Delicious but overpriced. $25 for a shrimp kabob side of halloumi cheese and drink. Not filling, I could've easily eaten two of them but that would cost a lot. Love the food, not the prices or portions.

    Lamb and Beef Gyro

Growing up in and around Astoria, I get really weak for Greek and food sometimes. There are only about 2-3 spots for Greek food in the area, this being one of them. But it's not at the popularity level of Uncle Gussy's or GRK, mainly because of the shady-looking location--tell me I'm wrong. I've been here twice now and it does the job if you're craving Greek food. I am somewhat biased, as I've been spoiled by amazing Greek food in Astoria, but the quality here is average--you're also paying Manhattan prices and Manhattan lunch quality, so don't expect too much. I liked the juicy, tender cuts of the lamb and beef gyro, but it was heavily lacking in flavor. There wasn't enough tzatziki sauce and not much seasoning in the meats either. The serving size is also on the smaller side, so best to order a meal or a side if you have a big appetite. It seems that they heavily rely on online and phone orders, which I suppose the one of the reasons this place stays afloat. There aren't many customers ordering during lunch time and it's probably because it's so hidden. OK for a grab 'n go bite, but not my top choice for Greek in FiDi.

Just ordered the rotisserie chicken family platter for 40 plus dollars, it was not cooked with blood in it. When i called to explain what happened and ask for a replacement I was told "sorry, cant help you". Buyer beware

    Horiatiki Salad with chicken

I used to order takeout from this place all the time. I stopped by today to order a salad and I was shocked at the drop in quality and the increase in price. I got a simple Greek salad with chicken. It was $15.87!!! Not only was the price ridiculous the quality is much worse than before. My tomatoes were half rotten and inedible. The feta cheese was not that fresh. I was extremely disappointed and I will not be returning. The Greek truck on Wall Street has much better food at half the price!

Delicious Greek food that feels like home cooked meals. We got the cod pita and vegetarian pita along with Greek Fries, favs beans, and cauliflower sides. All were super yummy and would recommend. I look forward to trying the smoothies and other items

They have a nice layout with a bright blue section for counter seating. Their zucchini fritters dish was tasteful. I wish there were like 2 more of those fritters! 3 was not enough. So good! By the way, they have a variety of pre-cut dessert in plastic to go containers as well, so this could be a good dessert place too.

Using Yelp to search for Greek pitas my food travels takes me to the Financial District. My one pork pita $7.40 was very messy and the lettuce does not appear fresh. The Tzatziki sauce was mediocre. My pita was wrapped in a roll to be consumed on the go New York style. Desserts and traditional Greek sweets of Baklava and Kataifi are available including the popular rise of Greek yogurt. Note: No restroom facility on site. No utensil counter or napkin freely out in the open to dispense as all is distributed in your order. Since there are no restroom facility on site Pita Press should at least provide moist towelettes for patrons who do dine-in. Bring your own moist towelettes or hand sanitizer. Pita Press contains very minimal ledge (not table) seating available with stools as this eatery is designed for takeout. I am not overall impressed.

Lamb and beef plate with cucumber tomato salad.

I love Pita Press! I always order the lamb & beef plate with cucumber tomato salad as the side. The food is fresh and warm and the service is fast. Two tips: 1) Order via Ritual to collect points. You also save a dollar and a few minutes :) 2) Opt for the lamb & beef instead of the chicken.

Scam. Prices are not as posted. Charged 6.99 to add grilled chicken to salad even though price posted is 4.75.

We tried the spicy shrimp (coconut based broth), spicy tonkatsu, and salmon miso ramen. The tonkatsu and salmon were both cooked well - tender and moist. Ramen noodles were thin and well cooked - more al dente. We also tried the karaage which had a thick crispy batter and a sweet glaze, with an optional spicy side sauce for dipping. They had a variety of sake and beer options. The inside is small but turnaround is fairly quick. Lots of two seaters and a large table that we were able to snag after just a few minutes of waiting. There was also bar seating. Pretty dark inside to add to the ambiance for a quick date or catch up with friends. Checked in to the waitlist via Resy because we didn't have a reservation, and it was a short wait. Service was prompt.

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

I hadn't been to EDH in a while and was happy to see they do have later hours (with a smaller late night menu). The place was pretty busy at 10:00 PM last Saturday, with a wide range of diners, which is good for business. The food though, at least that night, was really disappointing. My friend had the chicken dumplings. He said they were okay. I thought they were overcooked. My steamed shrimp shumai were fine, but steamed, they didn't have much flavour. The edamame, on the other hand, had way too much when it should have almost none. I don't know if it was excess salt, MSG or something else, but not good. I should have sent them back. I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen.

For my combo, I got a Sukiyaki Beef onigiri, which was my fave one, and a Salmon onigiri, which was fine, just a bit plainer than I'd like. But, I like that they added furikake seasoning throughout it to add flavor. I didn't care much for their sides - the egg was too sweet for my liking and the pickled carrots were too soft. I ordered an addtl Kinko (mushroom) onigiri bc I was quite hungry and it was alright. Def a lighter taste. Overall, a decent spot for a solid, reliable, good bite!
