Buyers Beware‼‼‼ I went from purchasing a mattress to losing something far more valuable. After a delivery by Mattress Firm delivery people, a valuable personal item went missing from my home. My home was violated in a way I never expected from a retail delivery. What should have been a simple purchase turned into months of stress. What followed was unacceptable -- four months of no real investigation, no accountability, and no urgency. There wasn't even an apology from corporate. Instead, I was met with dismissive comments and implied blame. The store manager, district manager, and corporate leadership failed to take this situation seriously. Endless emails, deflection, and silence made it clear that customer safety and ethics are not a priority here. When I returned the mattress due to how poorly this was handled, I was blindsided again: the adjustable base was suddenly labeled "non-refundable" (never clearly disclosed), and I was charged for "free gift" items at inflated, above-market prices. This company prioritizes profits and commissions over customers. If you value transparency and accountability, shop elsewhere. read more

Rude salesman! I purchased MF Firm 15" Euro Top Mattress Queen Prime, and when I checked the price on the internet the next day, it was cheaper. I called and texted the salesman, Mark, but he ghosted me. The customer service said the district manager would return my call, but I have not heard back. It has been over one month. I tried returning the mattress, and they charge a $249.99 processing fee and a $99 delivery fee. The whole 120-night sleep trial is bogus. Read the fine line carefully, and don't be duped by the salesman, Mark. Also, the adjustable base costs $499.99, and they charge an additional $249.99 to return the base. So, I am out $500 for a hard rock mattress. BUT I RATHER LOSE $500 THAN GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS!!! Corporate need to do better in terms of customer service and after-sales. read more

He went over numerous options at different price points. While going over all of the options we were able to test out all of the mattresses. Robert wasn't pushy or tried rushing us. We visited a few Mattress stores before we ended up at Mattress Firm of Paramus. The other guys were selling mattresses for way more than we wanted to spend. We were assisted by Sales person, Joe. He was so very pleasant, took into consideration what we were looking for, what we wanted to spend and gave us options in less than 10 mins! Luckily for us, there was a 50% off sale on some selected mattresses. Joe was very straight forward with us and provided top notch service. He had us try out a couple of mattresses and shared his expertise on the subject. We purchased 3 mattresses (2 queens and a full) for right under $1,000. The other guys sell 1 for that price plus more depending on what you purchase. We purchased Sleepys (Mattress firms' brand). Don't waste your time looking somewhere else, visit Mattress Firm before the deal ends! Currently they are doing some construction to the front of the stores here but they are still open!! read more

We had a really great experience with Mark, who helped us select a mattress and made the check out process simple. Unfortunately, the mattress was unable to be delivered, and we asked for a refund. Mark's help stopped there. He insisted that corporate had to initiate a refund, and put in the request. It's been over a week. I contacted whoever runs the help chat on the Mattress Firm website, and they said they cannot access a store's order and that the representative who helped me at the store will be able to initiate the refund. They then said that a district manager will be in contact, but I have yet to hear from them. In short, the associates at Mattress firm Paramus Rte 17 are willing to help sell you a mattress, but not refund it when the mattress is not delivered. I repeat, we are not in possession of the mattress or frame that we purchased. We are also not in possession of the $2100 that we spent at Mattress Firm. Very happy with my experience! Joe was quick to point me to the mattresses that were within my comfort level and price range - he didn't try to convince to buy anything more expensive/fancier than I needed. I tested quite a few mattresses, and never felt stressed or rushed when doing so. Joe also did not hover when I was deciding between my last 2 options, which I very much appreciated. Once I picked out mattress (and box), Joe was efficient in the check-out process, and even saved me a bit of money by recommending I not ask for set-up! He didn't try to push any product and explained in detail which mattress would work for me and my sciatic issues. Worst experience ever with delivery. The driver cornered me in my house. Never felt unsafe with delivery before. Didn't have my phone with me. Took several minutes of screaming "get our" before he let me pass. Refused the order. He damaged my newly painted walls too. They took pictures of my house before they left. Makes me feel even more unsafe now. Was quite traumatic. Ordered from someone else and got the same mattress $500 less. If you ever order from these people... (which you shouldn't do imo).. make sure there's a big guy with you and watch like a hawk. Definitely don't be a woman alone like me. And definitely keep your phone in your hand. read more

If your looking for a mattress, make sure you do lots of research and know how big of mark ups there are and what to look out for. I went in, pretty much knew what I wanted and got a good deal. Anthony helped me out and was great. Gave me an extra discount, next day delivery/haul away and a quick and easy transaction. At first, walking to the door I felt like turning around. It's probably been the same way since the 1970s. The old red carpet, thin metal doors and sleezy looking interior. Looked like a cheap motel. They did have the biggest selection of mattresses in the area though. Other than its looks, I would recommend this location to others looking for a mattress. Just do your research and never purchase a mattress if its not on sale! read more

I had a great experience with Anthony, mgr. of this location. I picked the wrong mattress, a demonstrator, the first time. I am not a young person and got confused by the on-line claim form to get a credit. He helped me find a different mattress, helped me with the claim form and sent out nice delivery men to set it up and take away the first one. Ordered a queen size box spring from this location for a great price. I was going to pick it up from the store in 2 days, then I realized I needed a metal bed frame as well. I called back the following day and spoke to a new salesperson who added it to the order. He told me I had to pick up everything at the clearance center in Hasbrouck Heights. That wasn't what I was originally told. So, I called back the next day and got my original salesperson on the line. He checked the order and realized the 2nd salesperson had accidentally switched the pickup point. He spoke to his manager and they worked out a solution that was so helpful and thoughtful, it went beyond my definition of good customer service. Many thanks to Anthony Giordano and Jay Lucas. You guys went above and beyond. This wasn't a high ticket sale, but I was treated like I'd purchased the most expensive mattress set in the store. Of note was that all of the mattresses I was shown were Hampton & Rhodes (Mattress Firm's house brand); I'm not sure if that was intentional or just based on the selection they had and my preferences but I ended up happy. Updated review of Sleepys. As mentioned before Sleepy's did not do anything to resolve my problem with the mattress in the form of some type of refund or exchange. Instead they offer me a credit line increase of one thousand and something. You know something Sleepy's. You must take people for idiots or think they just fell off a turnip truck. I have a small outstanding balance with you guys of like $400.00 and as soon as I pay it off, I am immediately giving you a call to cancel my account and shredding to pieces your credit card. You guys disgust me. My advice to anyone contemplating buying anything from these guys is DON'T once they have your money they clean their hands of any anything and everything. I recently visited the Rt. 17 Paramus Sleepy's location in search of a new bed and I was beyond satisfied with my purchase and the customer service I received. Knowing only the basics of picking a mattress, I was thrilled that Anthony Giordano was able to make buying a new mattress as easy and comfortable as possible. He was informative and down to earth. I felt like he was helping me make the right decision at every turn, he walked me through everything without me ever feeling dumb or pressured, from helping me decide which mattress was best for my kind of sleeping to which pillow I would get the best support from. I have cats and he had the forethought to mention an allergen mattress protector for my bed (which I love by the way because my cats shed and scratch and it took a toll on my last bed.)
