Our server was extremely attentive (he had shoulder length blonde hair). He was very nice and made the experience amazing. We got guacamole that was really good and was made table side. I got chicken tacos, my mom got enchiladas and my dad got tortilla soup. We all decided the tortilla soup was out of this world as it is so hard to find good tortilla soup. The restaurant was so large and clean. I almost felt it as in a fancy restaurant because of how well the decor and space was used. The bathrooms were extremely large and inviting which you don't see often. Overall everything was clean and delicious.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with family friends and our children. Nice feeling in this place though it's a little cramped. Service was good, though it seemed like they were stretched a little too thin. The guacamole appetizer that we ordered was phenomenal. Would recommend it to anyone. My enchiladas with Verde sauce were very good as well.

Eight percent charge for using a credit card.

Beware. I didn't see it in the online menu. I didn't see it in the actual menu. I didn't have cash. I was charged over eight percent for using a credit card. I had the paella. The rice was overcooked and mushy. It was as if they used the same rice that was used for rice and beans (which came with my wife's order) and cooked it again for the paella. My wife had the fajitas. It came with three small tortillas for a decent amount of filling. Six tortillas would have been an appropriate number. I don't know anyone who likes to eat the shells on the tails of shrimp. For some reason, that's how the shrimp were served. It also seemed like they didn't have a waiter assigned to our table. It took almost fifteen minutes for someone to take our drink order. On the otherhand, the sweet plantains were really good. Really, really good.

Mexcla is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Newtown. It has a fun vibe with the table lay outs and cool bar area. We had a late lunch here a few weeks ago and enjoyed everything from drinks to appetizers and entrees. The tableside guacamole was especially fresh and good! Empanadas and the accompanying sauce were also very good! Service was friendly and prompt as well.

    Guacamole and Salsa.

Pleasant place with very good food. Table made Guacamole is plentiful and to order of spiciness. Tacos well filled and a good value. Service friendly, just a little inexperienced.

My tacos after eating 2, and mug with my modelo beer

Went mex after church services, went in and was seated immediately, chips and salsa arrived immediately. Ordered modelo beer and steak tacos, service was really good and beer was paired perfectly with the tacos. Overall a really good experience.

What a great place! Margaritas, service and Fajitas are outstanding! Guac too. Covered outside seating is a really nice touch too.

They had a little booklet menu of at least a dozen espresso martini variations with high quality liquor and specialty liqueurs from multiple countries. If you're not a drinker and want a coffee in the morning, to catch up on work or meet some friends, this is still a cute place. They serve espresso drinks all day.

From my understanding, it is a Christmas "pop-up" called Miracle. Since we just showed up without reservations, we sat at the bar, which was totally fine with us. The bartenders were very nice and offered up some recommendations. It turned out, my friend had gone to a Miracle pop-up at another bar weeks before, but hadn't realized it. The space is cozy and was very nicely decorated. I ordered an espresso martini off of their regular menu and my friend ordered the Candy Cane Lane. We didn't order food since we had dinner plans after. Our bill was $37.00, plus the $6 we left for a tip. For two cocktails that were good, but not fantastic, that is a little steep in my opinion. If we each had a second cocktail, it would have been close to $100. It's a bar in Newtown, not the casino. Would I go back? I would, just not during the holidays, and maybe a special occasion.

Unassuming from the outside, this local treasure opens into a cozy restaurant and event space with exceptional food and drink. Between the crackling fireplace, plush lounge seating, warm wood accents, sleek bar, and navy banquettes, the atmosphere feels both inviting and refined. The bartenders and entire staff were warm, polished, and genuinely attentive, creating an experience centered around the guest. My martini was aggressively shaken and served in a short coupe, topped with a delicate layer of ice crystals; despite the chill, the vodka-to-vermouth ratio was perfectly balanced. It was garnished with stellar Castelvetrano olives, freshly opened and proudly presented as an elevated touch to the classic cocktail. As for the fare, it was hands down one of the best meals I've enjoyed in quite some time. The Wagyu coulotte was cooked to perfection, accompanied by expertly prepared oyster mushrooms and crisp shoestring tallow fries. I could go on and on about the experience, but I'll simply say I can't wait to return. The thoughtful details and genuine hospitality made for an outstanding night out. We ordered the falafel as an appetizer and I will dream of this! You could tell it was freshly made and I don't think I'll ever have falafel that tastes better anywhere else! I had the shepherds pie, and it was delightful. There was a lot of beef and it had a lot of flavor.. even the potatoes had an incredible flavor and it was more than enough as a serving! The waitress was very sweet and accommodating - even with their technology down. 10/10 would recommend!

Andrew was friendly, attentive, and accommodating especially with my vegetarian request and even making an off-menu espresso martini. Food: Ordered Salsa and guacamole were great, though some chips were overly salty. Tacos were the highlight cauliflower, mushroom, and fried avocado were perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. Others at the table loved the pork belly, jerk shrimp, and chicken options. My husband loved the coconut sauce on jerk chicken and mentioned he felt he was having something out of a Thai food menu. Glazed pork belly was cooked to the perfection and loved the flavor. Our friends in the table ordered chicken Chorizo and mentioned they will be visiting again to try more. I am looking forward to coming here during warmer weather and trying out more food. Dessert- Tres leches had a noticeable cinnamon flavor, not my favorite, but not a dealbreaker. Overall Great food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. Easy to locate.

Very friendly and approachable, and on the money with her descriptions and opinions on food and drink. Where our visit fell short was mainly two things. 1. The Margaritas are weak. Not enough tequila or mezcal. I'm not I fan of the orange liqueur they use (too sour) and the Joven tequila just doesn't make for a flavorful drink. Give me a solid Reposado instead and use Cointreau for your liqueur and you'd have a banging Margarita. We were also not offered a salted rim. 2. The Chopped Salad. The ingredients are great. Unfortunately the bowl it's served in is far too small and it was absolutely soaked in dressing. There was a pool of it left at the bottom of the bowl. The tacos are street style, which I love. We had 5. Jerk Shrimp, Baja Fish, Hangar Steak, Duck and Peruvian Chicken. All were absolutely delicious, with the Duck and Hangar Steak being the standouts. Guacamole was good, though the portion is small. Large round chips were different z, bud good and flavorful. Those two minor issues and this place would be a 5. It certainly would not stop us from going back. Definitely worth checking out!
