Pretty darn good best you're gonna find around these parts now I been to near Mexico, Phoenix all those places near the border and parts inbetween and this is not the best but its pretty darn fine for what we got here in the tidal swamp South Philly area. First visit I got me a LENGUA burrito that means tongue for all you gringos now on the menu it ain't explicity say "LENGUA" under burrito but just tell the guy or gal at the counter "can i get me some lengua on the burrito instead" they'll say sure. Tongue was darn good and I got the burrito "ENCHILADA" style which means covered in some sort of pepper sauce liquid, you can either pick red or green depending on what color you like. Now this burrito was filling as hell and cheap too approx. $8 for a nice size burrito, I wouldn't say it was as big as a child but definitely as big as an extremely fat guinea pig or approx. the length of a size 9 foot. Not bad not the biggest enchiladas I ever seen but you get 3 in a row like 3 lashes to the back. Made my gut swell up and hurt bad but in a good way. Filled me right up. As I staggered back to my car I felt like a leprechaun who just seen a pile of gold impala mashed potatoes. NOW the next visit just today got me some steak enchiladas. Yes I love covering my food in a sauce to make a slurry. Makes my gut hurt bad but who cares. I'm shittin on company time if you know what I mean!! Pretty darn good. Same deal. Food comes out lickety split from the time I ordered I looked at approx. 8-10 women in bikinis on instagram and then the food came right out. You order at the counter and the man understands perfectly. No Spanish required but you can say it if you want. Tons of hot sauce all over the place, Tapatio, that other stuff that comes in dark brown, gold, green, red, habanero slaw, go for the one with as many "Xs" on it as possible. Gets you real riled up. There's an auto shop next door you can get your fluids flushed and antifreeze in for a decent price. You also get to put your own plate away in the bin. read more

Mexi mac has stepped up their game! New location, bigger menu, better service. I still stick to the torta, its huge and filling and delicious. The bbq beef, fried chicken and fried steak ones are the best! My date got the grilled veggie quesadilla, it was huge and piping hot. They have a much larger selection of drinks now. Amazing. I have only tried tacos so far but all I can say is wow! Steak is tender and seasoned perfect. Chicken is shredded generous amounts of chicken on the tacos. They also have a great selection of hot sauces. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone it's a must try read more

This is the third time I've been to mexi mac. The first two times i wasn't impressed, but I wanted to give them another try. I'm glad I did because my food was amazing. I got a shrimp taco which had a delicious chipotle sauce and I also got their chicken quesadilla which is my go to because they marinade the chicken to perfection. Lastly I got a side of black beans which seemed to be homemade and not some canned crap. Everything was fresh and delicious. I hope they stay consistent because if so I will absolutely be back. This was our first time ordering at the new location. We tried the burritos, enchiladas, steak quesadilla, steak tacos, chips and salsa. The food was tasty but portions for some were small. The food wasn't really warm but had a mix up with our food and we were sent home with the wrong order. We had to return to get our food so we lost some time there. I really liked the steak quesadilla but my boyfriend didn't like the enchiladas and wouldn't get them again. The salsa was great! read more

We have now tried this restaurant a few times, and I purposely withheld my opinion after prior visits to give them a chance. While the food is better than average and nicely priced, the service is awful. Two of the three times that we have tried this restaurant, they managed to screw up our order. To make matters worse, since they don't deliver, there was no option other than to go back myself or have someone miss out on dinner. I can't remember the last time I've been in this situation elsewhere that the staff wouldn't either offer some sort of reduced charge or a bonus order. They just said, "sorry, oh well. I really like this place. The food is good we order lunch at least once a week from here. Most of the office gets the taco salad which is huge and very very good. I get the burrito enchilado style it is very good. Lots of food for the money. My boss sometimes gets the burgers never really herd him complain about them. It dose take a little bit to get the food buts that is okay because they make it fresh for you right there. The guacamole is super tasty and fresh with fresh made chips. The staff is friendly as well. For good Mexican food that is a good price this is the place!! read more

The service was different than other restaurants. You had to order and pay for the food first and then the waitress brings it to you. I ordered a steak taco, shrimp taco and a fish taco. The steak taco was the best. The shrimp was okay and the fish taco was the worst. I thought it would be fresh fish but it appeared to be frozen fish sticks. The price was reasonable, but will look around to see if there are other mexican places to eat. read more

We went here for the first time. Dined in. We both got chicken burritos and chips with salsa. Food was authentic and tasty. Chicken was shredded, not strips. So good. Great price. My husband and I have been coming to Mexi Mac for years and have yet to be disappointed with the food. No, they do not deliver, and yes, sometimes the food takes a while to come out. It is also not as affordable as it once was. However, the food is fantastic and the staff friendly. We have yet to find something on the menu that is not good. I am obsessed with the chicken taco salad, my husband with the tongue tacos, and we are both fans of the fajitas and shredded pork quesadillas. I am hoping to start a trend by keeping it real here. I tried this place years ago when it was at the old location, based off the enthusiastic recommendation of someone I thought had the same taste as me. Long story short, I found out we had very different tastes. Fast forward 5 years, and I find myself in the same situation. The exact details of why I am giving this place 1 star are not that important. 1 star may be too low, but that is because I went in there with high expectations after reading other people's reviews. After reading some of the reviews, I have to call the opinion and integrity of some of the yelpers into question. I can overlook the fact that my order was wrong, I'm not even that bothered that I was overcharged for their mistake. That is not what this review is about. I expect the restaurant to exaggerate the quality of the product, but not some of the yelpers. I was hoping to get some authentic Mexican food, and ended up with something along the line of Taco Bell or 7-Eleven. I think some people have been easily impressed due to the lack of Mexican food options in the area. In a realistic comparison to other places that serve similar food (Qdoba and Chipotle), this place was far and away the worst. If you are the type of person who considers edible food good enough, than you may enjoy this place. There is nothing authentic about this place. The carne asada in the tacos had good flavor but the taco shell was a store bought Taco Bell like shell. The rice tasted like the packaged Spanish rice one would make in a pinch. read more

LOVE Mexi Mac. Ok if you're looking for Qdoba or Chipotle Tex mex, this is not for you. I've been to Mexico many times and love authentic mexican food. Corn tortillas, verde enchiladas this place nails it. BYOB, you can drink whatever the f you want and don't have to tip on it, lucky you.
