Food: Really good tortas (huevos con chorizo) - This made a few meals and the chorizo was very tasty. We also had fish tacos which came with a delicious chipotle dressing. Only downside is the salsa which still tastes like jarred or canned salsa. Don't know if they have squeeze bottles of salsa roja and salsa verde but what we got was like Pace, so we had to make do at home with Tapatio and Acme Taqueria Style Salsa Roja. Starting off by saying the staff was super friendly, kind, and helpful. Moving along: Yikes! Authentic Mexican food? Please avoid this place. My "authentic tacos" came dressed with COOKED cilantro and onions. Greasy with zero flavor. The lettuce on the American tacos were pale, white, and limber. Looks like they dont care about ingredients. $50 later and im still hungry because even the guacamole was a single ingredient food. Zero flavor. Authentic to who exactly? I was not a fan. This food was such a let down. This place is not far from my home and after passing it several times I decided to order take out for dinner. I ordered a steak bowl, tortillas chips with queso and churros. The queso was absolutely disgusting! It was a small container of FAKE nacho cheese for like $6. My husband and I were craving tacos and decided to give this place a try. We took the 15 minute drive and found this lil mom n' pop Mexican restaurant. We were eager to try them out. The menu had a good mix of authentic and American style Mexican dishes which was cool. We ordered at the counter and decided to dine in since we were both pretty hungry. We ordered chicken nachos to start, my husband ordered shrimp and chicken fajitas and I ordered shrimp tacos 'supreme' or American style. I'd say the food was a little below average. The rice and beans that came with my husbands dish were pretty bland. My tacos had what tasted like big mac sauce on them. Weird. Nothing seasoned particularly well but also nothing was terrible. We both decided we would not be returning about 4 mins into the dishes. We were definitely glad to give them a try. Meximac has excellent food -- we tried 3 types of tacos today. We always get lengua tacos when they are on the menu. These were melt in your mouth tender. Absolutely fantastic. I was also surprised to see birria tacos on the menu. I was worried it would be spicy but it was a rich, flavorful consommé to dip the fried taco in. The cheese and beef were complemented perfectly by the consommé. A friend ate the chicken tacos and raved about them. Will absolutely be back and is now our go-to for authentic tacos in Delco! read more

I ordered from Meximac using one of the big delivery services. Tried the chicken fajitas and really enjoyed them. Also, a side of chips and salsa. The plate came with rice and beans. Both enjoyable but the beans were especially good. Four stars not five because the food was not super flavorful but it was fresh and delicious. I've never found the deep rich flavors of Mexico in the US but I that doesn't stop me from trying. I will order from Meximac again if I'm in the area for business. Chicken fajitas were really good and would get that again. For some odd reason our favorite local Mexican can't do fajitas well so I'm always craving them when I get the chance. I've been ordering from here for years since their previous location. At times, the service left something to be desired. Let's just say I've had one too many forgotten items in my take out order. They appear to have a new computerized ordering system. I believe they are getting better now. I hope so. Because a recent meal here dining in was nothing short of spectacular. The wife swears by their fajitas. I go nuts for their guacamole and chips, and their tacos. My son loves the quesadillas. It's authentic Mexican for sure. I've had Mexican in the taquerias in South Philly, as well as in Arizona where Mexican food is gospel. This is my second and my last time. The first time I ordered three different styles of tacos. . Steak, pork and chicken. The pork were good, the chicken and steak were both terrible. Meat is dry (and barely any) two thin strips of lettuce and about 4 cubes of tomato on each. I paid extra for sour cream and when I say it was a drop, I mean it was a drop. (Not a dallop or even a spoonful) The rice is barely seasoned, tasted like nothing (isn't that a Mexican staple?) and BOTH times the order was incorrect. I said no onions, he repeated back no onions & no sour cream, I said yes to sour cream three times. Came without sour cream. To be honest I can make better tasting Mexican myself, for a fraction of the cost. The burrito was supposed to be pork, but I THINK it's chicken. I just ordered for the first time. I got a chicken burrito and chips and queso. The burrito was AMAZING! A great size, very filling and flavorful. I didn't realize when I ordered, but the burrito came with chips and salsa. The salsa was also great. I knocked off a star for the chips and queso. The chips had no salt on them, and I personally like a lot of salt. The queso was literally just melted cheese and didn't have any tomatoes or chili peppers in it like I was expecting. First off, I just want to say I am not trying to write a slander piece but this place may take the cake for the worst food establishment this side of the Mississippi. I have eaten at many of mexican restuarants all over the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and this is hands down the worst of them. I ordered the chicken burrito, more like the burnt dried out chicken burrito. There was no sour scream, cilantro, letttuce, tomato or onion in the burrito at all. It was just dried chicken with black beans and hard rice. I asked for queso on the side, they gave me kraft cheese whiz!!! wtf! The side of chips they give you and the piss squirt of salsa to go with it were soggy and full of grease, yuck! I also ordered a shrimp taco with my burrito, terrible. It was bland and burnt, pretty sure the shrimp was from a can! I only drove about 3 miles back to work after getting this food (which was wrapped in foil) and it was not even hot, cmon now!!! I would rather eat Taco Bell over this place. Why would anyone go here benig that Qdoba is only about 2 miles away!? I have to admit that I had absolutely no intentions of giving Mexi Mac a try until someone highly suggested it and said it was a hidden gem of Delco. How could I not try it after hearing that? I was pretty surprised by how quickly the burrito was made and was still skeptical as I made the short drive home. I was SO wrong about this place. The burrito was delicious and jam-packed with meat, beans, rice, and other tasty treats. The chicken was well-seasoned in what tasted like some sort of chipotle sauce. The meal also came with some chips and salsa, which I was not expecting. It was a pleasant surprise and pretty freaking good (the salsa was definitely freshly salsa-ed). Oh Mexi Mac, I'm sorry I haven't tried you sooner. I will definitely be back to try other things on your pretty extensive menu. Note: I'm guessing Mexi Mac does a lot of take-out business. Met friends for dinner. Though the food was excellent and the portions were large, the service was sub par. Having never been there, we did not know we had to order at counter and sat there waiting... and waiting. We were the only customers in the establishment for dinner. There were at least two employees behind the counter 10 feet away and never said anything or offered glasses for the wine we brought. After waiting 20+ minutes we went to the counter and asked if we could see menus and / or order. The person at the counter was on a cell phone the entire time we were there. After looking at the menus and going back up to order, the food was served quickly (in paper trays). Other than bringing the food to the table there was absolutely no customer service. The food was authentic and delicious (but heavy). Portions were large and we all left full. A little more expensive than expected, especially having no table service, paper take out trays for plates, plastic utensils, condiments (salsa, sour cream) in plastic capped cups and only plastic cups for wine for a BYOB. Prices cheap if just getting main dish but adds up if get appetizers. Although food is pretty good you wouldn't be missing any atmosphere or service if you were order and take out the food and enjoy it at home. I understand a small business trying to save money with all plastic and paper, but if felt more like a strictly take out place. It was very clean. Worth a visit for the food, just don't expect any atmosphere or warmth. It felt like they could care less if we were there. read more

This place was awful I ordered online and the total with tax came to 19.59 when I got to the place to pick up and buy the food the told me it was 22.50 then 24.50 I said there is no way that is possible and that I wasn't going to pay for the food it it's more than 19.59 and I showed them the email with the receipt saying how much it cost. I found out the charged me for an extra taco and tried to blame me for the extra taco. When it clearly states on the online order for only one taco. Needless to say I will never be going back there again and to top it off their taco tasted like it was lasagna filling not like taco meat and their rice sucked... never again read more
