Convenient, quick and affordable lunch near Rokin station. They offer breakfast foods and sandwiches, and have a full bar. Prices were fair, less than €10/sandwich which came with a side salad. I got a tosti - the Gorgonzola, Serranoham, grapes and walnuts. It was delicious! Similar to a grilled cheese sandwich, it was served hot with a piece of Spanish ham, a few grapes and few walnuts. It was very cheesy and the side salad was a nice surprise and delicious too. Quick service. Accept cash and card. Free WiFi.

Best service, beer & bathroom (I didn't eat). They have toliet seat wipes! The bathroom is clean. For women, this is special

After seven days in AMS, this restaurant has the best service, beer & bathroom (I didn't eat). The bathroom smells like flowers & it's not a strong smell. They have toliet seat wipes! For women, this is special

Swiss Omelette, toast, greens salad, espresso coffee

This is a nice little cafe in the Rokin (Centrum) area of Amsterdam a block off the Metro. It is a quieter area than closer to Central Station. We had an ice breakfast that included Swiss Omelette (Gruyere cheese, bacon, mushroom), eggs & sausage and Pancake with Nutella. The Omelette was also served with a small greens salad and toast. The pancake was very large but thin with a texture of almost a crepe. Our Server was pleasant and spoke clear English.

Cappuccino. Highly recommended.

Nice to sit outside for coffee or cocktails and people watch. Staff was prompt and did not rush us like the French waiters do when visiting France.

Would give 3.5 stars to the food/drink, but the atmosphere gets it to a 4 star rating! Searched what's nearby to find my lunch spot... and under this beautiful weather, this cafe with outdoor seats seem to be perfect. I ordered omelette with bacon and cheese - it came with two slices of toasts and small salad - and cappuccino. The cappuccino is average, I personally prefer my cappuccino to have stronger coffee taste than simply milky flavor. The omelette is dry.... like it's overlooked/hard omelette with salty bacon (it's really salty). It's not the worst but definitely not the best. Overall this place is not for "decent food," but if you just want to have some coffee and do people watching, it's a great spot to do so!

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

Our first stop in Amsterdam for a late lunch. We ordered mushroom bruschetta, 1 medium boca…read moreplatter(meat, cheese, fish), three kinds of fries and of course STEAK TARTARE. The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!

Fantastic ambiance. Friendly service. Excellent food and drink options…read more Casual, trendy, comfy spot for just coffee or a full meal. - Coconut Coffee: A delicious iced drink, rich in coconut and strong coffee flavors. - Royal Apple Juice: Very refreshing blend of apple, carrot, ginger & lime juice. - Kimchi Toast: Good, filling. Not too spicy at all. - Smoked Mackerel Sandwich: A whole, huge mackerel fish is served atop this toast. Yum! Bathrooms are located on European first floor (for Americans, that's not the ground floor. It's equivalent to the 2nd floor).
