We loved our food. Ambiance is great. Our server was great. It was late and the prefect way to end the night.

This is a perfect little spot right by the train station. Was told to try here as their pancakes was just as nice as the place across the street but less of a line/wait. We were able to get in without a wait but if you plan to come in the evening definitely recommend making a reservation as the location is small and seems to be popular with the locals. Food was good and service was fast.

We had breakfast here and we're delighted. The service was fast and friendly and our food was delivered hot and quickly. I had the apple crepe and my partner had the chocolate crepe, which came with both dark and white chocolate. We also had a bowl of vegan yogurt with strawberries and it was delicious. We loved that the music being played was classic jazz and the decor of the restaurant is beautiful art nouveau. The price was right and I highly recommend this restaurant.

We wanted a snack, something light but also a place to sit and plan our day. The staff was friendly and attentive! The menu had nice options. This place fills up fast! We shared a slice of apple pie. It was huge! But more importantly it was delicious! Plus we also shared a sausage and cheese tray. It was so filling though, we had to skip dinner. Mmmm and the bread they served it with tastes so fresh!!! We would definitely return. This is a great location in the center of all your tourist spots to regroup and get some sustenance!

This was our first stop in Amsterdam since it's literally right across the street from central station. The location is awesome because after a long day of traveling it was quick and easy to find without having to wait for long lines or sit outside in the cold. I enjoyed the decor of this spot it was very young and hip reminding me a lot of walking into an urban outfitters or Anthropologie store. The employees were all really nice and attentive. I had ordered the black coffee and ginger apricot pancake. I thought the coffee was great, strong just like I like it. The pancake for me was a different experience just because it definitely is not like the pancakes that we have in the states. The pancake was as thin as a crepe and it wasn't super sweet. It was a nice change I definitely felt healthy eating it, but I probably would order something else to try the next time I go.

I'm all about a restaurant with a view and this one has a great one overlooking the canal in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. Had a nice spontaneous lunch. The eggs were a tad underdone but still yummy! And it was a greatly sized space with very high ceilings.

A cute café near the Grand Central Station, it's a convenient bite, and the food is quite good. It's basically modern fusion with a Netherlands touch. There was a stage in this small space, although nobody was playing at the time. The walls are festooned with funky murals. Special mention of the bathroom, which is a weird work of art in itself, with the tiling and angles reminiscent of a Gaudi building. Service was very friendly if, like with most of Europe, slow. The wife, chatting with the server, also learned that a key element of the "Dwaze Zaken" experience is that all the ingredients are locally sourced. Of course, buyer beware on this review as it is the view of a tourist, and not a local.

Stopped in for late dinner and wish I just walked a little further to where we were staying. Kids had ravioli and steak and I had the fondue. This was my first time having fondue and I didn't like it. The decor and history of the space is cool but the food was mediocre at best and overpriced. Skip this place!

One of the few Christian business owners in Amsterdam & it was an absolute pleasure. Sweet employees, Delicious food, I got the English Breakfast, and it was SO yummy! We will be coming back again for fondue for dinner!

It is a salad with of course lentils, but also goats cheese and nuts and it tastes delicious! I thought all the salads on the menu looked really good so I really want to come back soon. You can also create your own salad and choose all the ingredients. I also a had juice; apple/pear/mint. Delicious! Well it should be because its pretty damn expensive. 5 euros, and not even a big glass.. But well, it was good. There is also free water which is nice. The interior was beautiful and cozy. It's not your typical "dinner out" spot--it's a humble counter inside a subway station--but the food is arguably some of the best Surinese soul food in Amsterdam. Why it's worth the stop: * The Sandwiches: The Broodje Pom is the star here. It's flavorful, authentic, and served on a fresh roll. * Efficiency: They move through the line fast. It's the ultimate grab-and-go meal that actually feels homemade. * Authenticity: It's local, unpretentious, and consistently high quality. Things to know: It is located inside the station, so there's no "ambience" to speak of and seating is very limited. It's definitely more of a "stand and eat" or "take it to the park" kind of place. Overall: It might not be a fancy sit-down experience, but for the price and the flavor, it's easily one of the best quick bites in the city.

We came during the dinner rush and it was packed inside. Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to order so I asked for recommendations. We tried the noodles with beef, and rice with chicken. It's relatively affordable given the large portions. Tasty and reminded me of a mix of Chinese and Indian food. I found an eyelash in my noodles though :(
