he was very kind and thoughtful. He had plenty of other tables as well, which made him difficult to catch at times; but as soon as we got ahold of him, he took care of whatever we needed quickly. The salsa was fresh and good and the chips tasted almost homemade. I got the Chicken Quesadilla with no guac or sour cream. It was absolutely delicious!! My friend Lisa got Chicken fajitas, which she said was the best and she gets practically every time she eats here. And she got Charro's Pain Killer, and she said the coconut was a nice touch and looked like snow. Her sister Pam got the Jesus Special. She felt like it didn't come with enough cheese and asked our waiter, to which he did bring an additional amount for her. All in all, I will definitely be back once I'm in the area again.
