    Babaganoush and avocado sandwich
    Asia L.

Vinnies is a very small, charming place. It's got a ny coffee bar meets Amsterdam hipster cafe style. The interior is painted all white which helps to open up this low-ceilinged cottage and let the artwork shine. It's decorated with lots of hip vintage furniture and bicycles that are for sale. Everyone was right on for the babaganoush and avocado sandwich. A bit pricey, but it's very tasty. Has a beautiful touch of olive oil and sprouts. The frittata was good, and quite light, but I'd recommend the sandwich instead. They had some pretty salads and a few desserts at the front that I'd be keen to try next time.

This place is also known as Vinnies Deli. Nice restaurant. Service was excellent. The food is very good but it's not inexpensive. A pretty good choice for breakfast if you're in the area.

Such a cute place! I grabbed a quick brunch here before catching a train at Amsterdam Centraal (~6 min walk from the station). The service was timely (you can either grab and go or do table service, both were fast). The soy cappuccino was good but the Mexican eggs that I got were the highlight! Def would recommend and go back the next time I'm in Amsterdam!

    The curry bread looks delish

I like the white and calm interior at this place in the Haarlemmerstraat, and the dishes look great, but it's not my favourite when it enhances flavour. Today I had bread with curry and pickles for lunch. It was ok, but the taste a bit flat. The curry was too sweet in my opinion, and the combination with the pickles didn't really fit. Thereby the portions could be bigger, for me. I would go here for a coffee, and lunch somewhere else.

Lovely cafe serving delicious healthy food and cakes. Place full of character, service was very nice, definitely will go back!

Amazing scramble on toast with added bacon!

Great breakfast place, a little on the expensive side but you can be sure of the quality of the produce.

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!
