Very good breakfast as far as I'm concerned. I enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles, and the service was great

Great place!! I have been here a number of times and will keep coming back! I come here with family, friends or even alone! The food is great! Drinks are great! I even get some work done because the day shift bartenders keep me well stocked and happy! Great addition to the AIKEN community! read more

I had the Bissell Breakfast with a mimosa. Portions were nice and everything was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend wasn't very fond of the biscuits and gravy that he ordered but they easily replaced it for something else. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly and the manager checked on us twice. We will definitely be back read more

Chicken and waffles....SUPERB! HUGE big daddy breast..drum..and wing of fried Chicken. THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN I've had at a restaurant EVER. Definitely a big armed auntie in the back brining and frying those birds. Sweet and spicy sauce BOMB. I don't even remember the waffles because THAT CHICKEN. read more

This spot is a great place to go. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are practicing social distancing and cleaning every 30 minutes around the clock. Very good cooks one named Tony always deserves a tip, Brandon is the manager and does a great job and Christine or Debbie are my favorite waitresses. Very kind cool and collective environment with good food for a great price. read more

As a regular customer it was nice seeing Big Mike from Augusta come over to Aiken. The kitchen staff with Amberlyn and Bear made me feel comfortable with to quality of food as I sat at the food counter. Amberlyn was not only cooking but entertaining, amazing cook and customer service read more

Metro Diner in Aiken, SC is now open and a big success! I have been a fan of this franchise since discovering them in Augusta, GA last year but now they are just down the road from me. Wahoo! I enjoyed fish and chips during the soft opening this past weekend, benefiting Helping Hands, and chicken pot pie last night for dinner. Am meeting friends there tomorrow for lunch because everyone is excited to try this new restaurant and I am more than willing to go with them to try something else on the menu. Staff is attentive and food is fresh and tasty. Can't go wrong with Metro! read more

The staff were so sweet, from the greeter to the waitress. Good selection of food options even for this vegetarian. We had mimosas which were delish. Cute and clean. read more

There is absolutely no reason to expect anything other than a wonderful and delicious experience. It is my favorite restaurant in Augusta. Soon to be the same in Aiken. The staff and Management will take excellent care of you. read more

No improvisions of any kind are allowed on the menu. Ordered an Americano even explained how to make it with espresso and hot water and ended up getting straight espresso not even hot. Long waits and very poor service. read more

Friendly staff, tasty food, clean environment and $2.99 for a Bloody Mary or mimosa! A great hook for capturing the breakfast crowd!

Server Nicole is so sweet and awesome!!! She was so patient with a looooong order for six people and she did a great job! Great attitude and service. read more

I only ordered a salad as it was great! but McKenzi, our server, did a job with my kids orders and was awesome with our party.

I've had lunch at the Metro three times, the food is delicious, and the Staff is wonderful. I needed directions for someone who was meeting me there, several people helped with directions, one server took the time to talk my friend straight to the Diner by phone. The service is terrific. I have several friends from out of town, who, when they visit, only want to eat at the Metro, the food is delicious!! read more

Fancy, clean, hip. Surprising that Aiken can attract such a place. Food is typically plentiful, nicely listed and tasty. Staff is very friendly. read more

The food is delish! The portions are generous. The service was awesome! Today at the "soft opening" every single thing was spot on! Just hope that they keep up the great food and service, although a few hiccups should be expected. Was not disappointed today at all! read more

Decided to try this location to compare it to the one in Augusta. Will definitely keep going to the one in Augusta. Ordered the chicken and waffles, the chicken pieces that we were served were way smaller then the other location. They only gave us one syrup with hot sauce, not sure if they wanted us to share. When I asked the waitress that brought our food out if I could have my own she said yes but never came back. I had to ask someone else. My son ordered hashbrowns they were very greasy. Not impressed with the food. read more

Great breakfast every time! Service is always great, wait staff are very congenial, great choices.

This place is new, but so far impressed! I got the fruity waffle and my mother got the protein breakfast. The fruit was fresh and the waffle was great! The protein breakfast was definitely enough for 3 people so a to-go box was needed! Overall, welcome to the neighborhood and keep up the great work!! read more

Looking for breakfast in Aiken? Try Metro Diner. Great food, large portions, you won't find a better deal. True small town atmosphere, I will be going back for round 2 next time I am in the area. read more

Over priced less than quality food. Took way too long to get our ordered taken and food came more than 30 minutes later. Won't go back. Management responded and I appreciate that. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to eat lunch and ordered boneless wings for an appetizer and they were so good! I ended up ordering the spicy honey chicken sandwich for my entree and it was soooo good. There was so much chicken that came on the sandwich and it was amazing. My bf got the huevos rancheros and said it tasted amazing. Overall, 10/10 and our waitress was super friendly! Will definitely be going back to try their chicken and waffle! read more

Our server, Nicole, was awesome and the food was delicious. It was a good Birthday breakfast for my bride.

