Finally tried this place and I'm gonna be honest it was just ok. Food was mid, and nothing overly stands out. I did like the chips and salsa the sauce was good. Pretty good food and excellent service by Alex. Love the ambiance!! Did not care for the warm hot sauce flavor that comes with their very tasty and light homemade chips. Delicious pork chop (tender and flavorful with a nice sauce on the side), very fresh marinated shrimp, and guacamole. The shrimp and corn tacos were too sweet my wife thought (tasted like honey added) and she didn't like the bland flavor of the corn/hibiscus tortillas. Disappointed in the flavor of the chocolate avocado cake - light chocolate cake but hard white filling was too sugary we thought. It's very disappointing whenever you come to get a drink at the bar and get greeted with such a bitchy mood. Like no hi or anything. We went last night which was a Friday night to go grab a drink at the bar our favorite drink which is la catrina. Had been craving it for a while with my partner. It had been so long since we last went. Went and sat down nobody greeted us. Finally the blonde lady came to bring us menus but in a bitchy mood like she was mad we walked in. After then nobody came up to ask what we wanted to drink. 3 guys cleaning up the bar plus the blonde lady that was there and sadly she also looked like a manager or something. l have worked at restaurants before and man I was always happy to receive a table that would come in whenever we were an hour away from closing because you just never know. We were the ones who called the guy to come grab our drink order. After, not once came up to ask if we'd like to grab another one. So disappointing because my partner and I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old who were at my parents so we could have a date night out. We were having such a good time and Mexican sugar ended up ruining our mood. We left and that tip was $4 could've been more but definitely didn't feel welcomed. read more

Really bad experience with service. The waiter was pleasant but he was hard to find, and rarely came to the table. We ordered an appetizer that was never brought to the table. They also refused to allow us to pay in cash due to being a "cashless" establishment. This is strange and not normal - I've never heard of a sit-down restaurant that refuses to accept cash. Manager said the cashless sign was posted outside on the door, but on our way out we looked and a very small sign was posted but it was nowhere near eye level. You wouldn't see the sign if you aren't looking for it. We will not be back. Great food but not worth the bad service at all. Really bad experience. We were given a "free appetizer" voucher card for our next visit, but we absolutely will not be back. read more

I love the other locations but had not had a chance to visit this new one in Addison. We had a small group and were greeted with professionalism and courtesy. Our waiter was okay. He didn't seem interested in serving our group and made a remark about this is not a Texmex establishment which no one asked. Some of our meals were overcooked especially the chicken fajitas, which had pieces that were burnt. Another person didn't get part of their order until we were ready to leave. The drinks were watered down as well, even the sodas. This was the only location that I didn't have a good experience. read more

bf took me here for my birthday! the food was so yummy. my favorite was the chips and salsa, the salsa was warm and so flavorful. we both had chicken enchiladas and we enjoyed them! the presentation on the mole enchiladas was a nice touch. also, our drinks were very tasty! they gave me surprise flan since it was my birthday and it was great, i've never had it before! the service could have been a bit better, we received our meals without utensils and had to wait an extra few minutes for them. even still, i can see us coming back! read more

We arrived and stood at the entrance about 5 min. and not a soul came by. We finally sat ourselves at the bar. We were looking for a place that served piña coladas. Whatever they gave us only tasted like pineapple. The Arepas were lukewarm and the meat did not taste good, it really had a weird taste. I barely ate one. The tacos al pastor were not hot and the tortillas were too thick and hard. The rice was spicy. The refried beans and the salsa was good. I was so disappointed with the food. Not a good experience, Sat at the bar and was greeted quickly, ordered a top shelf margarita and it was just ok, tasted too sour. I then ordered carne asada tacos and they came quickly, but with toppings on them not even listed on the menu. I told the bartender and she said she doesn't know why the menu doesn't say it, but that's the way it usually comes. She did offer to remake them. They came out again with totally different toppings than the first time and different from the menu, plus no rice and beans. I've been here several times now and sat in the dining and the bar. We now only sit at the bar because of the service and the drinks. Ask for Tracy if you are here. She's got the menu down, makes a great drink (ask for a Mezcalita!), and actually knows how to hold a conversation without missing a beat.
