    If you happen to need a bite to eat on a Wednesday afternoon.. look no further. Chef Aaron will hook you up! Food + Big portions at great prices! Where else can you find a BBQ plate for ~$14 with 2 sides included? or $6 for 3 tacos loaded with meat?? +My recommendation would be to go with the brisket (if it's on the menu that day). It's hands-down my favorite BBQ offering, tender and juicy! +The ($10) tostada order comes with 2 and it's LOADED (protein, lettuce, cilantro crema, cotija cheese beans) +Add your own toppings (pickled onions, jalapenos, carrots, cilantro, onions) +The BBQ Sauces are TO DIE FOR. I suggest you try all three: Tequila BBQ, Mole BBQ, and Tamarind glaze. I would slurp it up if that was socially acceptable!! +Other offerings: tequila ribs, smoked chicken, pork belly, carnitas, watermelon al pastor, soyrizo/nopales. Menu changes weekly, so call in to see what Aaron prepared for the day +Sides: Coleslaw, mac salad, street corn, & more. Also depends on the day +Aguas: I prefer the jamaica (hisbiscus) lemonade; it is def better than starbucks. The strawberry horchata is also unique, though a little chunky; you'll like it if you like cinnamon. Location -It's a no-frills backyard BBQ type of place. There are 2 picnic tables set up to eat there or you can take your order to-go. +Lots of street parking available or pull into the driveway to pick up your order What else to expect? Come with an open mind and hungry stomach. Chef Aaron delivers on flavor and with his friendly personality. Be prepared to engage in conversation, its a neighborhood place! Everyone's super nice. Cash and venmo accepted for payment. Pick up an extra order because you will NOT WANT TO SHARE YOUR PLATE!! We had a group of friends meeting there at 1 PM to celebrate my husbands birthday. This was everyone's first time trying Fikscue While in line we grabbed some beers and Micheladas at Alameda Brewing. Around this time, a very sweet kind lady (maybe the owner?) came out and thanked the crowd for patiently waiting. I took the opportunity to ask her how long the wait from where we were would be. She estimated around 45 minutes. It turned out to be more around 1.5 hours. But we knew her answer was just an estimate. We ordered everything except drinks on the menu. And a lot of it. The meat was premium, juicy and tender. The smoky flavor really penetrated to the bone. We really enjoy the banana pudding dessert (not pictured). This location is cleverly located in between two breweries which is great because you can grab your food and a beer at either breweries. This bussiness seemed to cultivate community and an overall great spot to gather. The only negative experience our group had was with a couple in line in front of us. We were large group (8 people and 3 kids) and a friend accidently bumped into the couple in front of us twice. We were trying to take a group picture and bumped into the man. This grown man cursed us out calling us "effing idiots" and many other ridiculous names. Look we are all here trying to enjoy a delicious neighborhood mom and pop. Things happen, if you cannot be kind to your neighbor in line, stay home and order delivery. Accidents happen! No one got hurt. Besides that unsavory interaction, this turned out to be a great afternoon for all. We will definitely come back to try the desserts and beef cheeks.

Candalen--YOU DID THAT. The attention to detail on my plate did not go unnoticed. You treated my food like it was being served in-house, and that speaks volumes about your work ethic and pride in what you do. Aaron--listen... that peach lemon drop??? BABY. That was my first time trying one and it was EVERYTHING. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced--you made that drink an experience all by itself. I will be back JUST for that. And let's talk about the vibe--the music, the energy, the atmosphere--it all came together in a way that made the entire visit feel GOOD. Not just food... a whole experience. But what really stands out is this: It has been a LONG time since I've experienced service this genuine, this intentional, and this excellent. Not rushed, not careless--EXCEPTIONAL. Finally, we were so excited to see it was open on a Saturday an we came in for lunch. To order you need to scan the QR code and pay plus tip before a single person spoke to us or offered us service. From the menu we saw they were out of beef ribs, smoked chicken, rib tips, no peach cobbler, no banana pudding and no kool aid. I come for their brisket and my friend loves ribs so we went ahead and ordered combo plates to share. Mine was the brisket with a side of collard greens, she had the pork ribs, a hotlink with a side of Mac-n-cheese, & cornbread. For drinks we had lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. I'm not sure what has happened over the last few months but the quality of the food, the service and the expectation to pay and tip up front were very disappointing. The greens, Mac cheese, brisket and ribs were cold. The hotlink wasn't BBQ'ed it was pan fried. Everything tasted like warmed up leftovers and we will not return. For 2 of us to eat it came to $100 and we were not satisfied. The dining room is an attractive space, it was completely empty. The staff was unclear about what we ordered, had to be told to bring our drinks, bartender is also working as server and apologized for his uncertainty. I suggest this restaurant hire and train more staff if they intend to keep their doors open.
