It was a pleasure working with David and the Metro team. This was our first time using a general contractor on a project, which was initially a total remodel of our master bathroom. We "interviewed" 3 contractors for this project and Metro provided a reasonable and realistic quote and a very thorough contract. I was personally impressed with David's willingness to explain all the details to us in easy-to-understand terms and his proposal was extremely thorough/detailed compared to the other proposals. As other reviews mention, he frequently pointed things out that could be done a different, better, or cheaper way, which we would have never known/thought about. THAT is exactly the kind of expertise and quality we were looking for. He has also been good at answering our billions of questions, despite being extremely busy (everyone decided to do home renovations during pandemic lockdown). The rest of the Metro team was lovely to work with as well, although the language barrier was occasionally amusing/challenging. We also appreciated that the last step of the project involved us reviewing the work and marking anything in blue tape that we weren't happy with (also, don't be afraid to point things out along the way - sometimes things are easier to fix during rather than after). We loved working with David so much that we decided to ask him to do several other projects in our home throughout the course of 2020. Full list of stuff that David and team have done: ​​* Master bathroom: gutted to the studs, replaced vanity, toilet, sink, shower, tub, all tile, moved some electrical, built a linen closet, etc. The only thing we didn't do was move any of the existing plumbing. * Replaced all interior doors and had them painted * Installed a new French door + transom, included creating a new rough opening, moving electrical, installing missing wood flooring and matching to existing floor * Moved and/or installed several electrical boxes * Guest bathroom remodel: replaced vanity, toilet, mirror, light fixture * Retiled fireplace We refer all of our friends to David and the Metro team! read more
