When I asked my friend for a recommendation for a mechanic, his exact words were he is very ethical and trustworthy. So I drove to Mohamed's shop the next morning. I needed new rear brakes pads and battery on an Infiniti Q50. Once he checked car and determined what needed to be replaced, he recommended the brake pads and battery to be installed. Parts were delivered within an hour and I left with new brake pads and battery in under 2 hours. Mohamed is very efficient, knowledgeable, trustworthy and pleasant. I went to have my 2 rear brakes replaced (calipers, rotors and pads on both sides). While other stores in Fairfax/McLean quoted $500+ for labor, this store only charged me 185 bucks. The store manager and his assistant finished the job in 2 hours. Had all new parts installed perfectly. I feel much better and safer with my new rear brake system. The manager also suggested me to flush engine, cooling and power steering, with a reasonable price. Not a big auto shop, but the service is excellent, with a really nice price. read more

Mo is amazing! I have had a multitude of unfortunate encounters with auto shops, such as G&C Auto in Chantilly and a few other places, they over charge, they take FOREVER to get anything done (an hour and a half to change a bulb for a headlight, really??) and they will do anything to scam you. Mo at MG Auto is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of that. He is the best mechanic I've ever found. Fixed everything on my car that was wrong with it, told me and even showed me what he was doing and why he was doing it which I really appreciated that he took the time to do. Mohamed knows what he is doing and gives you honest work in quick time. I was getting my 105k maintenance done on my Honda Prelude and he took the time to show me the old, worn parts he took out (timing belt, water pump, etc). Most mechanics don't do this so you have no idea if they actually replaced things or not. He is extremely knowledgeable with Hondas and I'm sure every other car. He gives an extremely fair price for his quality of work and you will leave confident knowing your car was in good hands. read more

Wonderful service! I have a vw and it is so hard to find a mechanic that specializes in German cars and know what they're talking about besides the dealership. The first time I took my car, he knew exactly what was wrong with it when two other mechanics had no idea. He also checked my spark plugs and transmission without asking. I got such a great deal, I paid for a new part, labor, new spark plugs, transmission flushed all for the price the dealership would have charged me for the part alone. The second I went to see him my alternator had died and my car broke down on the side of the road, he came and found me and called a towing service for me. This is THE BEST shop in NOVA. The shop owner and head mechanic, Mohamed is a very honest mechanic that understands his customer's situation and works with it. He always finds a way to meet my budget and is always on time. He is also willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get the best value for your repairs or maintenance. He he treats my cars like he treats his own. My family and i service our Mercedes and BMW and Honda at his shop and he performs all necessary repairs. He would sometimes recommend me to wait for some unimportant repairs when he knows that my budget doesn't meet the repairs cost. He takes minimal amount for maximum work. After reading some reviews, I decided to go here and bring my SUV. I needed one of my belt replaced and I told him to look what else needs to get done in my car. He told me that I needed all my fluids flush. When I told him that I just got it done 4 months ago, he told me that whoever I took it to put the wrong fluid on my coolant and the other fluids wasn't changed. I told him that I Trusted his opinion and do what he thinks needs to get done. When I picked up my car, I looked at my engine and it looked brand new. He took all the fluids out and cleaned the parts including my engine. He even looked at my other car for free. I was having some alignment issue. He said he's friend does it and he can bring it there to get it done. So I came back the following week to tell him that I need it done but I don't have a ride to go back to my house. He offered to bring me home and picked me up when it's done for free. Who does that? Great customer service and great price too. He even told me to not to replace stuff that the other mechanic told me I needed. He's honest and to the point. read more