We love Metro Diner. Best Shrimp & Grits anywhere in Aiken. A special thanks to our amazing waitress Karen who was ever so helpful.

The service and food were incredible. We ordered the Oscar omelette and croissant French toast. Karen T. is THE BEST!

Excellent. Bartender was great and attentive. By far the best experience in Since I have come back home to Aiken.

After finally waiting for the buzz to wear down a bit, I finally wanted to see what the big fuss was about. I walked in with my husband before five o'clock and waited for probably five minutes before a server appeared to take our drink order. During this wait, what looked to be all the servers and manager on duty were standing around in groups talking. At the time, there were maybe three other tables in the restaurant. While the server was nice, the food I found to be a little disappointing. The fries were over cooked and the breading on the chicken tenders was lack luster. I will admit the Mac and Cheese was pretty good. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. I can't say that I'll be back based on the crappy service initially received in addition to average food. read more

Our second visit to the new Metro and it was five stars as the first visit. Great service, wonderful food and a relaxing atmosphere. Everyone appeared to be enjoying their time. Make the trip and you will come away as impressed as we have been. read more

When they first opened the food was amazing. I've had it 3 times in the last month and I get chicken and waffles. The chicken has had no flavor, which is sad because the first few times I went it was some of the best chicken around. For the price I will think twice before returning read more

Horrible service the food was burnt there was tables open and I had to ask to be seated after 20 minutes the food was cold and not cooked right just a very bad experience read more

I was out shopping all day with some great friends and we decided to stop at the Metro diner in Aiken! Great food! We had chicken Parmesan, meatloaf, seafood platter and a club sandwich! All food was fresh and the service was excellent! read more

This evening I witnessed (overheard) a very rude customer treat one of the workers like garbage. The customer acted in a state of violence verbally and physically. I saw as she slammed her hands on the table and cursed in front of her child towards their server. I think everyone nearby especially us heard the commotion. The SERVER was very PROFESSIONAL and handled everything adequately to the obnoxious, customer's needs. The server knows who she is if she's reading this..I was very impressed with how she managed to express PROFESSIONALISM in a overly stressful situation. However, I am not impressed with management due to the conditions of customer's rights in a working environment. The customer should have been given an untimatum, or simply escorted out the door. Food was good as always, but inconvenient with the intervention of a disgruntled customer. read more

Stopped in this morning to grab breakfast. The diner is super clean and the waitress (Debbie) was friendly and inviting. Coffee was hot and good. Chocolate milk was REAL chocolate milk! The sausage gravy and biscuits were to die for AND it was two big biscuits. I eat a lot but couldn't finish. Our table also had Western omelet, linked and patty sausage, pancakes. None of us could finish all our food. You get so much! It's our new favorite place. Home cooked food at its finest. read more

Great food and service. I love the protein breakfast. Great management team. It's my favorite breakfast place.

Well if I could I would give it a 1/3 of a star. First service was snail slow. Had to beg for a drink refill. the hamburger was over seasoned plus mushrooms and Swiss cheese you need the mushroom and they were out. The prices are really overpriced for the quality of the food served. I have eaten here twice and both times it kinda sucked. You would do better earring across the street at Diabio's read more

Love the spinach strawberry salad with grilled salmon. It's such a big salad I usually get half to go for lunch the next day. The salmon is always grilled just right! (And the dirty martini is very excellent!) I just wish they had later hours on Friday or Saturday. read more

Great food and service at the pre-opening event today. Looking forward to this new option in Aiken.

First time visiting this metro, we have eaten at others before here. We were greeted by a very immature group of "kids", allot of playtime going on at the host area. We were ignored until the conversation was over among the workers. Waited a half hour to be seated. While waiting for a server we observed a worker pinch another worker rear end! I spoke to a manager and explained I felt it was very inappropriate behavior. Service was mediocre. Food was hot and presented well. The manager, Brandon does care about this restaurant but I think he has a big task on hand while babysitting his team. With all the restaurants in town we will not be returning here. read more

Not overly impressed by this place. Rubbery pancakes that literally had to be torn them apart as they roll up if cut with a knife. Honestly I felt everything ordered was either prepared from frozen or store bought. We visited the establishment with a mindset of home cooked and left desiring a bit more for what we paid.If you like quick diner food with an upscale ambiance then recommended, but I'd prefer a small wait and tastier meal. Don't see us coming back anytime soon when there are better options for breakfast and lunch. Recommend The Village Cafe or What's Cooking Downtown. read more

Just moved to Aiken and tried Metro today. Very nice facility. We had a light lunch -- egg, cheese & bacon croissant, a cup of chicken noodle soup, and a half chicken salad sandwich. All was very good, except the soup was served lukewarm. The service was okay -- had to ask several times for lemon. We did have some concerns: the open kitchen appeared chaotic with several cooks bantering around. The cooks had on rubber gloves except one person who was seen handling food barehanded. Also, several of the cooks had Long dreadlocks with only a small portion of the hair covered by a cap (probably a health code violation). Overall, we did not get the impression that this was a well managed operation. read more
