I've never been to this restaurant before but I came here with friends of mine that live in the area. They said that this was one of the best Mexican places in the area. I was NOT disappointed at all! Jose was our waiter and he was very kind and thoughtful. He had plenty of other tables as well, which made him difficult to catch at times; but as soon as we got ahold of him, he took care of whatever we needed quickly. The salsa was fresh and good and the chips tasted almost homemade. I got the Chicken Quesadilla with no guac or sour cream. It was absolutely delicious!! My friend Lisa got Chicken fajitas, which she said was the best and she gets practically every time she eats here. And she got Charro's Pain Killer, and she said the coconut was a nice touch and looked like snow. Her sister Pam got the Jesus Special. She felt like it didn't come with enough cheese and asked our waiter, to which he did bring an additional amount for her. All in all, I will definitely be back once I'm in the area again. read more

Very good and tasty Mexican food. The restaurant is super clean and the staff is super great. I had the Tortilla Soup-So delicious. I also ordered the Enchiladas Norteñas Steak & Chicken with Rice-also yummy. Israel my waiter was attentive and provided good recommendations. read more

This is probably due to a staffing shortage due to COVID 19, hope they will recover after the pandemic when they can keep staff.

My boyfriend and I are in town for a wedding. We decided to eat here as it's not too far from our hotel. We were very happy with our decision! Food was delicious, cooked well. We had fajitas (steak, shrimp, and carnitas with onions and poblano peppers). Everything was cooked well and not overdone. Meats were tender. Rice and beans were also good. Offerings were different from what we're used to, for example they had potato skins, and they were awesome! Service was fast and staff were very nice. Restaurant is clean as well. Slow service, high prices. Recommend you go to El Taxco (aka La Fiesta Grande) down the street (near Pizza Hut and Sonic) for better service, better prices, and fresher ingredients. Got their speciality fajitas (steak, shrimp, pork carnitas). Tasted a bit Asian - teriyaki? It was fine, but should have been spicy rather than sweet. The beef soft taco was okay also. Their chorizo queso wasn't very good. The chorizo was stringy and super fatty. Pico de gio was fine, but you could tell onion wasn't fresh - it was very pungent. Horrible, not fresh food at all, I would not suggest this place to feed your dog.... food had a moldy aroma wheen biting into it... didn't finish any of it, 4 of us tried it none of us had a good experience, my son was sick to his stomach before we reached the car. I went here earlier this afternoon and I was no satisfied at all. The drinks had seeds in them. At first, I was okay with it thinking that they accidentally squirted a lemon seed in it or something. Then we noticed the drinks had FOOD floating in them. The shrimp was over cooked but also didn't have any color on it. Not sure how that's even possible; and lastly, my order, wasn't even correct. Very delicious food but the workers were very unfriendly, our server and cashier barely talked to us/asked how the food was. Stopped in for lunch yesterday based on a recommendation from a lady at TJ Max. Terrible Choice. Small, cramped space. Very slow service. Ordered guacamole and it was very good. Wife ordered tortilla soup. Uhg! Chicken broth with broccoli m, huge chunks of cauliflower, zucchini and chicken. Most unusual tortilla soup I've ever tried nor do I want to again. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was hot and fresh, chicken was bland and not shredded very well. Server never checked on us once. Did I mention the salsa probably came from a can. I am from south fl and didn't expect much from a Mexican rest in Kentucky. I'm here to tell u that this is one of the best Mexican meals we have had period. I had the steak tacos which had terrific spices , which were great and my husband had the ultimate molvajete which is put into a bowl made from volcanic rock with chicken shrimp carnitas and steak so much flavor, hands down a wonderful restaurant with excellent service . Would have given a second chance BUT.....This place sure likes to rip off customers. I had a plate called Parillada. Ive had this plate many times at diffrent el charros in Texas. But the one here in Somerset, KY the plate was aweful! So i sent the plate back and only ate the rice and beans wich i was fine with. The server was so nice and tryed to accomidate me the best he could but a man passed my table gave me a dirty ugly look i just ignored it. As we were leaving i saw they still charged me 12.99 for a plate i didnt eat so i told them to call manager well it turns out the man who gave a me a dirty look was the manager he did not take the 12.99 off my bill the bill was $31. I told him ill pay for what my family ate and the rice and beans that i had but not the plate i sent back. He said no! So i ended up paying for a plate i did not eat. I would have givin this place another chance because my family enjoyed it but now we are never going back and leaving this review :( The plate was suppose to be sizzling it wasnt, the onios and peper was hard not cooked right, the chicken didnt look like chicken, the steak look like it had been sitting there for a while yuck!
