Mezeh was good for a Mediterranean bowl on the go, I enjoyed my lunch from their FiDi location. I got the Mezeh Classic; my bowl had a lot of ingredients, and they seemed to hold up pretty well! The chicken was seasoned well, it tasted good on its own and as part of the admittedly busy bowl of stuff. Other standouts were the rice, the cucumbers, and the tzatziki sauce. The harissa was okay, not the most fresh or spicy that I've had. And I could go either way with the corn. But the dish was definitely hearty and a good value overall, I can see myself ordering again for a consistent meal with healthyish ingredients. read more

This one is located on Fulton St in the financial district where many chains operate (Taco Bell, xians, chick fila, Wendy's next door, Chipotle). Highly competitive area. Expensive for what it is. Portion size OK. Subpar dining room compared to Flatiron Mezeh. Portions seems to be better there and even tastier food. More drink options as well and cleaner there in flatiron. read more

Mezeh only has a few locations in Manhattan right now, but after trying their Mediterranean fast casual food, I hope they'll open more in the city. They have wraps, pitas, and two sizes of bowls (which I really like, because sometimes I just want something light), and protein options that include chicken, steak, lamb, and falafel. The nutrition and allergen information on their website is very easy to use, and this location in particular has plenty of seating. I got a bowl with a mix of mixed greens and bulgur, chicken kebab, hummus, tzatziki, Turkish salad, tabbouleh, pearl couscous, caramelized eggplant, tomatoes, feta, pickled onions, and pickled turnips. I really like how many toppings you can add, and that they have some different ones from the other Mediterranean chains in the city. Everything was good, and the portion sizes were reasonable. Hence I got the Classic. I don't like seeing corn in bowl world as if I feel like I won't offer much improvement from a can of Mexicorn from Acme, but overall there were plenty of twists and turns. Highlights including the pickle-adjacent sumac cucumbers and a citrus-forward tabouleh. And instead of pushing Cokes and Dasanis, Mezeh offers some creativity on the beverage front. I ordered a mezeh classic bowl which has white basmati rice, spicy chicken shawarma, spicy hummus, tzatziki dip, Lebanese tabbouleh, red cabbage slaw, corn salsa, sumac cucumbers, carmalized eggplant, and pickled turnips. Such a colorful bowl! ($12.29) A great price for what you get which could be two meals in one. This was packed with flavor and I loved every second of it. Overall pretty good. It's a similar concept as Cava where you can create your own bowl and ask for as many toppings as you want. I came right at opening. I will say though that the rice was way overcooked and was mushy and questionable, and the lemon garlic sauce wasnt mixed well, but I still enjoyed the meal. read more

Stopped in here for lunch after getting my $16 haircut down the block. The place looks beautiful, in the inside there's Mediterranean art and mosaic tiles. In the middle you have a big table with stools and gorgeous lamps. This place was really something. The food was delicious and fresh kinda like a chipotle but make it Mediterranean. Lots of food choices here and toppings galore. I ordered the bowl with chicken, spinach, black beans and a few other toppings, with a water that came out to about $17. The only thing they need to work on is that front door. They need a vestibule to block out the cold air, if you are sitting in any booth on that strip in the front you will feel the breeze everytime that door opens. Brrr.. Came on a weekend when there weren't many patrons. Looked pretty empty inside. The server was nice and let me sample a couple of proteins. I would say the bowl I got was half good half bad. Some things tasted fresh and delicious. Others didn't. Like the saffron white rice I got was completely dried out and hard because it was probably sitting out for many hours and overcooked. The tomatoes were ripe and delicious. The different drink flavors all taste like different flavors of Kool-Aid. But the ingredients listed seem healthy. read more

Super great addition to the fast casual spots in the area!! I stopped by mezeh at around 8:30pm on a Friday and was served super quickly. I was in and out in like 5 minutes. They have lots of seating in the restaurant, everything was very clean, and the space is huge!! The tables and decor were nice and they could even seat larger groups as well. The service was very nice as well! Extremely kind, and they didn't make me feel rushed at all. The food was delicious-- I can't rave enough about it. The dips and toppings were very flavorful. I loooveeeeddd the spicy hummus, baba ganoush, and pickled cauliflower/carrots. The proteins stood out especially! I got half chicken shawarma and half falafel in my bowl. There were some other dips and toppings I would've liked to try, but I didn't want to trouble them to bring them out so close to closing. I stopped by one night as I was looking for a more casual spot to grab a quick bite that wasn't fast food and this place was great! it reminded me of cava with the build your own bowls & pitas but the topping choices were a bit different. I was too lazy to build my own so I chose the mezeh classic which came w everything I liked! I asked the worker if I was able to add stuff on but I think there was a language barrier so I'm still not sure of the answer, but I was still happy w what came in my bowl! I saw that there was no chicken shawarma when I sat down to eat it and the worker quickly resolved this issue and gave me three large scoops of chicken! I was very impressed by the customer service and the food itself, which was bursting with flavor! I do wish I could've added different sauces but it was still good! the portion was very generous as well and lasted me 2 meals! I ordered the chicken kebab bowl and it was delicious. It was very fulfilling and price is reasonable. The basmati rice was good, it's a very worth it well rounded meal for a good price. Ambiance was calm. Our server was very patient, and recommended sauces since I didn't know which to pick and I got the lemon garlic one and was worth it. He was also friendly! Love this spot! Came here after a coworker suggested it. It's similar to chipotle/cava style where you can choose any of their menu items or a la carte. Their spicy feta dip is delicious!! As is their couscous and chicken shawarma. Be sure to download their app to earn points and for $5 off your first order. Good portion and seem you can pick more than other salad places before it goes over extra.. flavor of everything was subtle in taste which is good since it might not have a lot of sharp but having sharp taste at other salad places you get thrown off for a sec. I bought mezeh classic bowl the other day. It was perfect, the portion was good, the food was delicious. Therefore I got the same bowl again today. I ordered Mezeh classic bowl with no eggplant , no red cabbage, no pickled turnips and extra tabbohleh. But the server girl was so stingy, she barely put anything in the bowl. I can't even see chicken properly and not much rice. I said extra tabbohleh because I didn't put a lot of stuffs. But I can barely see the tabbohleh. I wish could stop being stingy to customer and put proper food for the price I paid. read more

Tiny, "meatballs" of burned falafel: smaller than the plastic spoon (see pic below) how could they screw this up? Bowl is so overpriced: a tablespoon of baba ghanoush (was delicious too), small portion of runny tahini (should be thick and creamy wth ?) not enough wet ingredients to actually make the LARGE amount of greens that filled the bowl even palatable. Underrated! Maybe I go off peak, but this place is never crowded but the food's consistently terrific! Everything's fresh, plus the staff's always friendly. My only suggestion is to have more options that don't require you to choose what goes in the bowl, but consists of already paired ingredients. Food here is fine but service people incredibly rude. I had dinner at Mazeh tonight. They had some large tea dispensers with drink glasses stacked next to them -- all in the public seating area without any sign or notice that drinks are not complimentary with the meal. I started to fill one of the stacked cups and this complete jerk rudely asked me what I was doing and basically accused me of trying to steal a drink. I explained that I was eating dinner there and there was no indication that the tea wasn't complimentary. He simply stared angrily at me as if I were fabricating the entire thing. He didn't apologize. That's a great way to create customer goodwill. This is my first and last time I'll consider eating at any Mezeh location unlessI receive an apology and this guy is reprimanded. He had a complete lack of common sense and tack. Really a poor choice for a customer service rep or for any employment other than perhaps an Soviet era prison guard (maybe his last position). read more
