What a cute concept! I've heard about Metrobar but finally went recently. During the cooler evenings, there are heaters for the outside seatings, and inside the car is just as toasty. Ordering is a little weird. You can order drinks from the bar or scan the QR code. However, when using the QR code, the drinks come from outside, not made by the bartender in the metro car. There's also food on side where you can go outside and order or you can scan the food QR code. However, ordering from the QR code, you have to pick up the food a little ways down from the bar. Now that the concept is more understood, it'll be easier for me to order more appropriately.

We had never been to this place even though we live half a mile from here. One of our friends recommended this place. Unfortunately, it was so packed that we hardly got to enjoy the location. We didn't realize it was the finals of the women's soccer league and the spirits were playing in it. It was packed with the fans. They have a couple of food truck options - Jamaican and pizzas. I ordered the Jamaican food and my friend ordered the pizza. Unfortunately, the Jamaican truck ran out of most of their meat options. I ordered their chickpeas and rice and patty. It was alright. Pizza was very good. Nice thin slices with lots of flavor. We will go back on a calmer evening and try it out again.

This place is really cool and unique. It's mostly an outdoor bar, but it has a stage and it has an actual metro car where you can hang out. This is in a really cool area of town and there's lots going on. You can see bands here or just get a drink with friends in the sunshine. It's a lot of fun!

Cool experience here, after hearing about it from various friends we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. I tried the Calamansi Bee's Knees and it was really good, with tons of flavor. Service was good, no complaints there. Our bartender was really knowledgable and accommodating our questions. The prices are decent and average for DC. I'd love to check it out during an event or with a larger group.

A really rad spot to grab a drink and socialize. This is a place I will usually stop in before or after I catch a movie at the movie theater across the street. I love the vibe and the setup. You can chill with a cocktail or beer in the metro cars. Always good service and prices that are comparable to other locations in DC of the same caliber. Even better at night with the fire pits.

I visited metro and to see DJ Double A. The mission of metro bar is to connect people with DC culture through entertaining, collaborative, arts-driven, and authentic experiences. The vibe is nice on a summer day. I recommend bringing a fan because there is outdoor seating. The music is loud and they have cool games to play that are laid out on the tables. It's the perfect place to met if you want to hangout with a group of people and not all be on the same tab. The staff are nice and mocktail I enjoyed was very refreshing.

I caught a bug and my Big Spoon made me get out of the house. He wanted to try Metrobar DC. I've been several times since it's close to the Alamo, he was late to the party and it's not often that he is. (Usually I am) Food trucks are usually plentiful but the day we went, only one was available so we tried it. Service was great as it was a weekday, no lines, not many people. Ambiance is SUPER chill! My Honey loved it so, we are sold! Definitely coming again in the summer when it's more vibey!

Metrobar is such a fun bar. There's are huge amounts of space and different areas to sit. It's such a fun atmosphere. The drink menu was very diverse and I love the creativity they have with naming the drinks. I like that they have different food trucks that come there. The bartenders were very friendly and my drinks definitely didn't taste weak. I would definitely got back.

Ahhh thank you so much for the terrific service! You MUST CHECK OUT it's so so so cute, amazing photo opportunities! The bar tender "Post Malone" gave exceptional service all jokes aside he was very welcoming. Drinks were quick and easy! Price was great ! I had a great time at metro bar and really enjoyed my experience. I would most definitely recommend on going the area has great opportunities to continue exploring and having a great time! If you have anyone from out of town I would bring them here ! Security was great as well! Thank you team ! -tiny out

I came to Metrobar for a Black Wine and Spirits Festival. The concept is truly unique, a bar inside of a train car. The only downside, no air conditioning whatsoever. They rely on fans and with a heatwave like today, that does not cut it. There are seating options inside the train and outside, which is ideal for an event with vendors like today.

Super cool concept and I love the conversion of the old Metro car into a bar - definitely can see it's value as a venue space since there was lots of indoor and outdoor seating and different areas that you could rope off. But the drink menu was underwhelming and pricy - including tip I dropped $20 on a passionfruit margarita that was tiny, served in a plastic cup, and garnished with a lime. Admittedly I don't drink really so maybe that's the norm but I wasn't impressed.

Came here a second time with friends and our dogs and it was still a great location. We sat in the turf area which needs their own QR codes for ordering.

Came here yesterday for New Balance appreciation day! I finally made it after wanting to come for months. It was of course busy because of the event. Seeing everyone in their NB sneakers while listening to Gogo and surrounded of metro things reminding us natives of the city that this is our city. I loved the drinks, the layout of the space. And will definitely be back.

What an...interesting experience…read more This bar sits on top of the Moxy Hotel, which is a sleek, modern spot in downtown DC. Unfortunately, getting to the rooftop was one of the most frustrating parts of the night. Access is only through the lobby, and the security team handling crowd control was completely disorganized. We were constantly being redirected with conflicting instructions: told to line up around the bar, then yelled at to move to the wall, then called to the elevator, then scolded for approaching it. It felt chaotic and unnecessarily hostile, like we were being managed instead of welcomed. To make things worse, IDs were checked multiple times (3-4 times per person) because there was no clear or centralized process. We were attending a birthday party that the venue itself had advertised on Instagram with ~75 guests expected at 9pm. When we arrived, we were told the rooftop was "closed" until 10. After waiting an hour in the lobby bar and dealing with the confusion above we finally got upstairs...only to find it already packed with people who had clearly been there for hours. The "reserved section" for our group was extremely underwhelming: a small space directly in front of a very loud DJ booth and a cold back corner where the heat lamps didn't work (and staff said there was nothing they could do). Service was just okay...no one was particularly friendly, but orders were eventually filled. The bar was oddly limited (only one beer option: Michelob Ultra), and some bartenders seemed unsure about basic drink requests (like a vodka soda with pineapple). The biggest issue came when we asked for the birthday cake we had given to staff earlier for storage. No one knew where it was. It took over 30 minutes and multiple staff members to locate it, and when we finally left for the night, the cake box was damaged beyond use with no remorse. Overall, this is much more of a crowded, club-style rooftop than a place for a planned event, dinner, or even conversation. The view is nice, but the experience didn't match the hype. If you go, expect a party vibe and minimal service and be prepared to navigate some very confusing (and inconsistent) security direction.
