Doesn't look like a lot from the outside, but a very cute and pretty good quality café inside. I went for lunch with two girlfriends when we were super hungover and it was so good. The bacon avocado egg sourdough breakfast sandwich is great and a must try. We also got truffle fries to share. My friend had the lobster mac & cheese which was pretty good but very expensive. The French toast was also absolutely amazing!

Great food, only thing is that the waiting time is quite long. The staff is very friendly and the food is good, if the waiting time is approved then definitely 5 stars.

So I just had a wonderful lunch here at Metropolitain with my friend after lunch. I know today is only Tuesday, but the food in this cafe literally made my day. So I ordered a beef tartare with a cup of ice coco-cafe and my friend ordered Poached eggs Norwegian style with a cup of hot soy-latte. It was an amazing lunch I swear! Will come back again!

This is THE dessert place in Amsterdam! They have a lot of baked goods, strawberry dipped in chocolate and canoli as some ice cream but my favourite was their mini deutsch pancakes served with their Hazelnut chocolate sauce. A must! The place have few seats to eat in or if the weather allows it,grab your dessert and have it by the canal. They do have also a hot chocolate drink but it was a big miss for me. They offer it in 3 sizes and the smallish very strong in chocolate while the medium is the same amount of chocolate mixed with milk. It was lacking flavour.

Great brunch spot! The Bloody Mary they make is awesome. Eggs Benedict was good, the steak and eggs was even better. Great start to a Saturday in Amsterdam. Menu has a couple light options too. Service was super friendly.

We got the name of this restaurant from a local guy we met a bar; and it was really good. We had a the poached eggs along with the french toast and they have great options for fresh juice and the staff was also really nice friendly. Overall, I highly recommend it!

One of my favourite places for brunch! Try the green acai bowl or the eggs veggies for a good healthy option! I haven't tried their crepes, but my friend did and said they were amazing :) also everything here is highly instagrammable, which is a big plus... Also the brioche bread is nice and fluffy

Sweet little Café right in the heart of Amsterdam. Food was very tasty but the portion could have been bigger.

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

Our first stop in Amsterdam for a late lunch. We ordered mushroom bruschetta, 1 medium boca…read moreplatter(meat, cheese, fish), three kinds of fries and of course STEAK TARTARE. The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!

Fantastic ambiance. Friendly service. Excellent food and drink options…read more Casual, trendy, comfy spot for just coffee or a full meal. - Coconut Coffee: A delicious iced drink, rich in coconut and strong coffee flavors. - Royal Apple Juice: Very refreshing blend of apple, carrot, ginger & lime juice. - Kimchi Toast: Good, filling. Not too spicy at all. - Smoked Mackerel Sandwich: A whole, huge mackerel fish is served atop this toast. Yum! Bathrooms are located on European first floor (for Americans, that's not the ground floor. It's equivalent to the 2nd floor).
