We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and were greeted by Joseph (Joe). He was very attentive, responsive, and he listened well to what we were looking for. While I completely understand that he needed to show us all our options, he helped us realize that we only really needed a base, as opposed to a box spring to go with our mattress. He explained all our options VERY well, and did not pressure us at all to buy anything we didn't need (even if it meant that we were spending less money in store). The fact that he offered us cold water to drink was such a nice touch, it put both me and my husband at ease. We will definitely be returning to this particular location, and working closely ONLY with Joe in the future. The delivery of the item was very smooth, and the delivery people were very communicative throughout the process. They explained everything to my husband (who, fortunately, was able to be home to receive the item), and they were VERY helpful in removing our old box spring from the premises. I bought my Duxiana 515 mattress in November of 2014 from Duxiana in Greenwich. As anyone who has…read morebought a mattress before would know the industry can be very confusing and deceiving. I was hoping that stepping into this realm of mattress would be different and provide a more transparent sales process. I became interested in Duxiana after having issues with sleeping hot and beds that retained too much heat. I spoke with the manager of the store who assured me that this bed would not do that because it is made from all natural materials and therefore it "breathes". I spent $12,000 buying a king size mattress believing the idea that what you pay for is what you get and therefore in theory a more expensive mattress should be a better mattress and therefore provide a better nights sleep. Buying this mattress was the WORST purchase that I have ever made. The 2 inch thick piece of "latex" foam absorbs so much heat that I have to get up in the middle of the night to allow the bed to cool down. The bed is incredibly bouncy so anytime your partner moves you will feel it. Almost like a water bed. My wife and I both feel like we have trouble falling back to sleep after being woken up with more difficulty in this bed then any other. My advice to anyone considering this bed would be to try EVERY other mattress with a comfort guarantee first. In an industry selling comfort, Duxiana is one of the only manufacturers that does not provide a comfort guaranty. After buying the mattress and having so many issues with it I called the company and got directed to the CEO. I offered to pay a restocking fee to have the mattress returned. I was told that they don't guarantee comfort and that you can't please everyone but "most" people like it so they are ok with that. The owner of the Greenwich Store (more on that in a minute) "tried" to help but ultimately did not provide any refund and I am still out all the money I spent and I am currently shopping for a new mattress. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention some things I learned about the company during this whole process. First, I believed from the website and the way the company presents itself that the company owns all of its stores. This is not true. The Greenwich store is basically a privately owned small business which sells Duxiana beds. This is important to note for 2 reasons. One is that any promotions furnished by the stores are not cross honored so if you receive a merchandise credit while purchasing your bed you cannot use it at other stores. The other is that if you have a problem with your bed the company directs you to deal with the store owner. I felt comfortable with this purchase because I felt like I was dealing with a large company who would "make it right" if something was wrong. Also, if you plan on staying in a hotel which happens to use Duxiana beds in their rooms you should know that the beds in the rooms are not sold in stores. They are a bed produced for the hotel industry and therefore not entirely representative of the bed you will be buying in your home. In short there is absolutely no way to tell if you will like this bed and nothing you can do about it if you dont; well, except lose $12,000. Take my advice. Look elsewhere.

I never felt "sold" to, instead, I felt like I was truly listened to--and that means everything to me as a customer. I left without purchasing anything (because I'm someone who needs time to reflect and think about things some more)--and then spent the next day going to 3 other Mattress Firm stores in the area, just to try different beds (as each store has slightly different inventory out on the floor). I finally made my decision on a mattress (and landed on a more expensive mattress than the one I had originally come in to buy)--but after having really bad experiences at each of the other stores (where one sales person literally would not stop talking, never listened, the other just kept trying to push the most expensive bed on the floor on me, etc.)--I drove an extra 15 miles out of my way just to return to this store, so that I could make my final purchase with Daniel. He had mentioned that he wouldn't be working today, but that Craig would be there--and wow, I had just as wonderful of an experience with Craig as I did with Daniel. Craig was incredibly kind, courteous and got me in and out of there in less than 30 minutes, without trying to upsell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. I am so, so grateful to both Daniel and Craig for treating me the way I like to be treated as a customer--giving me space to think, not pushing too hard on anything, straightforward and honest, and incredibly efficient. He advised us to go to Macy's which has the best selection. He never pressured us to buy. We did go to Macy's plus one other store but ultimately decided that Craig had the best bed for the best price. We appreciated the time he took and the no-pressure approach. I was looking for a sofa about 85" long for my new therapy office and another to replace a sofa&loveseat leather hand me down which was torn to pieces by my cats (don't buy leather if you have cats with claws). I'd been to Ramour & Flannagan, Home Sense, Home Goods, Macy's and a ridiculous amount of online stores but I kept going back to Bob's (4 times). 20 plus years ago i went to buy furniture in North Carolina (worth the trip if you're buying for multiple rooms) where I learned what to look for when buying furniture or at least what good furniture should look like and where to push and pull. I found R&F to be the worst and the other's to be fairly equal--ok, but expensive. Back in the day when I had kids I'd buy a new or used sofa every 2 to 3 years--it's all I could afford. Finally what I purchased in NC lasted 20 years through 2 children and one grand child! Most of Bob's furniture was fairly well made from what I could tell. The wood might not be real wood (I couldn't tell) but when I pushed on the outside ends of the sofa there was very little give which to me shows it will last longer. Anyway, I stumbled across DAVID when I asked some innocuous question and I stuck with him through the purchase. When you don't want GRAY it limits your choices but that was my steadfast rule. So I found two sofas and one matching chair that swiveled and rocked with delivery to two different rooms (one upstairs the other downstairs) all for UNDER $1,000. The things that went wrong were a price change on a sofa I had seen the day before for hundred's less and a Delivery glitch (came the next day). The prices in the outlet ranged from $20.00 for a corner section of a sectional sofa to just over $1,000 for a large nice looking sectional in good condition. Be sure to examine all your furniture before you leave. Don't forget to sit on it too! Here, David was great pulling it out for me so I could look all over because they mention there could be dents, scratches and tears, etc. The three pieces i purchased were all in excellent condition and arrived that way as well. As someone who worked in Community mental health for many years I would recommend to any non-profit looking to set up a room for adolescents in particular --you can probably furnish it for $250 or less.
